It may or may not be epic in the eyes of some people, but this game sure did highlight Donkey Kong as even more than just "charging and barging." It showed how agile he is after all these years, since of the latest game releases where he barely used his strength, like the Mario Party series. I'm actually fond of this game, and I consider the boss fights (primerally the kong battles) to be epic in the literal sense of the word. Though some stages were harder, if trying for a gold or plat.

Wow, dude got trashed LOL. Ok, this game does look fun, and better than playing with some bangos. But after growing up with the DKC series and DK64, its only that:"OK". I wish Nintendo would make a DK game like N64 (no side scrolling) with King K. Rool. Fighting him was always fun. They even don't have to add Chunky, Lanky, or Tiny(even though it would be nice); but I think if Didd y was at least in it, the game would turn out great. They could keep this as a side story.

I have the Wii version. The game is good enough to stand on its own through gameplay, it doesn't need such gimmick controls that the original had.

You still shake the remote and nunchuck alternatively as if you were pounding the bongos for beating up enemies, but they made controlling DK's movement more simple so you can focus on enjoying the game instead of working the odd controls.

when i got that last boss battle i thought it was a different looking guy and way much harder and by looking at the littl circle before i start the battle i looks like an eclipse so i really had a feeling it was going to be hard and the boss use eclipse power to attack and do super combos ut then im like dude he sucks the only difference is that he can throw green slow as hell fireballs OoOoOoOoH he must feel so powerful
