  • Gay Plane! You've just been 'cocked' by the Kraut police!

  • Cocked! (This is so Gay & Kraut) "Ah no! noooooo! Amazing!"

  • soo fake

  • u can ear the differns in the enges form dip pich to i a higher pich

  • that looks so fake

  • This pilot is able to land his plane with only 1 wing! (This is a fake video. I'd take it down, but it is generating a lot of traffic to my channel! Hahaha!)

    lol

  • My grandpa just sent me this video - looks like you've got some people fooled!

  • FAKEEEE

  • yeah a commercial however channeling views to your video does what? nothing, you don't get a trophy, you don't get money, you get nothing but a OMGZ I got a bunch of views on the youtubes on the internetz man wowsers.

  • I get to share with others. I don't look for rewards. Why do you care? Midlife crisis or something?

  • Doesn't anyone read !!! He quite clearly posts this on the description.... "(This is a fake video. I'd take it down, but it is generating a lot of traffic to my channel! Hahaha!) " ....and everyone still has a go at him - he says it's a fake - we KNOW it's a fake ..... :)

  • fake

  • Yup... definately a fake.

There are actualty two aircraft:... a RC and full size. The switch is made to the full size (real) aircraft at about the 50 sec mark when it goes out of focus for a few frames.

  • Well done..Cool great job making this vid

  • Fake vid is fake

  • Hey... im from Germany.

I saw Galileo at the television.

    Thats a very good fake.

    The landing is not good.

  • A good fake.

  • This video is from GALILEO(A GERMAN TV SHOW),it is really a fake!!!!!!!!

    hehehehe!!!

They show it last week in the TV,how they do it!!!!!

  • Jaah wie schnell sich so ein Gerücht verbreitet... LOL

  • All facts about the Air Racer and the dissolution of the case you'll find here:

    viralmarketing[dot]de

  • nice cgi. pretty believable. whoever made this -- props

  • Was there a likely switch over to a radio controlled model plane that had been rigged for a wing detachment?

  • This video has been modified by a computer u can see this clearly with the landing, a plane wouldnt just bounce once like that and then be smooth and the tail wheel would have snaped in half on the first bounce. The tail wheel also disappears every now and then at the end if u look closely.

  • Wow, some of you guys take this very seriously, ie: "to all who think its real.. its called SCHOOL". And to you, its called A LIFE. Hahahaha.

  • when the camera blurs it is switching to cgi

  • It is possible to do a one wing landing- just not with a full scale aircraft.

  • the wing falls of at 0:16 at 0:20 "where is his right wing?!" LOL

    this is stupid

  • Wow.

Everyone who's been screaming about physics, aerodynamics, acting like know-it-alls and how this is even remotely possible, are all a bunch of fools. TOOLS, even!

    You think this is real?

It's a freaking viral marketing campaign for a German clothing company called "Killathrill". Their graphics are all over the plane.

Stop being a bunch of babbling idiots, screaming about what you think you know and give your mind a rest for once.

    THINK.

    Think BEFORE you speak.

  • Perhaps the race pilot was sponsered by killathrill, don't tell me you have never seen a race plane with red bull logos all over it.

  • Do some research before you post.

    /watch?v=qvBep7-gi5s

  • yea I've seen that vid, I'm just saying that the killathrill graphics doesn't mean its fake.

Don't make assumptions before you post.

  • No-one suggested that the 'killathrill graphics' meant that it's a fake!

What makes it a fake, is that it's a fake!

It just so happens that the fake was commissioned by KillaThrill to get some publicity.

    It worked!

  • i'll give a simple explanation as to why this is fake (there are numerous reasons but I'll give just this one). the plane banks left just before touch down. considering his left wing is the one that is still attached and it is at a positive angle of attack it will generate LIFT. the other side won't as there is no wing. therefore it can ONLY bank clockwise or to the right unless the wing was at a negative angle of attack which it isn't. thank you. to all who think its real.. its called SCHOOL.

  • very well done fake. \

  • except for the voice actors. even if the video was perfect i still wouldnt believe it because of the terrible acting jobs ;S

  • i agree, i think its possible, but this isn't the real deal

  • close

great up until his recovery from the wing

    nt though cool to watch

  • I so want to believe this is true, but it isn't. It does give me chills everytime I see it though even though and I love it for that!

  • Fake,

-Part of the video the sound does no match.

