  • Please, show us some recent pics...

I have a high metabolism too and really want to know what I can expect...

  • Nice !!

  • i used to be 108 last month u should eat lotta eggz n chicken and skip breakfast i went from 108 in tha begning of the month to 125 at tha end

  • I'm 5 foot 9 and 175, I kinda wish I had a little faster metabolism but I'm definitely not fat, also I'm 16 and play football, hoping to gain more weight!

  • Good luck. I'm trying to do the same thing lol

  • Doing well so far mate

  • I know how it is to be a skinny guy with a fast metabolism, it sucked until I learned the tricks. I started working out at 14, 19 now. I was 135 when I started, 1 1/2yr later 175 at 16. When I started I couldn't bench 135 3 times I ended up maxing 245@16 but I messed my back up really bad. I had to stop for 3 years, I'm ready to go again FINALLY! If anyone needs advice, I'm the guy. Fast metabolisms suck,I lost all that a few months time after the injury so skinny guys DON'T GIVE UP! #Experience

  • @aycHndl3 Ive been going to the gym trying to gain muscle. Went for a month going there 3-4 times a week and im not seeing any results. It might be still a short amount of time but i wanna know exercises are good for building muscle so i dont waste my time

  • @aycHndl3 I have that same problem FAST metabolism, reccomenned any weight gainers? or just work out and eat? what did you do?

  • @aycHndl3 please help me then... my metabolism is crazy fast.. im 16 years old.. 5 foot 7 and 103 lbs

  • @pac21989 and that is a decent amount of food everyday. And yeah it's bare minimum but he was saying he was having trouble paying for food. This is a very healthy muscle building diet for a very small amount of money. So add in protein powder some almonds and a variety of fruit or add different types of fish and other meats to add variety.Tack on another 100. Even still 300 a month for 6 healthy meals a day plus lots of healthy snacks for in between and protein shakes for extra protein is not bad.

  • @pac21989 a 5lb bag of frozen chicken breast 10-15$ 1 bag organic brown rice 1$, 1 bag of mixed vegetables 2-3$ a box of oatmeal 1-3$ depending on brand so lets just say it is approximately 20$ if the bag of chicken is 15$. With 5-6oz portions of chicken that's about 15 servings. So 5 portions a day will last for 3 days including a portion of rice and vegetables for each. So add in 2 packs of oatmeal a day. That's 6 meals a day for 3 days for 20$...3 X10 = 30 days or 1 month. So 20$ x 10 = 200$.

  • To be honest, just don't overdo it with food. And take protein shake supplements but DO NOT take too much! You can get kidney failure from too much protein ingestion. And youre lucky, because you're already at a low body fat percentage, so just get a little bit more protein in your diet, work out steadily, change things up once in a while once you hit a plateau, and try your best not to get injured when you work out. I hope you reach your goal, I got the same one going ;D

  • I have a friend who in Highschool was 6'1 125 senior year... When he started college he was determined to gain weight. He did about 3-4 cycles from 18-20 and has lifted clean since. He's 22 now and he's easily 215-230 depending on his eating habbits. Heavier in the winter, cuts down for summer. If you saw his before and after you wouldn't believe it. You just need to stick with a plan. I myself was about 160 6'0 in HS. I've done 2 cycles, not worth it IMHO. Soon 23 and happily 190-200.

  • omg dude 5000 calories a day? Any normal person would get a heart attack in a week from eating that much.

  • @TheAce1082 Thats not how it works, not even close.

  • roids for sure

  • @giewaldpascal sarcastic?

  • EAT!!!!!

    Protien!!

Turkey, eggs, cottage cheese, whey protein powder, oats ext...

  • bro you've encouraged me, honestly. I went from your exact size and i haven't quite reached my goal yet but Im getting there. I appreciate what you've done for yourself and by posting these vids up for others to see. Thanks again. BTW currently at 143lbs getting to 160 is my goal.

  • i know you would get a high metabolic rate, but if the doctors says your really skinny and your fucked, just eat tons of maccas. or some fatty foods, go on a 5 week spend as much as you can $500... so 5 weeks you have $100 a week extra to buy extra food to eat

  • What kinds of food do you eat?

  • HAHA! Bet you he died of anorexia!

  • @ilovemooseskateboard HAHA! how would that be funny? anorexia is a eating disorder, so how would it be funny if someone died from it?

