  • The shoes might be too large and perhaps too "dead," but you sure have lovely arches and good technique. I agree that you need to be better fit, but meanwhile, keep up the great work!

  • cycles..lots!!

  • buuuuuuuuuuu

  • It's okay, love. : ) Just buy new pointe shoes that are more snug and go to a different fitter. Since you're new to pointe, you're doing great! With newer, better pointe shoes you'll be on your way again! Good luck, love! Dancers Unite <3

  • if your fitter fit them too big why didn't you have her change your pair?

  • why are you dancing in dead pointe shoes?

  • You have beautiful arches <3

  • you are very very good!

  • You did amazing! but those are NOT the right shoes for u!! great arch!!

  • @Princesspointeballet why would you say that? dead pointe shoes are really bendable yes, but they are too soft and broken down to dance in anymore. you can seriously hurt your feet or ankles from dancing in them

  • i think there called dead point shoes for a reason, you should be dancing in them as you could cause damage to your feet.

    sorry x

  • DO ALL POITE SHOES LOOK LIKE THAT (BIG IN THE FRONT )

  • cara..essa sapatilha e esses pés são muito feios.

  • cara..essa sapatilha e esses pés são muito feios

  • give her a break, she already knew they were to big, i dont think she needs to keep being told. the perfect pointe shoe is hard to find.

  • whoahoa those r dead!

  • Yep, you definetly need to get some new pointe shoes. You are arching over the front of your shoes, and that is not good.

  • No offense but those shoes look horrible on you :s, its like you have at the top a super pretty fit, and then HOLY BEGISUS YOUR FOOTS SWOLLEN! haha no offence though, hope youve got better shoes now (:

  • ewwww.. haha! jk yur technique is awesome ;D

  • They're so dead :O You really should have new pair! :>

  • YUCKKKKK

  • Ewwww so dead lol

  • ugh!......... they r REALLY DEAD!!! lol!

  • If you just got on pointe you should NOT be dancing in dead shoes, for your own safety. They're not giving you any support!

  • no affence but those are really yuck;

  • your box is HUUUGGGEEEEE!!!

  • yep..they're dead

  • wow

  • eww u neeed to get rid of those because they r making ur feet sycle

  • hahah, i thought i was the only one who worked my feet way to hard on the right, but you do to! It makes wearing point shoes really annoying cuz the right shoe always feels way to soft.

  • wow they are dead but they look too big for your feet and seem like they are broken in at the wrong places. but overall you are really good.

  • The part where the toes are looks way to big for your feet...

  • theyre broken in way too low.

they should be broken in just under the heel to make a little shelf of support.

  • very dead lol

  • they look broken at the wrong part of the pointe shoe

  • yuck. those shoes do not fit you at all! i really hope you have gotten a new pair!

  • In my experience, don't trust the fitter all the time. Trust an experienced dance teacher and yourself because you need to make sure your feet are as comfortable as can be! Otherwise it feels like hell...:P

  • your feet are really awesome but you need a smaller box and shoe size over all if you wear your shoes out quickly you might want to get a tougher shank

  • those are very dead lol

    good work though :)

  • You need a narrow-er box and smaller shoe overall. Nice feet, though.

  • hehe they are dead aren't they! Are they powdering yet?

  • I know how you feel. My second pair the fitter screwed up, on the SMALL side. Then the third time they were FARRRR to big. Keep dancing!

  • Ugly Pointes

    Good Arches :]

  • Hey to all the people saying how they look ugly and how she is not good just keep your opinions to yourself!! Wheres your videos?? I bet you aint even half as good!!!

  • @MessyLauz

    i agree with you!

  • @MessyLauz Agreed

  • @MessyLauz actually i've been dancing for 8 years and the only reason i comment on these videos is to keep someone from getting hurt

  • @ChildofGod318 Yea but in all fairness if shes able to do this in dead shoes she obviously knows what shes doin.

  • @MessyLauz well if you look at the description box she says she is new to pointe. No one should dance in dead shoes, even in fun, even if you're a professional it doesn't matter. You risk the well being and the muscle strength in your ankles whenever you go up on dead shoes......but hey it's her personal choice not mine.

  • your dance teacher should check them and if your pointe shoes are too big its not good besides they seem dead get new ones

  • OMG ur feet r freakishly good!!!!!!!:-)

  • I can take my old point shoes and bend them completely in half. It looks sooooo weird!

  • me too!! :)

  • i kinow they are broke, but look how gorgous your arch is!!