    - knife edge right before landing rudder goes straigh and the plane stays still with the nose up.

-The worst part is the landing when the plane is about at least 50Km/h and it bounces twice without break and land gear and stops within 20 meters without flipping the airplane or hitting the propeller.

-Many others flaws like shades and both wings bending backwards right before loosing one of them and so on....

  • I wanted to believe this video was real, but honestly i think its 100 percent fake.

  • Totaly fake and the worst camera effect ever. Not that the camera effect is not good its pretty but its too much.

  • Viral marketing at its best, just look at the last frame and it will be obvious!

  • Thank God.

  • camera work is too good for this to be real

  • Ive seen better graphics on a ps1

  • 0:46 - 0:54 watch carefully, you can see that this video is a fake!

    this is shit!

  • After he lost his wing, he spinned into the wrong direction. Because he lost his right one, he should have tilted to his right side because there was no lift any more.

    ---> Totally fake.

  • tottaly fake, he loses sight of the plane at just the right time and when its back it's clearly a ditial image.

  • they would have fooled more people if they used realistic physics when the plane touches down instead of the quick hop and even the prop stops almost immediately. Also the shaky ass camera suddenly tracks alongside the plane as it taxis etc.

  • LOL, I dig how some of you self-described aviation experts are trying so hard to convince others that this is not a fake (a good one but still a fake). I think this will trun out to be part of a viral ad campaign for German clothing company "killathrill".

Why do we not see a plume of fuel from the breach and where are the cables that control the flaps? Have a look at around 50sec and you can see the holes for the plastic pins that attach the wing. The model is swapped in for the real at 15sec

  • Exactly. Where is the broken spar?

  • This is very fake. No image of the falling wing.

  • obviously fake

  • Well done but it's still a fake.

  • It*s 3D.

  • fake fake fake fke its liek fakes the britn pears lol but that was really fake\

  • sooooo fake it hurts

  • how come theres no shrapnel when the wing comes off it doesnt just come clean. Not to mention how fake it just looks, the thing doesnt even look real you can tell its not real, the plane bounces once and just rolls on, it would at least rise again to show weight. The guy at the end is running but not getting closer 1.05 . Momentum dicktates that a plane wouldnt be able to pull of the move feet above the ground then stop within 3 seconds by just leveling out. The backgrounds a picture.

  • Why would there be shrapnel? The wing is attached with nuts and bolts. They broke. The wing fell off. The other wing has flaps and can slow forward momentum. The plane is NOT a JET and it is a VERY light prop. plane. When you test planes, you do a stall test. That is when you fly straight up till there is no lift and the plane stalls and falls backwards. Every plane has to go through a "stall test" after overhaul. The pilot is able to catch the plane in mid air and fly it.

  • Studied aviation you say? Have another go at defining 'stall'. Your explanation of it proves that either you didn't pay attention or your spinning a little story. BTW the video is fake.

  • twonyx

  • This is NOT a JET but a prop. plane. It is light enough that without a wing, the power of the prop. can pull it through the air. Just like a rocket flies without wings by pure force; the horsepower is enough to keep it up.

  • This NOT a fake, I worked on aircraft and studied Aviation and this is REAL!

  • This is fake . make a search " DEBUNKED: The Best Air Race Pilot Ever!!! "

  • I looked at the "Dubunked" video and the person making it doesn't understand lighting, camera angle and perspective. It is the same plane both in the air and on the ground. This is not FAKE but REAL!

  • Looked fake to me at the first view. For exemple, the plane behaviour when landing is not realistic. Not enough inertia. A "camera shak" tries to mask it. Other problems with the soundtrack and shadow level ...

  • to twonyx: The 'debunked' video is valid. I made my own comparisons from the original video, from two shots where the plane is vertical to the camera. One at 15 seconds, and the other at 45 seconds. The distances from the nose to the leading edge of the wings are completey differrent! Try it yourself. One plane has almost twice the distance from nose to wing leading edge as the other. Two planes = FAKE.

You're going to look silly whe the truth comes out, if you keep insisting that it's real!

  • O come on...you study Maths and Quantum Physics.....You should be smart enough to realise that this isn't real....This was made and used in a commercial for a German clothes company. It's an advert. Seriously look at 0:50 the way it bounces when it lands, aircraft can't do that without being damaged. Prop aircraft like that spiral out of control without a wing, it doesn't just level out, land , stop and chuck a 90 degree turn all in 10 seconds.

