@Luxai No i mean he really can't build robots at all and no tornado is upgraded and builded by tails so that means it maybe handy but it is not tails' powerful machines it only had volcan cannon,laser blaster (the 1st version) and the jet booster not only he can fly with it but also glides for a short time so it is alright with me and also luigi had his adventure so they never seen him that except anyone luigi is also skilled by flying things no he is not a mechanic that's on tails' turf etc.
@Maplewolf283 Luigi doesn't need machinery to win battles. He uses his raw powers to save the day with his brother Mario. Tails just builds things to assist Sonic like the X Tornado or the Sonic Power Cannon. Luigi can do EVERYTHING Mario can but Tails is only granted SOME of Sonic's powers. In the end, Luigi wins. And he's not a sidekick he's more of the second protagonist.
@theluigifan1 well yeah after all tails taught sonic how to do spin dash that sonic doesn't learn it takes a practice but luigi uses his hammer to turn mario into a ball that it not only slices enemies but also knock them away hard.

@sMCCarthyTV1 you mean daisy? they barely have a relationship. and barely go near one aanother. they only see each other in games like mario kart or in mario sports. tails is more smart, and is faster than luigi he has his air speed that matches close to sonic, tails has built a control adaptive kinetic robot leg version of the tornado, that has missles that shoot at high speed. without luigi's powerups he is useless and his strength wont cut it in sonic battle tails has combat experience.

Ever since her debut in those games, whenever she and Luigi were teamed up, they had team names like Steady Sweeties Shy Sidekicks and Tango Tanglers. And when Luigi won a trophy in Mario Power Tennis, Daisy came in and said, "Hey Sweetie, I'll take that! ;)". Even Nintendo is starting to make Daisy Luigi's girl as Peach is to Mario. The only reason they see each in those games because Daisy wasn't in any RPGs or platformers yet.

@wolfrecon117 Mario is Missing is the only edutainment game Luigi starred in. And Luigi's Mansion WASN'T an edutainment game. Also Luigi's personality is MUCH different than Mario's. Luigi's faster, he jumps higher, their voice tones are different, with Mario's sounding a bit more confident in contrast to Luigi's low shy voice. Also their fighting styles are totally different. Have you played the Smash Brothers games? If not check out Mario and Luigi. Their fighting styles are much different.
Luigi build the secret attic that mario cannot find it he does have improvement and he travels bowser's castle to steal bowser's shell and hide it in mario is missing in PC which that is technically a part of mario series.

Tails should obviously win because Luigi is just a Mario in green, while Tails has his own habilities and skill completely different of Sonic's (Except spin dash in early games).

@Maplewolf283 So, Wario has a "unconscious" rivallity with Shadow, they both have some similarities in abilities and powers, I don't know if Wario's abilities in Wario: Master in DIsguise, can compare to Shadow's other abilitites, but they both, again, have similarities.
Really I would like Toad, like Tails' rival (another one), both are fast, Tails is good with some technology and Toad can get artefacts to help Mario and company in the adventure, both are small comparing to main characters.

@Maplewolf283 silver can fly as fast as sonic and his telekinesis can pick up anything in his large ass radius and what ever silver grabs with his telekinesis ot won't escape! an goin all out, he has super silver wich allows chaos control and teleportation. and the ability of slowing or stopping time. silver in his super form can pick up an tons of buildings. and shoot telekinesis waves as well. manipulate physic attacks my ass! the mario characters are not really combat much.

Luigi may not be extremely brave as mario but his speed and well known athletictism could even make him had his fall slows him down luigi does have superhuman strength but it's still absolutely inferior to mario sonic's strength also inferior to mario but luigi can even keep up with shadow which they are both sonic and mario's shadow which eventually rivaled.
luigi can even run faster than tails he has the minds and the alternative ego of Mr.L which it would totally match tails mechanical prowess so luigi even fought diimentio and bowser without help in super mario galaxy and super paper mario.
Um, Tails is faster. With Sonic having the ability to travel faster than the speed of sound it is shown (in an anime or something I forget) that Tails can keep up with Sonic. Obviously he's not at the speed of sound when it is shown but it would be close too. I'm pretty sure a plumber couldn't run anywhere near that fast.

Luigi isn't technically a sidekick. He's starred in the famous Ghostbusters-esque game Luigi's Mansion and it's been renewed for a sequel which will be released in 2012 on the 3DS. The sidekick role is originally supposed to go to Yoshi or Toad. He's also considered a hero in Super Paper Mario meaning he's equal to Mario. Sure he's been Player 2 since his debut in 1983, but he's done incredible things Mario hasn't pulled off yet. Wish I could say the same for Tails....

@Luxai Mario and Luigi can beat down enemies just by JUMPING on them. AND they can pulverize GIANTS. I like Sonic and Tails ALOT don't get me wrong but remember Sega even said Tails isn't as powerful as Sonic. And sorry i never played Sonic Heroes so i didn't know that. But Mario and Luigi don't always use power-ups to win battles. In Super Mario Galaxy the only thing you could use to defeat Bowser was the Star Spin.

@Maplewolf283 Luigi doesn't need machinery to win battles. He uses his raw powers to save the day with his brother Mario. Tails just builds things to assist Sonic like the X Tornado or the Sonic Power Cannon. Luigi can do EVERYTHING Mario can but Tails is only granted SOME of Sonic's powers. In the end, Luigi wins. And he's not a sidekick he's more of the second protagonist.

Ever since her debut in those games, whenever she and Luigi were teamed up, they had team names like Steady Sweeties Shy Sidekicks and Tango Tanglers. And when Luigi won a trophy in Mario Power Tennis, Daisy came in and said, "Hey Sweetie, I'll take that! ;)". Even Nintendo is starting to make Daisy Luigi's girl as Peach is to Mario. The only reason they see each in those games because Daisy wasn't in any RPGs or platformers yet.

