my family used to own a 500 daytona (I believe it was called) with twin carbs and stock high pipes and my father never had any issues with the amals on it, or our t120c for that matter (which has 2 lefts thanks to being set up for flat track) and the stock mufflers sounded alot better than those
That is the classic sound of a trumpet! I miss my old Tiger! I picked it up from a friend for the price of his traffic warrant. Traffic warrants in California back in '77 were $65.50.
@granitsky When you say "plugged up", I think this may be Carb-Icing?, if it does it in cold damp weather... Try stopping for 5 minutes and letting the carb warm up. It tends to happen with a single carb because it's pulling twice the cooling air through it. Took me Years to find the answer.. Have a cigarette. Then it's Normal until it gets Stone Cold again (Tomorrow). Omit the Heat Spacer in Winter!. Doesn't fully Cure it.

That's right; just one carb to worry about. But if it gets plugged up... let's just say I've "limped" home a few times.

That's just an excuse made by wankers that don't know how to set up twin carbs.

@jamo2034
The time you save not syncing because you have a single carb isn't worth the horsepower decrease you get from not having the dual carb setup.
