  • I wish I could play the fiddle

  • Its a difficult instrument to make sound good..but go for it!

  • Very good lesson, much better than some hotshot fiddlers on here than think if they get a close-up of them playing a fast tune, that makes it a lesson( or workshop). Lessons need to be slowed down and spelled out. Thanks.

  • thanks for the new tune- great video , hope you post some more

  • I'd call this "Modern Bluegrass". Check out my band's version of "Come On Day" (at my youtube page) for some great traditional country music.

  • I've tried to post a few times about the on-line text and workshop, but it doesn't seem to work if I try to include a web address? Anyway, go to the Longway website and look on the workshop page. There are MP3s to play along with of this tune. Find the site at longway dot co dot uk

  • Very similar to some versions of Cherokee Shuffle. But it's based on Vasaar Clement's playing of Pig in a Pen on the Old & in the Way album. Jim.

  • that was Cherokee Shuffle.

  • so impressive. wish i could do that!

  • That was brilliant. Thanks for the demonstration which is very helpful for people who don't read the notes. Sliding way up there is tricky, but you made it look easy. A real catchy tune. Thanks.

  • Hey thanks Jim, I love the format;fast, med @ slow. What is the name of the song?

  • Need all the help I can get...thanks!

  • Great workshop Jim, thanks for putting so much thought and effort into it. Hope this is the first workshop video of many more to come ;-)
