  • Wow!!! Never heard this song before but that sounds really really good. Great job my man!!

  • Nicely done... any Joplin is challenging at the very least. To the "piano pains" out there... it always pays to remember that opinions are like buttocks... everyone's got one and they all stink but your own. Personally, I'd like to see you lug a grand piano around and pick up women so I could bust a nut or two laughing. Which is the superior instrument? Whichever instrument you prefer listening to. I can sit and listen to folks like Tommy Emmanuel and Doyle Dykes, etc., play for hours. Piano?NO

  • 7 points out of 10! I didn't like the basses... BUT it's a very good idea playing Joplin on guitar. Anyway... good job!!!

  • Really really enjoyed this. I used to play in a little school ensemble and this was one of the tunes we played. I only played guitar chords for it, but that was hard enough! You've inspired me to try and get close to this level. Thanks for your post.

  • FINALLY someone not doing same old entertainer and maple leaf just wish it was on piano

  • ha, ha - what should I reply - I don't play piano....

  • You obviously dont realize the guitar is a MUCH more versatale instrumental than the piano. Done right they can sound just as good or better. Open your mind and dont be ignorant

  • Range of the guitar: 3.5 octaves

Range of the piano: 7.25 octaves

Maximum simultaneous notes on guitar: 6

Maximum simultaneous notes on piano: 10+

    Natural sustain on guitar: weak

Natural sustain on piano: very strong, especially with pedal

Maximum volume on guitar: much less than piano

    Repertoire for piano: ENORMOUS

Repertoire for guitar: some excellent pieces but doesn't even touch piano repertoire's heels.

Don't get me wrong i LOVE the guitar but the piano is just a superior instrument.

  • i love this song

  • Boy do you keep picking these very difficult transcriptions!!

    Great playing my friend.

You are inspiring me to have another bash at some ragtime.

    Regards,

    Paul

  • especially this transcription here is really not too difficult because it suits very well for guitar. By playing it you understand how Scott Joplin tried to imitate guitar on piano.
