  • very nice restoration....glad to see she took home 1st place. she deserved it for sure....

  • Must be mad easy to do a goog paint job on a feiro you can take all the damn body parts off

  • Wow amazing job! I love these cars!!!

  • wow this is one of the coolest looking fieros ive ever seen the color brings out the sporty style of the car. you did a great job on it.

and are you from canton ohio? thats where im from!! cool

  • @carlover89 I'm from Pierre, SD, the car show was in Canton South Dakota.

  • What happened to this car? You sure did raise it from the dead if you ask me.

  • The images are great, and it looks like you put an enormous effort into the car with great results. I would have liked the video even more, though, if you ditched the cheesy music and just talked over the photos with descriptions of what you did, what the challenges were and what you might do differently next time.

I envy you; I wish I had the time and commitment to take on a project like that.

  • @das564 I agree about the cheesy music...

  • good job haveing my 84 painted right now

  • Good & Thorough job! It looks great. No, you don't have to put a bigger motor in it. Stock is fine.

  • This very shade of yellow was a factory option for an 88 formula is the pre resto blue the co0lor it came with new or?

  • @mikeys316 The original factory color was white. I liked the blue but wanted it a "factory " color so I went with yellow.

  • Good job on the fiero. I plan on getting an old fiero gt and restoring it too

  • Sehr schön wieder aufgebaut. Die Mühe hat sich gelohnt.

    Glückwunsch !!!

    Mike From Germany.

  • Google says this translates to: "Very nice set up again. The effort was worth it."

  • 88 formula, awsome :)

  • it's an awesome car. i hope you are considering a massive v8 engine as upgrade.

  • how do you get the trim pieces off?

  • @jmpfixer Theyre held in with nylon rivets.. You will need a hammer and small punch to remove them

  • @jmpfixer Theyre held in with either torx head screwws or in some areas plastic rivets

  • i like the new yellow paint!!!

  • I have a Fiero as well and I'm thinking about restoring it. Was there a lot of rust on the car when you first started? I also noticed the front end had some damage on it, was there any frame damage or just body panel damage?

  • There was no rust or frame damage. The previous owner lost control on ice and slid under a cable guard rail, only plastic damage.

  • your not the only 1 with a fiero in need of some love i have a 1985 with a tad bit of rush to work with like most of the floor

  • excellent job!!!!! thanks for keeping it stock you have a beautiful car!!!!!!!

  • thats a REALLY amazing job you did restoring your fiero. looks amazing :D props on a great job.

  • wow jaw drop i actually just found a fiero for 800 bucks but it needs some tranny work and paint after seeing this i may just get it

  • Very inspiring - great job with the resto!

  • me and my dad are trying to restore a gt fastback correct me if i called it something wrong

  • WOW! Great job!

  • The engine remains stock, cleaning and tuning only.

  • What did you do to the engine to restore it?

  • Very nice job. I have a white '88 Fiero Formula as well and have owned other Fieros. I hope to one day get the body and some misc. things restored. You couldn't have picked a better example to restore. The Formula is really starting to dwindle in numbers and will probably, next to the '84 Indy, become one of the more collectable models not too long from now to have.

Most all Fiero owners watching this video should take note - this is how you create a great car.

  • Fiero rules

  • Ressurecting the Nightmare is awsome, The Supercar nightmare is the Pontiac Fiero. Major Horsepower, Major Kit Upgrades , & Major Looks is why they pulled the Plug in 1988. The Fiero was Nighmare because it was pennies on the dollar and had potential to out perform cars worth $100.000.00 and much more, with some upgrades. Long live the Pontiac Fiero.

  • nice job man i wish i had taken more pictures when i did mine lucky you even found an 88 Formula don't get much better than that. Great job man.

  • The 88's are something special, a complete different feel than the older Fiero's.

  • my brother and i are putting a 3.4 DOHC in an 84 SE and we are also going to do a fast back conversionthis summer. but i think we're keeping the 84 front end. it will be fun!

  • You guys could make a living at this! Very nice work. I too would like to do this kind of restore on my 88 GT. I hope to see you do another Fiero.

  • I did two other restores, but that was before I had the digial camera.

  • Awesome, thanks! Thanks for putting a good car back on the road again.

How long did this take? You painted it yourself? I wouldn't mind doing the paint but I've no idea how. Do you have a site dedicated to this restore?

  • I took my time, it probably took a year and a half. I did not paint it, I leave that for the pros. A friend of mine painted it in his body shop,

  • Great work there, my friend! Good choice on the color selection too; that blue couldn't have been original since it was an 87-only color and the yellow was unique to the 88s.

  • The factory color was white, previous owner painted it blue. After they spun it on ice and went under a cable guard rail, I bought it from the tow company for the tow charge.

  • The car looks great! I bought a yellow 88 Fiero Formula new, and still have the car. The yellow has faded over the years, but your repaint looks so good, I'm motivated to get the panel-off paint job! Love this video!!!

  • waw congratulations, very nice ride, i want a fiero 84 and i want it for restoration too, is very nice when you fix your own car, I had a ford fiesta 2004 and i did every single modification, have a nice day and again congratulations, nice ride, nice job and godd vid

  • Wow...very cool. My dream is to be able to do this to my Fiero someday...

  • Very nice job on Car and Video !

  • Looks like your hard work paid off.
