What a treat to stumble onto this! Was just cruising YouTube to see if I could find the version of Lord of the Dance that I learned while singing as a guest in the Northport High School Choir in 1979. Guess I found it :)
Thank you sooo much for posting this! This brings back so many wonderful memories.... It's been so long since I've been able to go to the concert and join in.... I was in the class of 1992 and as this played I sang along with you guys... It was just beautiful... I forgot how wonderful we sounded.
Actually alumni still go on stage, for a shorter time though. After the concert they form a circle in the commons for an imprompto concert - it's always amazing!
I'm a 1988 graduate and I ALWAYS recall this "alumni" rendition of Lord of the Dance every time I sing it in church! Thanks for posting this for the "old timers" - too bad the alumni aren't invited to sing anymore. Does the choir still sing it for the December concert? It's nice to know Mr. Johnson's legacy survived this long -
Good Times. Thanks for posting this. I wish Sandy's legacy would have been carried on. He was the greatest teacher I ever had. Andrew R. Class of 2000
