  • *weeps* where did music go????

  • Great, great song. This guy should have had A LOT more airplay. Very good guitarist as well.

  • Saw Marshall and Dave Edmonds in Chicago a few years back (probably 7 yrs now). They both played solo and were outstanding!

Crenshaw - One True Rocker and one of the true Greats! One of my all time favorites! Keep Rocking Marshall.

  • great song

  • MC is the BEST! My wife and I instantly fell in love with this song the first time we heard it in '83. I agree with those who feel he should have been a household name.

Of course, he has always been so in our household! Absolutely a wonderful musician! Thank you Marshall!

  • The reason you don't hear music like this anymore is becuase alot of musicians don't know where their music comes from and they don't know how to play a chord on a guitar clean with out distortion. And never mind chord structure

  • If I ever get married, this is the first song I dance to.

  • Would love to see the original video again...spring of 1983!!

  • I always really liked this song, but the music drowns out the vocals. I can make out very little of what he is singing. It's not down to his vocal style or anything; it just needs to be levelled better (imho).

  • @rb62470 Your right! I have always thought that as well. I do have the record and its not as bad as this recording. Sounds awesome through head phones.

  • @rb62470 I don't mind it nearly as much as when an egotistical lead singer drowns out everything else, but I believe it's exacerbated by the fact that the guitar plays in unison with his voice at the start of each chorus. Maybe they should have separated them L vs. R during those sections. This could also use more bass, but it sounds great otherwise.

  • people will still be listening to MC when Justin What's his name is just a trivia question.

  • Fantastic!!

  • That opening guitar riff is so undeniably woven into my soul. I think it heals me. Love you Marshall.

  • ABSOLUTELY A SMASH HIT BY A TRULY AMAZING MUSICIAN< POET< SINGER/SONGWRITER. BRILLIANT FIRST NOTE TO FADE OUT !!!!

  • in a just world, Crenshaw would be a superstar, & Justin Bieber would be shining shoes at the airport...

  • @yoburke what a perfect way of putting it! LOL...I totally agree!

  • @yoburke ok ENOUGH with the bieber comments it's the most tiresome thing ever on youtube.

  • God damn!

  • @yoburke I couldn't agree more

  • @yoburke - lmao! GREAT GREAT comment!!!!

  • Original video was awesome! Too bad they kill all the great things!

  • jingly jangly

  • Marshal definately had a minimal bubble gum pop sound with a very descent voice and easy listening capabilities... easy to sing along with and identify with...

I definately enjoyed his sounds and songs.... take a good listen and save..

  • Thanks for posting! I saw him in NJ in the late 70's and fell in love with him and had this album. Great memories!

  • pop perfection!

  • LOVE this hook- Such talent! there's no one like him-

  • He should have been a household name. Absolutely love this guy's music.

  • Still great after all these years. Oh, and a big raspberry to whatever record company yutz forced YouTube to yank the original video.

  • @msxeno Is that what happened? I love the original video - - hope it comes back!

  • I played the hell out of this cassette when I first bought it in 1983....great from start to finish. I need to buy it again!

  • One of my favs. Thanks a lot!

  • the best...had on cassette in the early 80s...still love it

  • One of the greatest songs I've ever heard.

  • A true original pop-master. In the tradition of Buddy Holly, Beatles, Squeeze,etc...

You either have it or you don't . Glad to hear he still does! Thanks for posting his songs!!

  • Saw him live 5 years ago,he still has it!!!

  • Only heard this song on one station in chicago wxrt in the early 80's. Had to go out and buy the album. Still have it. Great song.
