  • Oh brilliant. You're quite good at explaining and demonstrating these stretches. I will certainly benefit from this. Thank you for taking the time to make this video!

  • hahaha, you're hilarious, your little remarks cracked me up:') you're amazing at this, definitely going to use your tips:) ps your hair is beautiful:|

  • @mersylla I think it doesn't hurt her knee because she has got a carpeted floor in her room and are carpeted floor is softly so it probably doesn't hurt when you don't have a carpeted floor you can try it on your carpet if you have one okay this was only a little advice and I don't think this help so much just try it

  • Great Tips Xox

  • you make it looks easy I hurt my self trying do this I think Iam going to get mey split befor I got in to this

  • Also when you do the lunge stretch and you pull your back leg up, doesn't hurt your knee ?

  • How long did it take you to get your splits ?

  • simple instructions for a beginner on how to not to over stretch, well done and very impressed. Keep up the good work.

  • I could tell right at the beginning you knew how to do the splits by the way your other leg was.

  • if i did what you did at 4:55

could it injury if i'm not warmed up ?

the Weather here is already so hot

  • Everybody sounds different in a recording.

  • You are hilarious, kiddo LOL... ;o)

  • Well I guess everyone has an egg just sitting on the carpet waiting to be picked up

  • @polkadotsnstripes100 Haha, you'd be mad not to! :L

  • Do An Overstraddle Maybe Of 270 Degrees. And You Should Wear Tights It'll Look Better

  • lol!!! epic tutorial! except my legs are too long to use a doorframe, i end up smashing my feet into the top

  • 4:25 -4:31 :D hahaah... you disappear!

  • Hahaha ur so funnY! You make stretching fun :D

  • you are flexible, girl:O

  • Wow. This is, like, the 10th video I've seen on stretching, and yours is by far the best! Your sense of humour is very welcomed as well. Cheers!

  • Tutorial ????most people can not do this things.

  • Oh I see "though the vibrations of your bone and entrails"! You learn something new everyday!

  • Haha yur the same as me my left leg iz slightly better too :)

  • Hi pls can u give me some tips of how do get my bck leg straight nearly there but mh backleg isn't straight all the time

  • I love the narration anyway. Especially how nonchalant you are about everything.

  • Holy hit the oversplits in the door was crazy!

  • girl you are so flexible <3

  • In January, I started to stretch my legs to get the right split. I can do it since the February 13th(with warm up). However, I'm sore since 2 days. I tried it without warm up. How many time did it took you to be able to do the front split without any pain? I'm a 17 years old man. I hope I'll get the middle split.

  • what font did you use for the title at the start ? (:

  • Love your voice! you're hilarious too haha thanks for the tutorial!

  • Im making my goal in front bending to be as good as yours. Did you do much stretching before the took this video?

  • thanks that helped plus ur comedy made me lol! :)

  • ur funny

  • even in the tutorial you are awesome ... WONDERFUL! More videos please! I miss the videos of "frontbends" ... from many different styles ... would be cool! sitting, lying down ... legs together or apart ... if possible, of course ... :)

    Congratulations again!

  • I'm trying to do some of these stretches, is there anything easier I could start with? My muscles are so tense since I haven't stretched properly in years :-/

  • Do you think you could make a video on how to improve back flexibility. I have been trying to improve it lately :)

  • I love your videos, are you just naturally flexible, then? Or did you have to work extra hard to be like this? :) I am a male ballet dancer, and I'm not naturally flexible and have only achieved oversplits via hard work and lots of stretching, much like you demonstrate here! I'm just fascinated with the fact that people are born with this... I wish I had been.

  • I guess it feels good to be every men's dream girl, doesn't it?

  • hope you had a good birthday KT :)

    You sound so adoreable :3

  • First of all - Happy Birthday! :o)

I wouldn't say you sound "bored" - I think you were going for "professional", like one would expect from a teaching video, and for the most part I think you managed that quite well. As for sounding different, that's the case with anyone I believe. I've been on the radio for about ten years and I still don't completely recognise my own voice when I hear it.

