They're not listening to each other, which is typical in real life, but bad for improv; that's why it keeps getting louder. They keep rejecting each other's premises, and that leads to a lot of "You're lying." "No, I'm not" "yes, you are. "No, I'm not.." etc. Listen to each other and assume that everything the other person says is 100% true.