  • Dude i want to know how you are go about doing it...

My body type is also very skinny...

  • @KoBred1 Body building is simple: eat more food. Lifting weights simply means you the weight you DO gain is mainly muscle instead of fat. If you're not gaining weight AT ALL, its due to lack of food, end of story.

Three simple steps: 1. Buy cheep food in bulk and at discount/open markets. 2. Eat enough food so that you are gaining 1-2 pounds a week. 3. Lift weights.

  • @gmainjunior I can gain weight I just have a high metabolism

  • Actually, I too am 16 and weigh 121 lbs and I'm 5'6. How do you do it. I would like more information if you could please and thank you.

  • Honestly, if you want weight, try bike riding and get massive quads.

  • good luck on your goal! work hard and i know you will suceed

  • you probably got worms, go get tested or eat some lime/lemon for the extra acid to kill off bacterias in your system. Then you can gain weight faster. Eating like a maniac and working out afterwards wont do you any good if your infested

  • yeah milk and look into optimum nutrition serious mass, weigh, and casein proteins you can gain serious weight on these shakes alone with the milk

  • i have to stop getting lost on youtube o_O

  • inspirational man thanks

  • HOT :) xo

  • Come chocolatee

  • Haven't given up guys. I've hit a plateau of 140 and haven't been able to get past it due to a lack of money to buy food, which is something that I need A LOT of, and it gets really expensive. Starting next week this will change though, and I'll be getting around 5,000 to 6,000 clas a day. There will be a new video when I get to 150. I want this next vid to be worth the wait.

  • @hexums Ye, people tell me eat a lot and work out, but that's easier when you have the money to spend on the quantity of food or powders required for ectomorph body. It's frustrating when basic thing like being able to afford food is an impediment to reaching a life goal of gaining normal weight that for other body types is easier to reach.

  • @hexums Id like to see a video of you now too please. I have only just started and have a similar build to yours at the begining

  • @hexums you don't need so many calories surely?! The only person that says you need to do that is vince delmonte right?

  • @LionelWitchieWardrob I really do. I only saw substantial gains when I upped the calorie count to 5-6,000 a day. 4,000 and below just didn't cut it.

  • @hexums fair enough, man you seem to be getting great results. Just wondering if you put on a lot of fat eating that much?

  • @hexums yeah i dont seem to build any fat stores, all i do is train hard and i dont even eat that good :L check out my latest vid

  • @LionelWitchieWardrob when working out and trying to buy you need around 5000 calories

  • @hexums

dude in 2 years you should be huge!

  • @hexums buy a big bag of chicken breasts. Some bags of various fish fillets a lot of brown rice and potatoes and various frozen vegetables. Also buy a large stock of dinner size microwavable tupperware containers and a large George Forman grill. 2-3 times a week cook up to 15 of your protein portions a bag of brown rice and steam up a load of vegetables. Put a handful size portion of each into 10-15 tupperware containers and refridgerate. Eat 4-6 a day. Instant, easy, efficient, healthy meals.

  • @blindskater11111 Also buy fruits and nuts(unsalted almonds are best) to snack on. Change up your proteins and vary your seasonings so you don't get bored. This is a very cheap and effective way to make sure your body is getting what it needs. Also because its easier to throw a tupperware container in the microwave for 3 minutes than to get fast food or almost anything for that matter it will help you maintain your clean diet.

  • @blindskater11111 Two bags of oatmeal some fruit and a protein shake(if desired) make the perfect breakfast.High in fiber, complex carbs, vitamins and minerals, and protein. For the rest of the day stick to your pre-made meals. As long as you stick to this for approximately 80% of your diet the other 20% you can eat whatever you want.So if you eat 5 times a day. Once a day you can mow down half a pizza if thats what you really want.I don't recommend half a pizza a day but you get the point.

  • @blindskater11111 This way calories don't ever even have to enter your mind. Just stay away from a lot of sugar.

  • @blindskater11111 And the best part is all that food cost lest than 30-50 a week. Since we are what we eat I don't think 120-200 dollars a month is too much of a compromise.

  • @blindskater11111 120-200 a month? what are you eating. shit 120-200 a week for me and thats barely lasting a full week with buying the cheap stuff...

  • @hexums u taking eny protein/weight gainers?

