Where the fuck were you NASA, when Fallujah Iraq was being burned and melted by WMDs? Where the fuck were you when 25,000 kids inhaled toxic dust on 9/11? DEFUND THIS SHIT. Get your fucking heads out of the fucking clouds people are fucking dying out here and your ocean is dying. You will all die soon. There is no place to go. This is it. And you are doing nothing to stop the killing. Shame on you NASA. Shame on you. Shame. Shame. Shame.
@HostileNegotiator What the fuck did they do? you need to stop being a little bitch and get your head out of the gutter. I am a nice guy and don't find war right whatsever. But, it must be done to stop other country's from bombing the shit out of us. You don't know what its like to almost be dead or near it you ignorant fuck. So get off your high horse and stop blaming NASA for killing everyone. Dumbass.
@Jmax145 WWI was supposed to be the "end of all wars" Then there was WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and then NASA was again supposed to "end all wars" look at our great space program uniting the world! The US is now engaging in 5 wars most people don't even know about 3 of them. I'm just saying NASA is another "toy" and another "tool" for little immature boys & girls who need to grow up and take a healthy dose of reality into their brains.
Wow, after reading the conversation between "lauthenticl" and .... everyone else, it's easy to tell this person is either a troll, or mentally retarded.. just a quick glimpse at his/her channel provides the explanation..
Oh yeah, "Out there in the dark. What new discoveries await us...?" Why not do actual research that would benefit human kind instead? Research like finding cures for all the illeness that plague the human population of this insignificant rock planet called Earth? NASA. Waste of taxpayers money.
@IauthenticI you're an ignorant prick, you really have no idea of what you're talking about, but anyways, youtube is full of stupid comments from stupid people like you.
@IauthenticI There are people working on cures for various illnesses, there are also people working on developing those illnesses. You might not know, but resources on our planet are finite and population is growing far quicker than expected and soon, we'll have to colonize other planes, otherwise people will die. In past, it was all solved by war, so it's your choice. You want cure your cold or you want war?
You are a comedian. Us, humans will never go beyond our solar system and that is being optimistic. We are more likely to destroy ourselves. Just remember, IF they find planets where to escape from this shithole those will only be for the rich and powerful, not you bubbah, not you nor me.
@IauthenticI So if we find another civilization from well developed universe that can help us with speed at which we can travel, it's just waste of time and we can just kill each other? Tell me please, why there are banks? Why there is police? Why there is religion? Why all this corporation drain much bigger chunk of money from tax payers? Because people are stupid. Things that NASA does help us in real life, banks aren't. Police is just helping with people, which isn't helping at all.
@IauthenticI im pretty sure you troll with this fake opinion to get attention from people all the time, i recognise the username. im going to do some research on you [which will be funded by NASA].
@IauthenticI Here comes another fortune teller with his crystal ball... just like the ones before him thought going to space would be totally pointless. Well, as it turned out, among other things, satellites not only give you the internet, cellphone, etc, but also help predict weather, increase national security, etc. Lack of far-sightedness like yours is what increases the misery of human civilization. And unfortunately a large section of people on the planet are stup*d & illiterate as this.
Nothing wrong with telecommunication and defense satellites dumb dumb. What is wrong is trying to land on Mars or anywhere beyond our moon. It's okay to dream or live in a fantasy universe, but you need to be realistic. Unfortunately a large section of people on this planet are star wars/avatar fanboys that simple lack common sense. And there is no need to censor yourself stupid.
@IauthenticI 2day u say there's "nothing wrong wth telecom...", but 100 yrs earlier u (or people like u) would hav said "what is wrong is trying to *go to space*...you need to be realistic". Tht's the irony... people like u tht have no idea how science works are the prime hindrance 2 science, but later shamelessly reap the benefit out of it & take it for granted. 200 yrs frm now when there won't be enough fresh air & water on earth, you would shamelessly reap benefits of today's space ventures.
@IauthenticI btw, for your information, science & technology has always grown from & has been inspired by science fiction. The ideas of artificial satellites, aircraft flight, even small things like your magnetic swipe card.. hav all been inspired by sci-fi. Of course you don't hav the ability to notice these. I wuld suggest u read some history on development of technology, and how short-sighted people like you have said stupid things as you regarding technology in the past. Hope it will help.
@IauthenticI This is a typically ignorant comment. Science is the quest for knowledge. Medicine is not the only avenue of research, & growth in all areas of science is what contributes to progress. The current NASA budget would not make a dent in the advancement of medical research. Medical and Biotech research already receive huge grants globally & progress is being made in many areas.
If you want to talk about a waste of tax payers money, then look up the defence budget of the U.S.A alone.

@IauthenticI buddy, even if by your logic, I consider all investments towards future as "futile", it seems by the same logic you would call all forms of arts, quest for knowledge, etc, that do not directly contribute towards immediate healthcare, as futile. You see, being human is more than fight for survival.. it involves creativity, quest for knowledge, & understanding ourselves, the environment around us, and our place in the universe. Without those would would just be warmongering animals.
@IauthenticI You know... the most appreciated and inspiring achievements of man have involved space exploration. We not only Learn from it, grow by it, feel inspired by it; but the technology developed during it trickles down to the public at large. Space exploration is a science and an endeavour as grand as any in human history.
Where space exploration enriches us as a species.
Defence and war simply take away, deny and destroy.
and you are a waste of air, think before you speak, the ONLY thing that matters to humans is out in space, virus's will come, and we will find cures eventually but that takes time. more money in fact should be going to nasa's research and development, yes cancer, aids, ebola, all those diseases that "plague mankind" are terrible, but one asteroid, or large meteor and EVERYONE is dead, there are roaming black holes that we cant see that could come through and kills us
Wrong. The only thing that matters to us, humans is wealth and the suffering of lesser fortunate fucks. Don't tell me you don't agree 'cause then you will be a hypocrite. Have a flying fuck of a day, where ever the hell is that you reside.
@IauthenticI You say we're not being realistic because we're planning Mars flights. 400 years ago sound recording would be magic, and look where we are now. Not only science grows better, it also grows exponentially. Everything could be possible.
We don't know what awaits us in space. That's why we keep going.
How does a black hole power a galaxy? I thought black holes pull in matter making it nonexistent. On another topic, I LOVE the outro to these videos. Seeing the little satelite move across Earth's orbit while getting a view of space looks so cool!
@CoreyfromEarth The black hole for the galaxy is like the sun for our planetary system. Of course the sun has its gravitational pull that can pull stuffs right into it, but the same gravitation can help planets keep revolving around it in orbits. Similarly the black hole's strong gravity can pull matter into itself, but can also make the stars go round it (that's the galaxy). The part where black hole make the pulled matter nonexistent is only when the matter has crossed its event horizon.

Do you think that this is not being done?
Actually if you compare the amount spent on medical research compared to astronomy you will find vastly more is spent on medical.
