From this witness as well as the medical student, he had no chest pain or shortness of breath, but he was a bit incoherent, walked into a door laughed and said he was ok, fell down and spoke that he was ok and then his eyes glazed over and he was then unresponsive. Most likely nothing is going to happen to the police man that pushed him. He'll probably get suspended for a month and then back to work again.

Nothing the police, or anyone else says can justify the police behaviour in Ians case. Here we have a guy walking home from work, hands in pockets. No threataning language or behavior. So what if he was walking slow, big deal. A police officer charges in at ian from the side, shoves him over and than moves well away. At no point did the police officer, or those watching make any attempt to even arrest Ian for one of the many public order offences thet could have used.

The ONLY reason any of the police officers came forward is because they where caught on tape...many tapes. People wont remember the bottle that was thrown at the police while they where shielding Ian because they(the police) where the ones that put him there in the first place.. This attack on ian is assult at least and manslaughter at most. SHAME on the officer who pushed him, SHAME on the officers who stood by and done nothing. SHAME on the police.

I was talking to people in Tescos about this police violence. One asked if we would piss on a poicemen if he was on fire. We were unanimous in our response: no, not if he was on fire, but definitely if he was lying bleeding on the pavement. The police deserve all they get and next time we are asked to shed tears for one of them getting shot or stabbed, I hope we will remember Jean Charles de Menezes, Ian Tomlinson and the many other innocent victims of British police thuggery.

Tactics used by police is unacceptable. If the police have an ambition of violence and thuggery,then they should be drafted to international hotspots where the brave men and women of the armed forces are over streched.

What I don't like is the Police tell everyone that keep your hands to yourself when in a fight and they go and do it themselves look who's talking now. They seem to can't that's actually illegal if we did that and their doing it then that's illegal when they do it therefore they've broken the law. If it's them then oh no excuses and try to act like the hero by investigating themselves which is them taking the law into their own hands yet we're not allowed to take the law into our own hands.