  • @hexums hurry up

  • Hot hot hot :)

  • take creatine, you'll gain at least 15 pounds in a month, if you know how to workout correctly

  • how did you did that?...

  • try proteins bars

  • wow if this got 200k views i cant imagine what my transformation would get...

  • Lots of whole milk. 2400 calories per gallon, makes a great booster to a balanced diet.

  • haha looks exaytly like me before some weeks..

  • And now to add the muscle :L

  • How old are you? Im almost 16 and would love results like that. I weigh 165 (trying to lose around 10 lbs of fat maybe), 5ft 7

  • If you want to gain weight yet also gain muscle, take whey protien. Eat lots of carbs, and focus on strength workouts over cardio since cardio actually makes you burn fat faster. Also if you're going to do strength workouts, use weights rather than restraining bands, do some kickboxing or kempo karate

  • P90X!!!!!

  • u need pecs thats all

  • @CookieOnMyShoulder no not thats all he needs back biceps triceps abs lats traps u fuck coz he aint got nothing

  • compound workouts are the best for you and make sure you work your legs that was my mistake you stimulate your body to grow more when you work large areas. make sleep a priority if you want results.

  • then the next 3 weeks do 5 sets of 5 reps which will be heavy weight where you will push yourself. then after those three weeks take a week off to recover. nutrition is most important for us skinny guys so make sure you get bout 3500 calories in of good food bout 300 g of carbs 45 g of fat ( quality fats give you testosterone when it metabolizes) 240 g of protein.

  • you may or may not know this already but start off your workouts since your just beginning with 3 sets of 15 for your main body lifts like military press, bench press, squat, deadlifts just so your muscles can adapt to being worked and gain some endurance and do that for bout 3-4 days a week and do it for 3 weeks then increase you weight and do 4 sets of 10 reps and make sure you go to failure in ur final sets.

  • :o you made good progress

  • Also, even if you don't change your diet or anything. You WILL naturally gain weight as you get older when your metabolism goes down. By then you might be worrying about losing weight instead of gaining weight

  • fine

  • Dude come on update please

  • What exercise did you use for your abs?

  • I have gained 18 pounds in 1 month and 1 week. Now at 148 at 5"8.

Obviously some of this is water weight and fat but I can lift 3 times as much now and the weight is starting to show well.

Anyone reading this who thinks they are too thin and will never gain weight. Its all lies, you can do it. I have been very thin since my early teens. Just hit 21 and can't believe I didn't start training sooner. No looking back now.

  • @SuperLightHorse I'm sorry but from what Iv'e learned, shitloads of that would be water and fat, 18 pounds is perhaps what you can achieve in muscle gain your first year (in good conditions, a bit more in perfect conditions, but hey). And tripling the amount of weight you can do over just 1 and 1/4 months sound too good to be true. I approve of your message though, and keep on training mate! ;)

  • Ur not gainin as much as u shud wen i first started workin out i used to b as skinny as u n i used the high motabolism excuse u need to do strict dieting n go hard then in one month u shud make more progress then u did in two

  • There is a book that is called "eat right for your type" check it out! I used to have a problem to gain weight I was always skinny, I gained healthy weight after I tried the diet, that is with no exercise so far, although, you could really transform and shape your body with a good exercise plan.

  • @randombasjh

quit you mean.. quiet-ted lmao the intelligence/education levels in this country are epic.

  • The only difference I see is he is more tan.

  • keep going man ! and keep making new vids !

  • what exactly did you do to put on weight. the muscle comes with a work out plan of course, but I,ve been trying so hard to put on some weight. what helped you the most in your weight gain?

  • Comment removed

  • @maj528 your fucken stupid hes building muscle not getting fat

  • Comment removed

  • heres some advice, dont give up you fucking pussy.

if the gains youve made in this video arent enough motivation for you to continue then nothing will ever be and your clearly not 100% set on what you said you wanted to achieve!

  • 12 lbs in 2 months ... isn't that , kinda 2 MUCH ?

  • How old are you?

  • Yo bro wats ur routine and ur diet

  • drink beer dude, seriously and stick with meat and potatoes and you will put on weight. then you can cut that up, and you'll be going in the right direction. more mass = more muscle to cut.

