Actually if u dont put a little hole in the cap theres a better chance of it not working, the cap needs to be metal, cause if its plastic, then it will melt, u dont need to use just a sobe bottle either.
Basically u need an empty sobe bottle that u fill up with gasoline to about 2/3 of the way, or right where the top of the bottle starts to curve inward. Then you need a really hot fire going with some really hot embers. After u get a hot fire going you seal the sobe bottle with its cap(and don't put a hole in the cap, it ruins it), seal it pretty tight and then carefully place the sobe bottle in the fire facing upward. After you place the bottle in the fire run away about 40 ft and wait.
What's happening is that the gasoline will start to boil and the gasses will want to escape. As they start to escape slowly through the top the bottle will build up pressure and start to hiss and be hissing flames. The cap is made out of aluminum so as the bottle gets hot the cap will flux at 1200 degrees farenheit, which relieves the pressure and causes the explosion of flames. Note the bottle will not explode unless it is cracked or damaged.
Nice smoke ring! I got one snd put a piece of copper tubing in the lid with a bolt shoved on it and plugged it with glue and the pressure shot out the glue. since the tube went to the bottle it shot liquid gas all over the fuckin place. don't try it near houses.

Diesel doesn't work very good with SoBe bombs....
I've never done one in the day before, that is interesting. 40oz beer bottles work the best though.

thats because the ignition temperature of diesel is much higher than gas, and it cant be lit just by holding a flame to it.
