What is wrong with russians copy hollywood system and organisation of filming movies?. Of course many hollywood movies suck but that is becouse they are so masively producted. It is logical that something masively produced has many bad products but there are also many good products as well. If russians would produce more movies i am sure there would be a lot of realy good movies.

Went to go see the 3D one a few weeks back. The world wasn't believable (not required I know.) Floating mountains, six-legged horses etc. The slow 3D moments were nice. During the fast ones you got lost in the action.

Was shocked when I heard rumors it is an Oscar favorite.

Well it's clear this movie dosen't come close to a Batman or Avatar as far as graphics, but I'm sure in Russia and Eastern Europe it may do well. I would suggest movies in the mold of South American that have great stories about what is happening now, not all the flashy graphics, because if the graphics are crap people will not watch.

I hope this film to go well. Seriously: it seems very well produced and with a great sense of humour. Besides, if it succeeds to make good money, the Russian film industry tend to recover from the damages caused by the global economic crisis, and to spend more in other movies. Love Russian cinema!
