I own Volume 1 XL, ordered from Jellyvision's online store. I ran it with the CD in the drive, and experienced lag due to my drive being an idiot.
That may be your issue, VmKid. I'd copy the files not normally installed by the game to wherever your game is technically "installed" on your hard drive. It'll speed up things a whole lot more, and it eliminates the need for the CD to be in the drive the whole time.
@VikutaaChyaaruzu Actually, i've since made an image of the game in DAEMON Tools Lite, and I will run it from that from now on. Won't fix the sound problems, unfortunately.
Of course, I've some solutions to correct audio problems. Depending on your budget, you may need to shell out more money for additional hardware and software, though.
Me, my computer has an S-Video output port. My inherited Sony DVD Handycam has an S-Video cable and dubbing capabilities. I connected an A/V cable from my Samsung MiniDV camcorder to my headphones port (audio only), hooked up a Sony A/V switcher to it, wired the Handycam to the S-Video port, and BOOM. John Madden BOOM.
@mrdanman9 Sure. Here's the instructions: Go onto Amazon, purchase the game, get DAEMON Tools Lite, Right-Click the DAEMON Tools icon in the taskbar, click "Disc Imaging" and it'll give you the ISO.
In other words: No, I will not help you pirate the game. I don't care how poor you are. I don't care WHO you are. You're not getting the .iso.
Oh yeah I loved this game. Brings back too many memories of the late 90s playing it at my Grandparents house on their computer. I loved the Jack Attack, lol. I used to play it when I was like, 10 or 11 and I never knew the answers. haha. I wonder if we still have the old disc somewhere, I want to put it on my computer, but who knows if it will work.
Did you purposely get the drawing and quartering answer wrong? That was the only one I got right when I played this as a little kid. The joys of having older siblings. Thanks for posting this; it really takes me back! ^-^
no, i'm just retarded. That question actually is debated because of a similar question in YDKJ6: TLG, which asked what Drawing and Quartering was, and one of the choices (which is the one Buzz explains at about 3:00) was wrong. I wonder if Jellyvision has an explanation for that.
why are there no downloads for zis?

@damprumpan Because it's not a free game. You can find a CD copy on Amazon.

I used to play the UK version of the game, they got Paul Kaye to narrate it, frickin' hilarious.

blackkitty369 2 years ago 2

VmKid 2 years ago
He He! um...Yeah Inever thought it was for adults.I thought it was for everyone.
blackkitty369 2 years ago 2
I used to play it with my dad and sister as well. It may be made for adults, but it's not really that vulgar and it's fun as hell.
