No, the movie is about three very different women that end up getting in trouble together and becoming best friends. The ending is sad, but it's a great movie

@willfucker nope. one of the characters happened to be a lesbian, but it had nothing necessarily to do with the storyline or the dynamics. The three main characters were best friends, and practically sisters. Awesome, lovely movie, and song.

Looks like Melissa Etheridge at 1.57-1.59 playing guitar and backing vocals, be great to know for sure. She did write and sing a song for the film "I take you with me".
