As you can see, we are NOT back to Cold War levels, at worst were at 1993, just as we were in the middle of drastically cutting back on the military size and infrastructure by over 1/3.
At the tail end, you can even see military spending evening out, and in charts that include data for 2012, you see it goes down.
No our military spending isn't as large of a percent of our GDP as it was in the cold war, but it's still huge. We still spend more than any other country on the planet. Way more.

You seem to be confusing budget and national debt. I was talking about how wars increase our national debt. A balanced budget just means we aren't spending more than we're making. I could triple my personal debt today and have a balanced budget as long as I kept up minimum payments.

The truth is, military spending would NOT even be an issue, if it weren't for welfare spending, just as it wasn't an issue during the Cold War, when it was a far larger component of our overall budget.

You seem to be confusing budget and national debt. I was talking about how wars increase our national debt. A balanced budget just means we aren't spending more than we're making. I could triple my personal debt today and have a balanced budget as long as I kept up minimum payments.

They submit their studies to OTHER organizations for peer review, both within America, and in foreign countries, and to organizations that are International, like Engineers Without Borders.
It's called TRANSPARENCY, they practiced it, but AE9/11 has not. They do not take their findings to other organizations for review, they just put it into books, and sell it to the masses, who don't know engineering.

If it's coming from THE authority on Civil Engineering, peer reviewed by other in industry, and you have NO evidence to counter them... Uh, yes, yes I can, Just like I would 100% trust a diagnosis from a Doctor, unless another Doctor of equal standing gave me a second opinion.

Further, the reason Doctors KNOW what's in the a drug, is because of the F*CKING FDA.