  • its alright the fitters ALWAYS screw up my size for like all my dance shoes lol x

  • those r ugly pointes :(

  • those are SCARY lol

  • omg my ballet teacher

wen we have dead shos we buy new ones, break em in, then she makes us dance on our dead shoes till we have a performance

    !!!

    ouch !!!!

but it makes us stronger so i dont care!

  • thats a very good idea but it makes you stronger in the wrong places! and it can hurt your feet later in life

  • i like your feet...really!

  • dont use thoess shows anymore

  • What kind do u have? The ones I have are Capezio. :D

  • go on anaheim ballet pointe shoes tying

    & tips

and anaheim ballet: tricks of the trade.

  • please get our feet out of those shoes they are WELL DEAD

  • they broke WAAAAY to low

  • you need new pointe shoes! soon! these are really bad for your feet!

  • love your feet!

  • your slicing you feet to much you need new shoes which are pretty obvious alright other that that you should be fine

  • Although they are dead, you have lovely feet.

  • outch. theyre gonna fall apart really soon. u need new ones. i always get new shoes in september so that i can break them in by competition season

  • Ugh I just got new pointe shoes and they KILLLL!!!! I wish mine were dead so badly.

  • Me too!!!! What kind do you wear?

  • what shoes are those?

  • wow they r really done!! DEAD im glad you said they are dead cuzz there would be some comments on them...

  • you should stretch your arches out a little more. and dont forget to go over you big toe, not the little one! but your shoes are dead.

  • very dead

  • Unless you want to slip and fall it's not a good idea to dance on a shiny floor like that...trust me. Been there.

  • Please before you cripple your self get some new shoes from a trained fitter - you'll regret it in the furture if you dont !

  • ahhhhh!!!!!! are you trying to ruin your feet??? lol get new shoes hun...unless your feet are strong enough to support you in a dead shoe, dont dance in dead pointe shoes!

  • 1. sitzen die Schuhe viel zu locker

    2. ist dein Spann viel zu flach

    3. machst du alles falsch

Und glaub mir ich kann das behaupten! Ich tanz Ballett seit Jahren provesionell!

  • English please

  • 1. sit the shoes much too loosely

    2. is yours stretch much too flat

    3. you make everything false

And believe me I can that maintain! I dance ballet for years provesionell!

i think.. not all of that^^ is right. haha.

  • haha thanks.

  • no offense, but your feet look really bad in those shoes. if they held your feet up a little more, your would have a nice foot, maybe.

  • well she said there dead

  • the shoes u are wearing are a good example of a "dead" shank.

  • no offence to anyone but pointe shoes make ur feet look really big a long lol

  • cool?

  • it don't look so good when it is dead :p

  • Are those Capizio? I think Capizio are really good for new pointe dancers. I just got off my 4 pair of Capizio now I'm going for Freeds!

  • I'm starting Ballet for the first time once I get my shoes...they're Scarlet Red sanshas they're beautiful and I can not wait till I try them on. I think Ballet Shoes are better because I know how to go on my toes in my Hiphop shoes and its not painful...But now going in pointe and doing that over..and over...and over I'm going to get 'Bloody mary' Blisters...:'O

  • haha! You're cute! I love your personality and your opinion!

  • hmmm. XD Everybody loves me even if I am a little cute wack job LOL Talk to you later....XD Little cute wackjob, Thats me!

  • i need to start ballet! seriously!! lol. since i was 6 years old ive longed to be en pointe, but i quit after 1 1/2 years training. and now i would love to begin again. but im having an awfull lot of trouble convincing my parents that ballet is not a total waste of time, and that you CAN do it as a hobbie and not go pro if you want to. i think after 6-7 years of dancing in my room, and dreaming of become a ballerina, its about time i got to do what ive always wanted to do. (tear in my eye) x x

  • Go for it!

  • wow its kinda amazing how every1 keeps saying there 2 big 4 u wen ypu've already said in the info box that there to big!

  • if my fitter fitted my pointes like that i would have thrown them back in her face, lol....buy some new'ns they do ya a world of gd. =)

  • if u really like it you should do it. i secretly loved ballet since i was a kid but only had money to take classes when i was 16. i have to work twice as hard as the other girls in my class that are way younger than me (i'm 20 now)but i'm happier than ever!

    i'ts never too late!

  • i think your box is a little too big (:

    hyperballerina(:

  • im srry ut those make ur feet look relaly ugly. you broke them in really low. try lifting out of your shoes and breaking them in more near the heel for support

  • Woah, I though mine were bad.

