Xion was just another one of Vexens puppets. He was killed early however.

She isn't a nobody at all... just a construct meant to absorb the memories of others.

Xion has nothing to do with Kairi other than her design being crafted from Sora's memories of Kairi.

I cant help but feel that Xion was a filler character. If and only if she is relevant to the plot in some way in later KH games then she is not a filler character. I like Xion as a character and I hope she wasn't developed just for 358/2.

I haven't got the game yet but when i got a bit too impatient to play it i looked up some scenes and saw her death scene. The only part when I cried was when Roxas cried! God i love him!
