I know you must be a black belt to teach traditional arts, I myself have a second degree black belt in Okinawan Goju Ryu and taught it for several years. When I changed to Pankration I realized everything I had learnt in karate came down to one thing only, making kicks,punches etc. look fancy without being realistic. You can't truly become proficient as a fighter through katas and the sparring in Traditional arts is useless.

Yes they do block with they're hand by their side easily but against other styles that practice the same way. A muay thai fighter would never fight that way so would win. Muay thai has been proven in past and even currently to be the best and most effective single art, however MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) is the most effective ,it combines several techniques of modern martial arts.

Stances are useless especially low down ones like the guy in the video, so I'm assuming his style was Kung Fu. In a real fight there is only one stance that would ever work and that's a natural stance.
