MC is the BEST! My wife and I instantly fell in love with this song the first time we heard it in '83. I agree with those who feel he should have been a household name.
Of course, he has always been so in our household! Absolutely a wonderful musician! Thank you Marshall!
The reason you don't hear music like this anymore is becuase alot of musicians don't know where their music comes from and they don't know how to play a chord on a guitar clean with out distortion. And never mind chord structure
I always really liked this song, but the music drowns out the vocals. I can make out very little of what he is singing. It's not down to his vocal style or anything; it just needs to be levelled better (imho).
@rb62470 Your right! I have always thought that as well. I do have the record and its not as bad as this recording. Sounds awesome through head phones.
@rb62470 I don't mind it nearly as much as when an egotistical lead singer drowns out everything else, but I believe it's exacerbated by the fact that the guitar plays in unison with his voice at the start of each chorus. Maybe they should have separated them L vs. R during those sections. This could also use more bass, but it sounds great otherwise.
Marshal definately had a minimal bubble gum pop sound with a very descent voice and easy listening capabilities... easy to sing along with and identify with...
I definately enjoyed his sounds and songs.... take a good listen and save..
never received enough air play ..... soooooo sorry 1980's radio has thrown it away ... i think some never knew it existed ... such a shame , it's such a super nice song !!!
*weeps* where did music go????

Great, great song. This guy should have had A LOT more airplay. Very good guitarist as well.

Saw Marshall and Dave Edmonds in Chicago a few years back (probably 7 yrs now). They both played solo and were outstanding!
Crenshaw - One True Rocker and one of the true Greats! One of my all time favorites! Keep Rocking Marshall.
