me and my friend always dig up rollie pollies. . . . AND EAT THEM!!! jk! we keep them for a day er 2! then we let them go! I think rollie pollies are kinda cute!
lol I've always called them rolly pollies. but I've also heard potato bug though. Never thought they really looked that much like potatoes lol. These are always in my house during the summer and fall. I never kill them though. They're harmless and I think they're kinda cute :P
wow ive seen bigger when we first moved into this house we went neer the tree we found around 1,000 and it was the nest so we dug deeper and found a graveyard if i would call it not only finding dead pill bugs but a dead spider it was to pale to figure out what it was.Remarkeble no?
it looks just like the genital crabs my friend FATTY got from having unprotected anal sex with a southamerican native. any sugestions for him to get reed of them, please go to his account in youtube TALK47, he is desperate to save his balls from being eaten by this voraceous things!!!
If you want to keep one as a pet, remember to provide them with water at all times. They have gills in their legs. Apparently they eat decaying plant matter.
They don't need water in the environment. It's better to have damp soil. Wet soil or a wet environment in general will kill them as easily as a very dry environment. They have gills AND lungs. It has to be an intermediate environment. They are pretty easy to feed. Often they'll eat microscopic bacteria and fungus in the soil, and you can grab some dead leaves because they'll eat them too.
And give them some hiding spots. Find some dead wood or rocks. They love hiding.
Aw man they're cute! They keep wandering into the grocery store I work at so I pick them up and dump them outside so cowardly shoppers won't freak out and squish the harmless critters..
I do the same thing cause whenever I walk around I see a lot on their back I also turn them over and put them somewhere safe because everyone I know HATES the pill bugs but I like them.
@W2daERN i know ppl always say they are different stuff!also ppl say the flat bugs that resemble rollies are pill bugs but they are just closely related and the flat ones cant even roll up!
wow o-o ive always known them as potato bugs since my mom showed me one when i was lil, i guess its cuz the back of a actual potato bug looks like one o-0
lol, thoes aren't potato bugs. potato bugs are much bigger, and they're insects. The pill bug, or rolly polly, whatver you want to call them is a beatle.
Potato bugs are frigging scary. I found one at work once. It was half dead, so I scooped it into a Dixie cup and squished it in a pneumatic vise @ 250psi and boy did it pop!
This video reminds me of the SCHLOR PILLBUG 1937 car ; all car should have that shape and fuel consumption will be VERY LOW INDEED!

Yeah, but everyone here (California) calls them potato bugs. I guess that's because most of us have never been around potatoes.
jm2trash 4 years ago
I lived in Cali for ten years, I hear people call them different things everywhere.
