  • I've recently been listening to this album. I didn't care for this band at first but they really have grown on me. The track that really drew me in was see no evil.

  • You're like a nervous, thoughtful Busey. I personally, give Marquee Moon a very VERY light 8. And who needs to listen the second side of an ICONIC ALBUM? If you can't say it in on one side, you can't say it. That's what I've always said. Second sides are all B-sides and bullshit if you ask me. No, seriously people have asked me about that and I say that.

  • @ConstantineRobbins A B-side is literally the second side of an album, so yeah all the tracks on the second side are B-sides. Also, I disagree with you completely. The second side of an album usually turns out to be my favourite. Abbey Road, Remain In Light, Unknown Pleasures and Never Mind The Bollocks, Here's The Sex Pistols for a few examples.

  • This is my fav album of alltime does that make me a indie nerd ?

  • @series360 Television is too outie to be indie.

  • I agree, Guyding Light is the least good song. It's the only one I don't like. I used to really disslike Torn Curtain too but I've learned to apreciate it.

Best song? Vens, followed closely by Prove It, Marquee Moon and Elevation. I also love if you have the vertion with the extra tracks, Litle Johnny Jewel is absolutel brilliant.

  • @desasterz I actually do have the extended version, I love Little Johnny Jewel.

  • I think your lack of insight betrays your minimal familiarity with the material and the band. I give you 3.5 out of 10 as a reviewer/person.

  • We both have the same favorite song and least favorite song, but 8.5? I'd give it, like, 90000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000. Yeah.

  • IT WAS 1977!!!!!!!! I'm sorry if I was being mean but it was 1977, watch my review

  • 1975? :/

  • Arrggh, I always get the recording date and release dates mixed up. Recorded in 1975, released in 1977.

  • at least youre rating it! *shrugs :p

  • minimilist view?! STFU! :p its probably the most technical album i have heard since layla!! :S :p its hardly punk so you can STFU on that front too! :p you said it was more influential in the us when in fact their main cult following is from the uk - this sounds like im coming off as a douchebag but im just sick and tired of not knowing things about music!! :/

  • What I mean by minimalist is having an approach to the music that keeps things simple not only in playing style but in recording style as well. While the album is a good example of guitar virtuosity, the recording style, with little or no overdubs, was minimalist, especially for that time period. They had a large influence in both the UK and the US, but the fact stands that Richard Hell by himself had a large impact on the NY scene, and the bands he was in had a great deal of influence as well.

  • lol you're too nice damnit!! :p

  • no the best song in friction dickface! :p

  • We all have different opinions, glad you could share yours with me. Thanks for the comment!

  • the last 3 songs are boring? you're an idiot! *shrugs :p

  • I don't think I said they were boring, I think i said by the time I get around to them, I'm ready to listen to something else. When I listen to just those three songs by themselves they're okay. Thanks for the comment!

  • Watch my review!

  • one of my favourite albums ever. Great interview. This is real punk, not greenday

  • haha I can agree with that! Glad you liked the vid.

  • Than you should try and listen to side 2 of the album first. haha. idk about the call on guiding light....every time i listen to the album i get lost in the beauty of the guitar in that song. good review and cultural tie in though

  • Gaahhh! Only the first 4 tracks?! "Prove It" is a GEM! (and it's at the end of the album).

  • I know, I know shame on me. The last tracks are good it's just that by the time I get around to them, I'm ready to listen to something else. I must also admit, that I am a Television novice, so I'll have to ask you to forgive me.

  • I would agree with everything you said here tyler. I hope some people check them out, not too many have heard of them
