I think every country appreciate them where they go. This is not a problem. The problem is that every country appreciates them differently. Though that's not a huge problem either since even if touring is tiring and people from Europe and America are louder I read they had enjoyed the concerts...
I got scared when he dropped the mic and dropped dropped down at shinya's set. Was it the song, or was he just tired? (He looked AND sounded exhausted [at first]) I've never seen him do something like that before so it was kinda like watching a flying saucer pass by. I was kinda just like O_O... "wasa goin on!?" But then he came back and owned it so... was that just him doing the usual, pushing pass his limits? Idk, something tells me he went straight to sleep after this.
@Vom Well I guess to sort of help him/ cheer him up. Well SOME I'm sure for that reason. Perhaps others because they were "enjoying the show" and "wanted more". :U
my respect to the people who tried to shh the others.
I always wonder why people scream when he does amazing stuff - they scream so loud that you can't even hear Kyo's performance anymore, so what are they screaming for?
Totally amazing and so incredibly raw. I love how Kyo puts his entire heart and soul out during performances. Really resonates in your chest cavity. I get goosebumps every time he sings without the mic during lives. <3 So awesome! I hope they come back soon~
I wish this was on the DVD rather than the Japan show, this was epic. I miss this show.. thank god they're coming back for 3 days, who knows maybe If you go I'll crowd surf over you again during Conceived Sorrow? xD
They shouldn't stay in Japan just because of a few (okay a lot) of ignorant fans. There are ... a few people here (in the US) that really appreciate their music, and it wouldn't be fair.
>_>;
I know the majority of us are rude, but... they're appreciated everywhere.
I've never seen someone with such a commanding stage presence. The crowd started like trying harder when he stopped and almost melted when he started his mic-less solo.
If you see 'The Rose Trims Again' you'll notice that at all the points he wasn't singing here, he changed the words to there.
I'm almost positive that the reason he stopped singing is that American's usually sing out the words too, maybe he was sick of people singing the words he wanted to change, so he stopped the singing all together.
I highly doubt that, if anything he's most likely incredibly happy that foreign audiences know the words, i've been to numerous of their shows in America and he's generally really happy looking or has a giant goofy smile spread across his face when he cuts out mid song, signals for the fans to pick it up, and they actually CAN sing it back and know their lyrics. He stops mid song all the damn time, esp. the emotional songs like this. Who knows though.
dude i was singing so loud i can hear me on the vid.. barely.. but i'm the on doing the harmony to the chorus when he drops out.. cept some out of tune person began to sing and drowned the rest of us out -_- but oh well.. lolz..
yeah.. poor out of tune ppl think they can sing.. i used to think i could sing once too.. then i got voice lessons and realized i sucked and needed work XD but anywayz... great recording!! i was really close to u.. off to ur right.. in front of kyo..lolz
I was there too. On the rail, right by Die. And to be honest, I think Kyo enjoyed this concert thoroughly. He even screamed 'New York' at us at one point. During this performance, he dropped down, and then he heard the chorus sung by everyone, and I think he was sort of happy that we gave that kind of effort, and gave him just as much energy back. I was at the signing too, and I thanked him - and he smiled so wide it was ridiculous...
He didn't do that at our show, though. I mean, he dropped the mic, but he didn't go and sit in front of the drum kit all hunched and whatnot. And I know he's been sick lately... I dunno. Were you there? Did you get a good look?
Yeah I heard that he was a little sick too, but that could totally just be a false rumor...so I'm not sure if I'm gonna believe it. But yeah Kyo performs differently every night, it looks to me like it was an emotional thing and he needed to like recollect himself or something, but I dunno, could be completely wrong. Nah, I'm going to the LA show this Saturday 9(YEAAAAH SO DAMN EXCITED). I'll let you know how that goes.
Plus compared to a bunch of the other youtube videos of the tour, this performance of Conceived Sorrow looks the most emotional/energetic of all of them. So that kinda goes along with my theory haha. PEACE OUT.
ha. damn, love how he just drops the mic in the middle. and then doesn't even use the mic to scream!!! kyo is amazing! Diru will forever and always be my favorite band! favoriting.

So what's the matter?

So many people screamed at the top of their voice, yet Kyo's voice is still so clear and above them and can be heard throughout the hall. :D
cooljazz1997 5 months ago
Now... this is.. beautiful. I'm crying while looking at his face from 3:08... I like songs that are like tearing your heart into several pieces.
I truly hope that Kyo can reduce his sorrow and anger through their performances every time he feels terrible...

You people should really stop talking when Kyo is singing, its really rude. Dir en grey should stay in Japan where they are appreciated.

I was there, and this was right after the 'unplugged agsom intro' or whatever.
He made it very clear that he really didn't want to sing the song at all. And then when he was all hunched, the chorus came.
And everyone sang.
It was really really emotional.
I was right exactly to the right of that guy with the camera.
And during the signing Kyo looked like he didn't want to be there.
I think he was sick, but it was also very emotional for him.