Really I would like Toad, like Tails' rival (another one), both are fast, Tails is good with some technology and Toad can get artefacts to help Mario and company in the adventure, both are small comparing to main characters.

Um, Tails is faster. With Sonic having the ability to travel faster than the speed of sound it is shown (in an anime or something I forget) that Tails can keep up with Sonic. Obviously he's not at the speed of sound when it is shown but it would be close too. I'm pretty sure a plumber couldn't run anywhere near that fast.

Luigi isn't technically a sidekick. He's starred in the famous Ghostbusters-esque game Luigi's Mansion and it's been renewed for a sequel which will be released in 2012 on the 3DS. The sidekick role is originally supposed to go to Yoshi or Toad. He's also considered a hero in Super Paper Mario meaning he's equal to Mario. Sure he's been Player 2 since his debut in 1983, but he's done incredible things Mario hasn't pulled off yet. Wish I could say the same for Tails....

But in SMB3 he used to be not scared and bulid stuff kinda and tails in STH Satam not much cause he only want to do is warning others,telling the truth about sally copied as a robot (only once),flying away and watching about danger and not much as a fighter and tails i a bit too young to join instead sonic always take care of him and in AOSTH tails easily get capture cause he's not only listen what sonic says but he did he always says it's too dangerous so i saw what tails and/or luigi did.

Sorry Luigi. Tails has my vote. The fact that he can build a freaking starship with his bare hands is enough for a vote. Not to mention the cuteness factor. As apposed to a full grown italian man who runs away from shadows on the wall because he was scarred as a child while living in a haunted mansion. hmm mentally unstable italian. @Tailsthehacker01 Uh, Luigi built TWO robotic versions of his HEAD and they beat the mushrooms out of his own BROTHER. Luigi controls lightning. Tails has a FEAR of lightning. Meaning if Luigi shows up showing of his electrical abilities at Tails, Tails will freak out! And that who Luigi running from the shadows in the wall, that's what make Luigi hilarious.

@theluigifan1 Dude, dude, Tails and Sonic beats up robots all the time. If anything what you're saying indicates Mario would get skewered by most of the Sonic bosses. Also, Tails can use lightning, like he did in Sonic Heros - Plus his Super form is the best of all - Added to invincibility he gets four super flickies - That's like 5 times the super. Look, I'm not biased, but everything is in the Sonic odds.

@Luxai Mario and Luigi can beat down enemies just by JUMPING on them. AND they can pulverize GIANTS. I like Sonic and Tails ALOT don't get me wrong but remember Sega even said Tails isn't as powerful as Sonic. And sorry i never played Sonic Heroes so i didn't know that. But Mario and Luigi don't always use power-ups to win battles. In Super Mario Galaxy the only thing you could use to defeat Bowser was the Star Spin.

@theluigifan1 Yeah, and that's why I choose team Sonic any day, they don't need ppwerups at every turn to kick ass - There's a reason why in every fan made Sonic Vs Mario Sonic only got close to losing because he didn't eat powerup stuff.

@theluigifan1 That's true, Egg Carrier has a wak spot - Luigi is just a human with multiple weaknesses, not a flying fortress made of steel. You can go and make as many series as you want, canon stuff changes nothing.

@Luxai Yes but watch ScrewAttack's Death Battle between Mario and Sonic. It states Mario has superhuman strength for a human. Same as Luigi since Luigi can do everything Mario can and sometimes does it better. And what weaknesses? If you're talking about ghosts that's a fear not a weakness.

@theluigifan1 Being afraid is a big weakness. If not, stop talking about Tails being afraid of thunder. Yes, they are pretty strong, but... They are not nearly fast enough to hit Sonic, while Sonic has no problems hitting THEM. Can't hurt what you can't hit. Speed>Strength. And I have watched the death battle, I'm gonna quote it for ya.
"Their powerups seemed evenly matched, countering blow for blow. But with their arsenals exhausted, Mario was no match for Sonic's natural speed."

@Luxai But remember Mario and Luigi are pretty smart. They can always fake Sonic out. I know dude. But i don't really care too much who's better. All 4 of the characters are cool to me. And to be honest, i sort of would've preferred it to be Luigi vs Shadow. Tails vs Yoshi would've worked a little better.

@theluigifan1 Mario smart? I thought that was Luigi, Mario just powers through everything. And Luigi vs Shadow? Really? Shadow is the ultimate lifeform, and he can control both chaos and time - He's supposed to pretty much devestate the rest. It would also not fit in with this theme as Shadow is not a sidekick to anyone.

Luigi has also have the new abilities more than mario and tails not so much and luigi have already mastered the negative space technique and Thunder Powers he has more experence than tails that he relys on machines instead of the fighting skills he may have 400 IQ and Luigi 90? Maybe? Tails is not smart as Donatello he can build things more than Tails,Eggman and Wave and that's about it luigi could totally win tails is sonic's annoying sidekick and luigi kinda.

Tails not much fought the scariest enemys when he got careless in sonic x so tails can't freaking survive in the ghostly portal and he relys on machines sonic also don't need anyone's help nether tails machines and luigi has the freaking thunder abilites and time and space abilities luigi should be mechcanical and intellegent instead of being a stupid coward.In SMB3 show he's used to be brave and scare off ghost not being scared but as in right now he is but he saves his brother and in universe.

I believe Tails would win when i saw Luigi being a coward in super smash bros brawl he was a coward... Tails i like him cause he can fly longer then Luigi, super smart, love his name, makes cools inventions ,and i kinda grew up with Sonic the Hedghog series then the Mario... but i also like the Mario series so ppl who are gonna lose there shit on me calm the hell down...