Seriously...you are smart enough to know this

  • Next, you're going to tell me there is no easter bunny and no santa. Stop ruining the fun!

  • Thanks for drammatic lucky incident!! 5*!!!

  • WOW too fake

  • I don't know about you, but planes don't bounce like that. :47-:51.

  • Not fake and here's why. Anyone who knows anything about aerodynamics knows that when the plane has both wings it has more vertical lift because of the surface area of the wings. However, if a wing is lost, in order to get the maximum amount of lift, you need to create more surface area. So by rolling the aircraft 90 degrees more vertical lift is created by the fuselage. So, what this pilot did was use the fuselage to maintain lift until he could get the aircraft back on the ground.

  • If you don't believe me, check out the video posted here on youtube of the Israeli pilot landing his F-15 after he lost his right wing in a collision with another aircraft. The only difference is the Pilot of the F-15 had on board flight computers to help keep the plane in the air until he could get it back on the ground.

  • i say its fake olol but it had me there for a few seconds

  • did anyone else notice at 54 seconds that his right wing is on the airplane?

  • No, that's his wing root you're looking at

  • If it's fake, people will just keep debating. If it's real someone will post the story from a reliable news source. So far theres been nothing in AW&ST, Flight International or any of the trades. So far, it's fake (but I hope it turns out real).

  • fake fake fake

  • Totally Fake!, i've seen boobs on strippers that looked more real.

  • Completely fake. 45-55 seconds in says it all...

  • fake.

  • People, people, people.... why is there debate about this? Yes, I too believe in the almighty God and his son Jesus.... and yes, if this were real, then the pilot of this plane would be the next Billy Graham.... but, please... it's NOT REAL. I can't believe I'm commenting.... but apparently someone thinks this video is real. Kudos to the producer!

  • Are people really that stupid that they believe this is real? If its real then the camera man is really fast because hes moving parallel to the plane on the ground at the same speed as the plane.

  • I whant him flying me in a commercial flight. ;-) wow that should be a required test for being a commercial pilot. omg woo hooT

  • OMG how fake can something look!! HAHAHAHAHA!!

  • 2 rite

  • It could be the recapicitator interacting with the flux capacitor giving it forward momentum through the bi-axial thruster; this would explain the pitch / roll manuever leading to the unusual landing. JMHO.

  • Don't forget about great 3D programmers.

  • First of all if the guy is on the ground why is the video bouncing blurs out fades a bit then when the plane turns it clears. If I had a youtube video of my dick black and Im white you people would believe it.

  • HaaHaha!

  • Borts is a dumbass you can see it's a fake watch the plane right before it lands double exposesure video starts bluring out remote plane who knows but it's a fake.

  • wow !!!

  • If this were real, wouldn't there be airelon and flap control cables dangling out of the wing joint? And how about the fuel system tubing to get fuel from the wing tanks to the engine?

  • ya its probably fake because at 0 45 sec it looks so fake and and at 0 48 it looks really fake to plus the air plane is not making any stall noises or any thing its just heavy and light throttle sounds

  • "Boy, thats really believable....."

  • Boortz said it looked real, but that landing would of been more "bouncy" with that impact and off weight balance. Nice fake though.

  • He was pulling positive rolling 'G's', yet the wing peels off towards the bottom of the airplane. It should have gone the opposite way, this is fake.

  • Artagus: Brilliant! I missed that, but you're absolutely right. Wing snapped in the opposite direction of the lift it was exerting. Good catch!

Also noted by others: Where's the N number on this airplane?

  • Thanks Monsterrrr, I keep telling my wife my 3 years teaching acrobatics in T-38s was not a waste of time!

  • The airplane is rolling left, and appears to be loaded positively at the moment of failure. The rolling moment of the airplane continues to be leftward after the failure because the control inputs haven't changed immediately after the failure. The separated wing is being "left behind" by the rest of the airplane, and is not behaving in an unexpected way.

The airplane is probably not registered in the US, and may be EXPERIMENTAL.

  • Many professional pilots will say this is possible. Certainly level knife-edge flight in this type of aircraft is, even missing a wing.

Credential-wise, I have B.S. and M.S. in aero engineering, am retired Naval Aviator, graduated Navy Test Pilot School in 1985, was later a flight instructor there, have flown over 80 types of military and civilian aircraft.

