I live in Detroit so we don't get the lake effect snow, however, there was a good foot of snow on my roof (melting fast now due to a short Feb. thaw), but some people use flamethrower type devices to clear their roofs, and that is why houses burn down, or up. I'm in southern Cal and if I want snow, I just drive up to Big Bear to do night skiing, but here it just drizzles or rains a little.
Just got a new small Cam from my husband, so I will upload something the day after tomorrow.
I've been to Chicago 3 times, but not any other town around Michigan. With my life experience, I understand the many phases of snow and its coldness all too well.
my Holland has the last windmill that your Holland allowed to be transported out of the Netherlands. It's called De Zwaan, and is the only authentic, working Dutch windmill in the U.S.
Oh cool. That name sounds familiar. I think that windmill was from the Zaanstreek (that's near our capitol Amsterdam). Don't worry, you can take some more without asking. There's plenty of windmills here. No one would miss it ^___^
