Just know the commitment you are making. They are rather hard to keep, as is any puppy. They will whine, cry, and constantly seek out your attention, even several times at night. You have to feed it, potty train it, clean its shit, train it, and socialize it.

Puppies can't hold their pee for long so you have to constantly keep on eye on it so you can potty train it. They also hate to be lonely.

And realize that your going to have that dog for possibly the next 15 years.

i've been watching my puppy all day and he plays around just like this we got him yesterday, he's a german shepherd/husky mix sadly he's not a full german shepherd but the only thing that makes him look husky is his tail and his hair has some greyish white in it

lol, my german shepherd is 4 years old now. German shepherds are awesome and I always feel so tough when I walk my doggie. And he's just hilarious to play with. He has an odd fur-pattern. Like a blonde arrow on his black back O__o. He's big fluffy, I trust him and I love him <3. Argh, I wish he were a little pup again for just one day. All the other days he just has to be big, awesome and tough.

I love the pups...

My German Shepherd (Cheyenne) is 9 wks old, and her ears are already standing up, with no flop to them. She's mostly black with orange/tan eye brows and some tan on the legs. I'm glad I chose her out of the four females that were there, because she's training very well and is so obedient. In 4 days, she's had only 2 messes in the house.

Nobody can go wrong owning a German Shepherd... just don't expect them to train themselves.

@4RIPO That's not a good reason to get a dog... they are a huge commitment and German Shepherds like pit bulls require a strong authoritative figure who can take the alpha role and keep it. I had a Shep/Greyhound mix and there were many times when she tried to become alpha over the humans in the family. Female Sheps are particularly territorial as well. you should do your research before getting any animal or it may end up in a bad place. I am not meaning to lecture, sorry if it seemed so.

I mean what if all 3 saw a squirrel or a cat or something and took off running across the street just as a car came by?
