I know an idiot who bought a home last year. So far it's dropped about $100,000. With the new bailout and stimulus he predicts the dollar will drop even more, causing his property another $100,000 by 2011.

Now, buying in 2012 would be a different story. Then you might actual be leaving your family something other than debt. Kind of like that real estate guru in florida who had a TV show and now has lost 32 million in less than 3 years.

hopefully people don't just go with gut instincts on the most important purchase of their lives.
