The filipina (yaya) nanny story is mostly true.. the agony of leaving their family behind and workin in the other side of the world just to give their family a better future...
I want to see the film but I don't know when it will be released in Spain. Next year I will be in Berlin and I want to go Berlinale festival, is it possible to see the actors or just the films?
I saw MAMMOTH at the Berlinale. It was as close to a true masterpiece as I've seen. Incredibly moving and thought provoking - I find it ridiculous that the other reporters felt they should "boo" it just because it wasn't what they were expecting...which seems to be exactly what happened. This critic has the story right. I FELT the blood, the sweat and the sadness of these characters - on such a level that I couldn't wait to hug my child.
I saw Mammoth at the Berlinale as well, and I liked it very much. I went in there without any expectations and that is probably the best way to approach it. It has it lengths at the beginning but once you are over it, it's a very moving film and it keeps you thinking for awhile.
