What I heard is that a couple decates ago they try to introduced Barbie to the oriental world and it was not accepted since is was too different to them, caucasian estereotype, not only the blue eyes but too long legs, orientals didn't like that, it just didn't become popular then. Will see what happens now...

Well I guess Mattel thought it was a good idea to push a Caucasian doll in China, cause Asia's own cartoon characters (Pokemon, Sailor Moon, etc) are not even Asian, lol...[shakes head]
