@blakespana I do exact the same thing, first make a joke about it, or put it in you're ear, so they are like WTF. Than the real story (when I was 4, a girl said there was a football in a Manhole on the street, so I went to took it out and at that moment she put the manhole cover down on my finger) you're video is just perfect for people who have trouble with it.
@blakespana i meant you're lucky it's your left hand, I got it on my right hand (good hand for writing and stuff) and sometimes (after 15 years) it's hard when someone is looking at it but don't ask. you have to explain it every time, I don't tell someone who doesn't have to know it, do you? when someone just see it, I will explain but it isn't necessary. how can you see it as a positive thing?
@TheFcu030 I dont think either hand is worse but different. Most people tend not to notice my hand and when they do and ask i normally start out with a joke story of how i lost in the white waters of Alaska to a shark which helps lighten the mood a bit. Then i tell them the real story just shortened version. I see it as a positive because it it has allowed me opportunity to share my story with other people that are having a hard time, and to help them know that anything is possible.
It was a pain at first but i can do everything that i wanted to do with full fingers now. If i have hard time with something i just work at it and it happens. Thats how life is sometimes when it gets hard you just got to keep at it and not give up and eventually everything will work out.
Im missing my right index finger and i'm still playing guitar! Just be cool with it, and bring it as a joke or something. Youre lucky its your right hand, giving someone a hand when you meet sucks sometimes.
@TheFcu030 Its my left hand actually. I never use it as negative only more positive thing. This video was just suppose to be inspirational to others who might have missing fingers and are in need of help, because when i first did it i wasn't sure if i would ever be able to play again. This just video saying how you can do what ever you want no matter the challenges against you.
Toni Iomi from Black Sabbath got his fingers ripped off, and I can still play man, don't let it get you down man. I'm 34, it happened when I'm 31. Let it ride man.... Let it ride.