  • You are still a teenager and probably still growing naturally. Even without exercise I am quite confident that you will breakout of your skinny mould. Very few guys can be considered skinny in their thirties. but carry on and you will probably end up being very muscular. So I doubt you are a true ectomorph.

  • Who cares????

  • so you think that you were skinny ?

i don't know what you going to say if you see me.

  • do you know what exactly you need to do at gym? 2 month and only gain 12 lbs?

My friend 2 month he's gaining 20 lbs and it muscle and fat at same time. But he's looking way better now.

  • no difference. u doing high reps or something

  • how you did it help me ?

  • keep up the good work. im 26 years old. 6'2 and 145-150lbs. i also plan on getting bigger... the nutrition and dieting is that hard part.

  • you look the same just flexing

  • i'm doing the same thing bro... just getting started but ive got lots of motivation...keep it up and post that new video already...it would help me to see someone's improvements!

  • lol, dude, you're EXTREMELY skinny man, sorry 'bout that.

  • If theres anyone here saying dont eat too much or youll get fat..DONT LISTEN TO THEM! Your goal is to make sure your working hard in the gym...and correctly for your level. Personally Id stick to a full body split routine that incorporates all the major compound movements, Squat, Bench, Military, Deadlift, Row..all achived with a barbell...no machines! Dont train longer than 1 hour, make sure your logging your progress with the actual weight and get your protein and calories right, every day! :)

  • please, make a new video with your update ;)

  • i personally like your build i think its hot, but your the one who has to live with how you look so props for taking this upon yourself

  • Don't eat too much or else you'll have fat and muscle, just drink milk and eat chicken breast after each workout and have around a 1,800 Calorie diet. For two months that isn't as much progress as you should have.

  • You gonna post more results or is that it?

  • @richieboy185 There will be a new video once I hit 500 subscribers. I was going to continue the fashion of posting a new video once every few months, but for basically the entire year of 2010 I gave up and went back down to around 115. I started again this year in January and now I'm just under 140. I've been waiting to post a progress video because I want it to reflect the amount of time I've been gone. People would be pissed if it looked like I only gained 20 lbs in 2 years.

  • @hexums You want us to subscribe so you can show your results? Are you for real? It's more like you show results and we subscribe if you're doing a great job.. For real, you really lost my subscribe there. I was going to subscribe after I saw someone with the potential to train and there was also a progress, a goal...

  • @hexums Lol, fuck what anyone else thinks. Keep it up though man!

  • @hexums bro, you have passed 500...what's the deal--post it up

  • He doesn't come here since 20th-September-2009

  • 12 pound in 2 month?? dude, most of that ain't lean mass

  • @poliu007

    your a complete idiot.

  • Hodgetwins bitches

  • train your chest more man i'm skinny 130 pounds on 5ft 91/2 but im not even close to that

  • What did you do for

Weight gain ? I'm in the SAME position as you

  • i dont see any difeerence

  • Yeah, I'd also recommend Scooby1961. He's got something like 150 videos up, and they're all extremely helpful.

  • protein shakes

  • @cokebub3 I know SteroidsR4losers's true identity, check my channel

  • Nice work, not much difference BUT it takes time, I'm 17 and have gone from 11 to 13stone in 1year, and i eat like a starved pig! Pullups really help and short intense workouts. If you feel obliged to do sittups hold a dumbell to your chest. Keep at it!!

  • Lots and lots of protien, chicken fish and turkey are great sources and 3k calories a day is what i would try to stay around. multi vitamins are a good idea too. looking good bro, keep it up...

  • Looking good! Keep up the good work !!

  • how is it fake you turnip...keep working out and eat like a hourse man (y)

  • Work on that chest of yours. Do like 100 pushups a day. ;) Good progress though!

  • 2 month progress? really that sucks i have been going for 5 weeks and i just turned 15 and all you need to do is eat right i dont remember the last time i ever had soda i gained 30 pounds its weird how my body works wtf is up with that? i went from day one 8 pounds now to 30 pounds in my curls work hard you will get there.... btw how the fuck am i gaining so much weight anyone???????? im not on steroids

  • how often do you work out?

  • I saw the title, "Skinny to Muscle" but I didn't saw the muscles, where are they?

  • I really want gain some weight n muscle to how r u doing it

  • Bro how did yu gain that much are yu drinking protien shakes

  • a probably photoshoped photo worts alost more than a video

  • try creatine. you will gain a lot of muscle and water weight (you can get rid of the water whenever you want). Three months on and one month off. Good luck man

  • @ghawk360 hes 17. you need to wait till your 21 before using creatine.

