  • Good advice too for young countries being wooed by financiers.

  • Nimoy has a wonderful voice and the lyrics are true

  • Superb, thanks for uploading this. All though I think women will leave men having sucked the seed of wine....ahhhh sewwt morning seed.

  • @hhansji Thanks, I'm glad that you liked!

What amazes me is that, what I read, Mr. Nimoy not only sings the song, but also composed the lyrics ^__^

  • I could listen this all day!Nimoy is awsome

  • Oh, Kirk, you man-whore.. You tell them, Spock, O Pure One!

  • Must have been.

  • Gracious, what did Bill slip in his wine?

  • @slpsharon mmmhmmm...I guess something really powerful! ^__^

  • Mr. Nimoy has such a lovely voice.

  • this is highly illogical

  • @dossiify indeed, it is! ^_^

  • hahahh! Go you good thing Kirk!

  • @pixiepqueen ^___^ LOL!

  • I really love Spock and Kirk's relationship although it can be interpreted in different ways such as a close friendship, a brotherly relationship, or even a love one. I support all truthfully:) Even McCoy acknowledges that they're close! Thanks for putting this vid up:) Leonard Nimoy's wonderful, deep, sexy voice singing with this wonderful video is most pleasant^^ Oh and if you don't mind me asking, what IS the episode in 0:18-0:20? I vaguely remember it but cannot pinpoint it:) Thanks again!!

  • The scene is from the episode "Tomorrow Is Yesterday", and the more I look the more I wonder how it seems natural the movement of Spock and seems natural the behavior of Kirk as if it was normal and used for the captain to receive this thoughtful attention! Imho bromance I think the proper term!

    Thanks for your kind comment!

  • Thank YOU for this vid:) And yes you're right, it is very natural for the serious, 'emotionless' Vulcan and the lady's man Kirk^^

  • Has Kirk really made out with so many girls?!

Jesus, he has a girlfriend on every planet! There's probably 20 mini Kirks out there!! xD

  • Yes he did! and these are just a few! ...but if many of them were aliens, maybe he was safe... ^_^

  • Let's hope so or we'll be up to our knees in Kirk Jr.s! Thanks again for the video!!! xD

  • *woman on pluto is delivering kirk junior and calls kirk to tell him* RING! *woman hes making out with on mars looks at him* "hello?" *mars woman hears pluto woman and throws the phone at kirk, he turns into incredible hulk and eats mars woman* LMAO i've never ever watched star trek, but that was hilarious! "kirk must be banned to: makeout/impregnate/kiss/fall in love with any more women/girls/aliens on any planet/world/universe"!!

  • @NCISHouseHPPotCfan

If you think about it, the interesting thing is that he's usually making out with someone against his will or as a useful, albeit convenient, part of his battle strategy. (Andrea in "What Are Little Girls Made Of?" - he was trying to screw with her mind, Uhura - against his will, Sylvia in Catspaw - trying to distract her...) I think Edith Keeler was more or less the exception.

  • He's voice is amazing. So passionate and strong. I ♥ this song! This is so true, men are so evil sometimes! And who ever thought I would get good relationship advise from Spock?!

    Protect your wine, gals!

    5/5 Great viedo.

  • I love his voice too...to be fair I love everything of Spock/Nimoy! ^__^

The text of the song seems a bit oldfashioned, but maybe today it's true for both genders!

Thanks for your kind comment!!! ^_^

  • GREAT JOB! Wonderful, LOGICAL lyrics from a very intelligent man that was vocally challenged... nicest way I could put it. He actually sounded (to me) MUCH better when he sang it in the episode a-capella. Perhaps he was younger than when he made this recording. Either way, this gets FIVE STARS!!!

  • Thanks! ^_^

I think the recording is about the same time of the episode.

  • I love Leonard Nimoy! His voice is so cool. :D

  • ...I love Leonard Nimoy! 'wink'

    Thanks for watching!

  • Nice music.

  • ...I adore Nimoy's warm voice!

  • This is so funny on so many levels...Ha!

  • Thanks! :))

  • I love this!! Where in the world did you find that album?

  • ...ehmm...I shouldn't say but...I bought it on ebay (from USA)! and I'm so vicious that I collected all the Nimoy's LPs that I could find, and the worst is that I like them! LOL

  • Good Advice, listen and learn.