Nice work once again, as always. :)

  • "Also it is more aesthetically pleasing than flapping. Flapping never got anyone anywhere." Rofl :D I love it! Its my new text tone haha

  • Your legs look like butterfly wings :)

  • @ladodgerschick Thanks! Yes, exact replicas, brightly-coloured symmetrical splodges and all.

  • ?? thats a mean thing to say

  • Happy Birthday!! love your vids..my legs were always my weakness when it came to flexibility and this is a bit inspiring :) thanks

  • The recorded voice sounds different because - aside from the quality of the microphone, you usually hear your own voice not through the vibrations of the air, but through the vibrations of your own bone and entrails.

    It's SCIENCE.

  • @Sudrien LOL! Because who needs ears when you can hear through your entrails? :P Science teaches me something new everyday.

  • :D How dare you say something like that about my carpet?! I'm quite sure it's upset now. cX

  • Happy Birthday ! and thank you for this good video ! I will use it for my training !

  • Happy birthday katie! and thanks for this i'm going to use this once i'm healed from surgury!

  • happy birthday!!! and great vid! ^_^

  • very good demo , i like when you stretch and read a book. can you make a pointed feet video demo, i think you ahve fantastic flexible feet

  • When I try to sink into the straddle split like you do @ 4:23-4:29, my tensor fasciae latae muscles [*somewhere around there, but I have no exact location of the pain]... hurts and feels compressed and instead of being stretched, especially the muscles that surround my hip bone. What puzzles me is that the same place feels so uncomfortable as I do my left splits. I don't know what's going on with my body.

  • @fateindustry The muscles involved in doing straddle splits (adductors, tensor fasciae latae, gracilis, etc.) are generally weak because they don't get a lot of use. Going into a straddle split in the way that I did at 4:23 requires a fair amount of strength from them, and if they're not strong enough, they will hurt. As for your left split, perhaps you aren't sitting squarely or properly, so your muscles have to work hard to keep you balanced and upright.

    Does that help? :)

  • @ailashes Yep knew it. It's just the tensor fasciae latae for me...that gives me the most tension. And yeah, I do have trouble sitting squared on my left split unlike my right split.

  • @ailashes So in order to do so...i might be doing these stretches wrong the whole time this whole year....Do you sit relaxed the whole time with breathing, do you compress your muscles, and do you force at all? I did all three, but none really worked out. How do you usually stretch?

  • I love the brittish accent hahahaha! Great vid, and have a happy birthday! :D

  • @Truebluesea Thank you!

  • happy b-day!

  • @themindfreak08 Thanks!

  • @ailashes your welcome

  • no mobe amazing backbends? :(

  • @nvks I can do some in the next video if you like :) I just really enjoy doing the splits, so these videos are entirely self-indulgent.

  • Happy birthday Katie! :-) Seems like good tips though I'm not into splits myself :-)

I guess it's called Butterfly because your legs sort-of form the shape of a butterfly, especially if you flap them...

  • @bugfinder It's not particularly symmetrical though, is it? :P Still, thank you :D

  • @ailashes Hehe, the butterfly may be symmetrical if you have your feet further from your body. You cheat by pulling your feet all the way in, you're just way too flexible ;-)

  • @bugfinder I see, well... that makes more sense, but I'm still not terribly keen on butterfly stretches. :P

  • Happy Birthday!!! Don´t you have a party? Where´s the cake!? :-D

If you don´t have one, come over and I´ll bake you one! Trust me, I´m quite a good chef... ;-)

By the way, great stretching! There are some moves I haven´t even seen before! Like them a lot! Your abilities are extraordinary!

  • @Giz199 Thank you! No party or cake this year, but your offer has brightened up my day. I'm glad you like the vid.