  • god i need to get new point shoes like every month they get dead s fast

  • ur doing a gud job...but it looks like you are rocking back on your pinky tones a little. be careful

  • you are good but the movie is very short do another one

  • xoangie03 does absolutely nothing but bitch about other people's dancing. And I mean, since she's uber ossum dancr supastar, she'd know it's 'en pointe' and not 'on pointe'

  • i do know its EN pointe. i just say "on" because whenever i write "en" people are like whattt?? cause they don't know.

i do not "bitch" as you call it, i simply tell the truth from a professional perspective.

  • Those shoes are VERY dead x

  • Ladies...really! I'm sure you are both awesome dancers with great dedication to the art. Always remember that there will always be someone worse than you as well as better.

  • I know,

    I have a bad temper.

  • sorry bla3inricanmami, but talent is just not enough, no matter how much of it you have.

i have known people who have no talent but have worked every day and have been amazing dancers.

but don't listen to me, just find out yourself one day when your trying to get an audition.

what im sure of is two things-

if your going to be good you NEED the everyday classes and the determination.

  • who cares if u take a billion classes a week.....if u have talent ur'll make it....like my self.

(im so tird of pple braggin about how many years they have of dance experience)

  • sorry bla3inricanmami, but talent is just not enough, no matter how much of it you have.

i have known people who have no talent but have worked every day and have been amazing dancers.

  • you are turing over a little i have been dancen 4 about 11 years and i am 12

  • oh please you did not dance when you were one! ugh and if you did thats ridiculous

    not impressive

  • yeah, you danced when you were one, that's a good one.

  • ok people your all REALLY sad...

i currently take 11 ballet classes a week. roughly two a day. and i do pointe for 7 of them. and thats just ballet. i also take modern 5 classes a week and jazz once a week.

    why?

because thats what it takes to have a chance in the dance world.

  • liar,

You're really sad to lie like that.

  • i do take 11 ballet classes a week, and more than half of those on pointe, 5 modern classes and 1 jazz class a week. and 7 rehersals a week for various concerts. i don't go to public school. i HOME SCHOOL and go to a private dance academy called the Dancing Arts Academy. Look it up. what's sad is people thinking they are good when they take 1-4 classes a week. and your sad for assuming i am a liar. obviously you have no expirence with professional dancing. but thats not my problem, it's yours.

  • WOW!!! THAT IS SO AWESOME!!!! ALL THOSE CLASSES!! i am 11, and I take two classes a week! two hours on tuesday whitch is hip hop (Christian dance) and modern and tap (Christian) and thursday ballet for an hour. (Christian) all at the same studio. our recital is tomorrow. i am nervous. but the day after we are dancing at wachovia and then going ice skating and then to a Christmas party!

  • i feel sorry for you and people like you, but again, I'm just happy I found an execellent dance school with professional teachers and professional expectations. I WILL have the chance to be professional myself, unlike all of those american wannabee dancers who don't know a thing about artistry and technique.

  • yeah, you're sorry for me?

I'm ten, and guess how many shows we have in our touring company a week?

    three.

So I'm not pathetic, And I have great technique, so shut the hell up.

  • i wouldnt really know how good you are. i dont know what school you go to and ive never met you. i was just assuming because you didn't believe me before, but i'm sure now you do. unless your still in denial. but really, my school has a website and everything so if you don't believe me...

and your point about the touring company....? three isn't a lot at all.

  • uhm im srry but thats a really mean comment. there are many amazing ballet compaies in america ABT, NYCB, San Fran, Boston. Many small studios also are very good. thats great that you found a great place in the dance world but not all of us are as fortunate as you ya know.

  • i KNOW there are good dance companies in america. i NEVER said there weren't.

schools on the other hand are not.

a LOT of schools in america dont teach any kind of technique, have studenets who take one class a week, and preform some recital in a high school once a year. that is NOT what the dance world is like, and students who go there dont know anything.

and yes, i know people arent as fourtunate as me but i WORK for everything i have. i work for technique, artistry, and tuition money.

  • hey when your are getting fitted make sure you have asked your teacher before hand what she recommends that way when you get fitted the personnel wil have a better perspective of what to get you. don't tell the fitter a specific brand because there's only one shoe that's good for your foot also give them feed back while in your pointe shoes your toes shouldn't have room but they should not scrunch up either good luck!!!!!

  • So thats what dead pointe shoes look like.

  • oooh those are pretty bad :(

  • people en pointe -

how many dance classes do you have a week and how long have you been dancing ??? until you got en pointe ?????????

  • I've only been doing ballet for a year, two classes a week and have only been en pointe for a week lol.Hope this helps x

  • ah thank you!

i only do ballet once a week and ivve only been doing for about half a year lol it will probs take me forever to get on pointe!