The issue is the impossible snapping left roll at around the 59 second point. Can't happen that way at that speed without a right wing.

  • Sorry... I meant the 49 second mark on the video.

Again, insufficient roll authority on a single aileron at low speed, even allowing for engine torque and rudder, to roll that fuselage 90 degrees in a fraction of a second.

The video is fun to watch -- kudos to the makers.

Another thing to notice -- freeze the vid at the 17 second mark (after the wing falls off) and you'll see a frame with the shadow of the MISSING wing on the fuselage. :D

  • Do you think that shadow might be made by the wheel fairing, rather than the "missing" wing? The shadow at the end of the video is directly below the airplane. Looks like it happened around noon.

  • It does look fake at the end, but I was thinking w/a symmetrical airfoil and a full-span aileron, he might be able to generate that left roll... Dunno, but it's still a cool vid.

  • The moment the pilot applies full left aileron in the landing "flare", it rolls left and drops rapidly into the ground. It loses lift as expected. Also, the ailerone deflection applied variously during the knife-edge approach would cause roll if the other wing was really there.

  • I'm a professional pilot with professional and aerobatic competition experience and this IS possible with a plane of this type.

  • This video is a really good production.... it had me going... but upon further studying I can see that it is a fake.. though very cool.. good job to the people that put it together...

    I give you an A+

  • haganpete Why do you say this is fake?

  • F-15 has a differential stab in the back for roll augmentation and can be flown high speed and landed without a wing. True fact an Israeli pilot did that.

Stunt planes can be flown level knife-edge at high speed using fuselage and thrust at high angle of attack for lift. Another true fact.

That said, the video is fake. Do Play/Pause from 48 seconds and you'll see a VERY fast roll (360 deg/sec?) to the left. Not going to happen with one aileron, no lift on the right, and a simple elevator.

  • listen very closely when the wing snaps off... does anyone else hear a click or something? I do and it happens at the exact moment that the wing broke... I know sound is fast, but that plane is pretty far away... Anyway, I think this is possible in real life, and the artists did an amazing job. Don't those pilots wear helmets?

  • OK, younguns crying "fake, CG!" your limited life experience and too many hours on XBox are showing.

"Amazing" isn't always faked, tho you can't believe everything you see online; Obama is 1 example.

Pilots really can be that good. It could and would HAVE to be flown in exactly as shown; the remaining wing must go straight up to get stable, rudder used for attitude, leave elevators pretty well neutral for yaw, the plane is a lifting-body and that race motor has all the thrust-to-weight needed.

  • That all being said, if the vid is faked, it's even more impressive; kind of like the Obama campaign, his citizenship, his socialism, his abortion rights, his tax 'cuts', his marxist mentors, his 'experience' getting-out the fraud vote, his contempt for the Constitution...then this was a VERY well done, slick fake by pros.

    Gee...just like Barack's high-flying campaign!

  • amazingly fake

  • OK skeptics, don't be so quick to scream fake. I've seen these stunt planes fly using nothing but engine power and the side of the fuselage to support the airplane. Full rudder, wings vertical, the aircraft will simply plow on its side the entire length of the runway. I've seen it done up close, many times. A sharp stunt pilot could recover a stunt plane like this and save it. Not the first time either. Google the Israeli F-15 that lost a wing and still made a safe landing at 250 mph.

  • I wouldn't be so sure that this is fake. I just watched a youtube video of a man landing an F-15 with one wing!

  • Soooo FAKE!!!! Too bad Neal Boortz the great talk radio show ost thought this was REAL. Neal is a Pilot and you would think a Pilot could figure out this was a FAKE. Come on Neal your a smart guy!!!!

  • fake ass video

  • Yeah, my instructor made me do that maneuver too on my BFR. I nailed it.

  • Pretty clearly CG. I'm not saying the maneuver isn't possible, but look at the motion of the landing & the propeller (0:45 'til the end). Even without those tipoffs, the whole plane (after 45 seconds) just looks like 3-D animation.

  • Totally unreal! Those planes have a thrust to weight ratio greater than the planes weight. Put it in the hands of an experienced stunt pilot and something like this is very possible. No, I do not believe this is faked but possibly staged, the video camera was in a pretty convienient place. If it was staged, the pilot's got balls big as dumptrucks.

  • Totally fake!. It can't be done in full scale aircraft, but several R/C pilots have pulled it off.