  • good job man looks all natural, no steroids

  • Hey bro! I support you on this. I am also trying to gain weight. So far I am not happy! I am getting fat belly.

  • Just a quick update for those who are wondering whether I gave up or not... I haven't given up, I'm still gaining weight and lifting hard. Right now I weigh just over 135 lbs, and most of the weight gain seems to be in muscle and not fat.

I'm definitely gonna upload a progress vid sometime soon, but I want to make sure there is a big enough difference in appearance so people can really see it as a transformation instead of just gaining a little muscle.

  • Train hard, eat harder! You'll get to that 150 goal bro! Don't ever give up!

  • where's the progress that ur talking about -_-" ?

  • peanut butter is your best friend for hard gainers, i learned that because im a hard gainer too :)

  • @StevenMaks Peanut butter and banana sandwiches are the mass building food!

  • @MrRae101 i dont get it are you trying to prove a point to me? lol i just said peanut butter is your best friend, it is better than bananas :P, but i do know bananas are good too........

  • well worse couldn't get

  • you've got to admit,it isn't easy but if you stick to it,and drink protein juice. but remember to make your weights heavier once you get used to your weights your using now ;)

  • You've acctually got gains really quick, you should be very happy with your progress.

  • to skinny for your age im 15 and 5"10 and 165

  • Great to see so much support on here, it's really refreshing.

GOMAD. Starting Strength - Mark Rippetoe.

Keep it up buddy, I managed to put on 27kg (approx. 60lbs). Some fat before I cut a bit but you'll get there before you know it.

  • @leakeyboy Yeah right now I'm doing a slight variation of SS. Compounds definitely seem to be working better for me than all the isolations I was doing before.

  • Before u work out eat a hard boiled egg and a glass of milk and do the same after you work out

  • good work!! keep pushing

  • make sure you get enough carbohydrates and protein, cut down on your fat intake. if you want to get big fast get on creatine

  • Eat eat eat!

  • Eat a lot of Tuna, Skinless chicken breast and Yogurt. Protien will build you lean muscle. Also, try push ups and crunches to make thicker muscle gains. Good luck with your goals!

  • Just stick to high cal diets and keep on going. Dont overload on protein as its just a waste for you. Cals are what you need; you will know when you have to much protein gains as you will have the shits up the wall & under the toilet in places you couldn't imagine it being. A body will always try to go back to its standard state and for a naturally skinny person, your intestines WILL respond to amounts of food that are too rich and would make you fat by giving you the shits.

  • As a fellow ectomorphic body type, I dont think your doing to bad; Its much harder for us to put on weight and muscle then other body frames after all. I weighed about 109lb a year ago and the gain is just much slower in terms of weight then other because there is less bone for muscles to attach to and many dont understand that. But the up side to that is that you will look ripped way faster then other also because of much less fat which lets face it, that is the reason most of us work out for

  • ur making no progress, just take steroids!

  • continua o mesmo merda

  • work on your chest more man

  • @hellosleinad Yeah I neglected chest for a while when I first started. I've since wised up and now my chest workouts are great and my bench has gone up almost 40 lbs since January. Right now I'm shooting for a goal of adding around 5 more lbs a week to my bench.

  • @hexums good. its not as hard as it seems. when i first started, after like 2 days i increased the load by 10lbs but you will start to slow down to about the amount you said.

try doing a weight thats huge, and you can only do 5 reps. do 5 sets. this will give you the most results.

  • @hellosleinad Yeah I've been doing 3x8 but I'll probably try 5x5 for a week and see if I get better results.

  • Nice results man! You should post another video! it would be interesting to see where you've reached now!

I want to start going to the gym soon too, need to bulk up a bit - as I'm only 132lbs at 5'11. I've already started consuming 3000 calories a day instead of 2000, and started buying lots of tuna and lean meats. Though I have to sacrifice a few nights out now to stay on top with cash.

Any recomendation on what workout I should take? I'm planning doing the 5x5 workout

  • @CJCymru I'm no expert, but i've read that 3x8 is better for mass than 5x5. Look up starting strength, except make sure you add other exercises like pullups, rows, dips, and some curls.