  • Nah don't worry i thought it would take me ages too but as long as you keep working hard out of the studio as well as in, then you'll get there quicker than you think :D xx

  • thank you! (:

  • omfg. EXACT same thing for meee

how old are you? im 13

  • Hi! =] I take 4 days a week of ballet and 3 days of pointe; usually 30 min-1 hour of pointe.

I am currently 12, I have been dancing for 9 years. I started pointe a month before I turned 10.

    ♥, Amber =]

  • I have been doing ballet since I was three, I am 13 now, and I dance 7 days a week. ;)Actually, 4 out of 7 days I am dancing multiple times in the same day (as in the morning, afternoon and evening).

  • ye, too be honest, secretly i love ballet. now days, in my school its considered weird to like 'that' kind of stuff. i did it when i was 5-7 years old. im now 13 too... and have always admired the dance styles of classical ballet. its way too late to start again... i had to quit due to me getting ill with ear infections when i was younger couldn't go back after a year of them on and off! (being ill)... have regreted it ever since!!! wish i could go back. x chloe x :(

  • You really should go back to ballet classes it's never to late to take it up and get really good! I started Ballet when I was 14 and I've taken my Intermediate foundation ballet exam no problem and now I'm dancing en pointe, it took me a while to catch up but I managed it! It's never too late.

    xoxox

  • no affence but the box on those shoes ar MASSIVE!

  • those shoes looked 51486454897456 sizes too big..

  • ok who ever said good job you guys must not be real dancers because this was definatly not good, dacning in dead pointe sheos is bad and the foot was like going out of the box like siciling! I think if you tried a new shoe like freed or something it would fit better and make the pointe look much cleaner

  • good job, especially for dead shoes! My griskos look like that! So I guess they are dead. I'm going to get new ones tomorrow! Ciao!

  • A good way to tell if shoes are too big is to put a foot en pointe and then pinch the satin at the back of the heel. If you get a huge amount, the shoes are too big. If you get a little squeaky amount, they are too small. Neither is good, but too small is better because the shoes will stretch SLIGHTLY...

Experiment! I cannot count how mnay pairs of pointe shoes I have had that didn't work before I found ones that did.

    Those are Chacotts, right?

  • my pointe shoes died this week, and i have to get new ones, my current (and dead) ones are grishko's 2007's. does anyone have a favorite brand i should try?

  • i don't know if these will work for you but i LOVE Bloch Serenades.

  • Yeah!, Go bloch serenades!

  • yOur teacher should have made you get the right size instead of letting you dance in too big pointe shoes/

  • you sink in your shoes and thats not good for your ankles

    just trying to help

a way to make you stop is to hold your ass

  • yeah very dead and look kinda big but ur really good and have a wonderful arch!!

  • MOLTO BRAVA ! ANCHE SE LE SCARPE NN SN OK

  • u can tell tht them are dead..

  • Wow... And I thought MY shoes were dead!

  • whooaa. your toes are wayy to big for your heel its scary.

    =[

  • wht kind of point shoes are those?

  • Whoa! Those are so dead. It's scary...

  • why are you dancing on dead pointes?

im actually wandering its not a critisism lol:L

  • just to show us..nothing extreme!

  • i know i was just wandering lol x

  • Those shoes are huge! but your pretty good!

  • you're really amazing! just next time you get fitted, don't be afraid to tell them the truth!!! ur better safe than sorry! i've been on pointe for 4 yrs. and trust me, i've learned the hard way!

    with luv,kristi

  • dude those ARE dead. u werent kiddin ha.

  • dude i would kill for an arch like yours!!!

  • your feet bend at your toe joints, and to make them bend more around the instep area or improve your instep..try getting a higher vamp and a low cut heel that way it pushes over on your instep instead of your toe joints..hope that helps

  • pull out of your shoes itl make you feet look and feel a lot better!your also pushing into the vamp of your shoes to much i used to do this and i found myself not being able to walk properly.

    your good tho!

  • People who wear out their pointe shoes quickly have strong feet and arches. That's why they become so mailable. One of my dance teachers always said pull out of your feet. Make it feel like your feet are straight don't let them sink into the ground. She said she uses dead shoes for weeks.

  • omg dead or wot?

  • those don't look good on you!

  • wow! Your broken shoes look a million times better than mine :P.

  • pull out of ur shoes, dont put all ur weight on ur pinky toe! u scare me, every second it looks like u are gonna fall! be carefull! get smaller shoes. nice arches tho...
