Hes one of my favorite characters in game. Boris is not even as half as cool and strong as Ridley. Best unit in whole game. Give him Shu and that guy what adds 3 atack and hes invinciable

I've only managed to save Ridley once. I don't know why, but he was always taken out within the first two turns every other match. But the one time I did save him, I had routed most of the enemy and left Luca Blight there by himself with only one shot left to kill him too. I accidently placed Ridley near my hero, and the battle ended when I had Luca completely surrounded.

Suikoden II was an awesome game, and this moment was one of my favorites.

Ridley was such a badass. I will never forget his "Now feel the power of the Kobolds!!!" warcry.

In one fell swoop, Ridley showed you don't fuck with dogs that can walk, talk and carry swords.

Ridley's resque is a matter of luck hof often he uses his "critical" ability without being damaged by the enemy unit. I started to play yesterday and it took me about 15 tries till I could save him. Well Suikoden is a wonderful game and I am proud to be a owner of that classical RPG!

yeah, i tried this scenario and it took me 2 tries (i redo if he gets captured) to actually get Ridley out there. And yeah, I also kicked Seed's ass and another unit of his!

Seed is a fuckin weakling in the early battle maps.

dude, was just playing this part over just now, and i could have saved ridley, but i decided to be stupid and go kill everyone and leave luca...

and apparently, once luca hurts the Hero, Shu forces you to retreat immediately....

i was unable to save ridley when he was 1 hex away from me....undamaged....i'm so pissed...

btw, i named my Hero Joey too! haha

dude i am up to this part too. I've got 45 hours of game time and am lvl 45. Spent lots of time exploring n talking to everyone.

Btw, put chaco (flight skill) and someone with clavary in the same unit. That way the unit can move 4 squares in a turn. Try it.

Dun put on flik, since he is archer range unit.

took like 100 tries but i finally beat him, i made ridley go down to the very bottom and i killed the guy to the left, only person i didnt kill in the whole battle was luca.

its weird how Sasarai doesn't use his True Earth Rune against you. He doesn't have the option to.

When does he exactly get the TE rune?

He does use the True Earth rune to escape, the English Translation just messed it up

ok so before we went to toran we had 25,000 troops...we gathered 5000 from toran(which is funny because thats a really low number for the whole republic) and we come back and instead of 30,000 we have 20k? how does that work?

@redwolf481 well i dont know myself too how the number went down to 20,000 soldiers but president lepant did said that he only had 5000 soldiers he could deploy RIGHT AWAY maybe he deployed more later in the game or maybe he decided he didnt want to waste any more soldier than that because he is not in a direct war with the highlands

@redwolf481 While your right, that it doesn't make sense, the Toran Republic only gives you one company of soldiers, with either Veleria or Kasumi in charge. They wouldn't give you all their soldiers and leave themselves defenseless, so they only give you the soldiers they've got just lying around doing nothing instead.

I can't really get into Suikoden 3 at all. I've tried time and time again, but it just seems to be a mockery of the series, as does 4. Could you just message me all the details?

4 sucks, everybody loves 2, it's the one that really drags you into the story. as long as it's your first time playing, it gets pretty predictable the second time around.

The only reason I was able to win this battle was because Ridley Critted four times in a row. Though you fared a lot better than I did.