  • faszinierend ... xD

  • I agree! xD

  • Thanks so much for posting that. I knew the song from the Star Trek episode and I knew that there was an album version, but I had no idea that Leonard Nimoy wrote the song himself. I'm impressed! (-:

  • Love it.Must have replayed this a dozen times.Nimoy is a god!

  • I agree, Nimoy is very cute!

  • bellissima... and a little sad...

    Good job, my friend!

  • Obrigado! I'm glad you liked it, and ...yes sad just a little bit!

  • hehe... grazie!

  • Whee, thanks for sharing this! The original performance of this song is one of my fav TOS moments, but I've never had the chance to hear this complete album version before. And I like it!

Watching the video, I was reminded of something I read in Shatner's Star Trek Memories a while ago: that the network chiefs decided that open-mouth kisses were out of question on tv. That decision may be partially to blame for Kirk's rather weird style of handling those lovely ladies... ;P

  • I'm very glad that you liked it!

I've read many of LN's poetries, and they are so beautiful, so that I was surprised that he wrote this song: it is so old old old style that I suffer an hypnotic effect and I have to listen to the end and re-listen again and again!!!

About Shatner's memories, do you believe what he said that he was forced against his will to all those kisses? In my opinion he was razzing the interviewer! ..or not? :D :D :D

  • From what I've learned Bill was something of a womanizer himself, but I don't know, he may have had his pride as an actor, too, and this kissing-a-different-girl-every-week isn't the most dignified thing to be known for. But who knows, really - all the stories that guy tells tend to change a lot with each re-telling...

Thanks for adding your vid as a response to my Night Watch! I'm glad that you as a non-slasher enjoy my vids in spite of their slash content!

  • It's me who thanks you Mortmere for making videos like Night Watch,or Spock in love and the other humorous videos! They are so skilful and appropriate to the characters that I laugh every time I watch at them: you are very argute!

And I like very much your music videos too, so cute, thrilling and well edited!

Well all this sugar will bring me into diabetic coma! ;D

p.s.I'm glad you like my non-slash videos...or if a bit slashy they are...HUFF! after all it's unavoidable with those two guys!^_^

  • Hehe, thanks! This must be what they call a mutual admiration society! ;P

  • he would got stiffed 'cause all these kisses!

  • ...and these are hardly a few of his romances...he should be cured! :D

  • great and lovely video; thank you for sharing those pearls!

  • You are welcome my friend! I'm moved...what can I say? It doesn't matter the time or the genre: when a song is beatiful is beautiful forever! :D

  • hubbah, hubbah, hubbah ah!!!!!!!!

  • Kirk is King of the Alien poontang!

  • Llaaseil, always beating me to the video LOL and I second your comments! I love Anna how you started it off with that quote from Spock and end it with Kirk looking very much the grinning playboy while Spock looks on as if such an attitude was foreign to him - very effective!

Also, always felt Kirk could learn a thing from Spock Zarabeth kiss and his others but how much of that is tied up in my feelings for Spock, not Kirk Im not sure. No excuses needed Anna - another fine video :D !

  • AH! "grinning playboy" I like this locution! I take it for my adding info explanation! And yes, that's one of the ideas in this video.

About the kisses...well it depends if you prefer quantity or quality!

Of course Spock/Zarabeth kiss is the very best kiss ever, but Kirk/Elaan is not bad... ;D

Thank you so much for commenting and supporting!

  • I get a kick out of how female wiles are wasted on Spock who doesnt play their game. Realize Ive been a bit harsh on ole Kirk as the romantic. See it hasnt been all grab and push but at 0.28, he actually leaves an imprint on her arm - looks like his own little 'death grip'.

  • This is pretty cool! It appears the way this is put together that Spock disapproves of Kirk's randiness. In the real world, Leonard Nimoy wrote in "I Am Not Spock," and I quote "I was never able to lie to a girl in order to achieve a desired goal or effect. (pg.41)" Thus, the true, real person of Leonard Nimoy echoes his fictional counterpart of Spock as respecting the female and not being a womanizer as was both the fictional Captain Kirk and very real William Shatner. Women respect yourselves!

  • Thank you so much for you kind comment! Yes, Spock shows much respect for women, apart from the romulan commander... ;D

The intention of this video was ambivalent and showing the difference between Kirk and Spock in their approach to women was one of the "meanings". I read Nimoy's books and I remember that quote and I appreciate it.

But what about Shatner? I didn't know he was a womanizer, in an interview he said that he didn't like that role but he had to acquiesce!
