  • Where is the dome light jumper you mentioned? I know you said under the column but is it hard to get to?

  • The panels missing in the trunk is where the communications radio were mounted. The most used radio by Law enforcement is the Motorola Spectra which had 2 seperate units to it. One unit when in the trunk which was the Transmitter and Receiver and the other was the head which went in the front with a mic attached.

  • How much did you pay for that cause that thing is NICE

  • Sweet ride. I have a 2002 supervisor's PI with 113k miles. Wouldn't do 40mph when I first got it, but it will do at least 85 now (IH10 west of Kerrville, Tex has 80mph speed limit), but runs rough (head gasket issue). Still trying to see if I can over come the problem with Dura Seal head gasket sealer, but it doesn't look like it will happen. Will be cheaper to put another engine in it than to have a shop put head gaskets on it. We will see, but I still like it.

  • That is a very nice unit!

  • Regular mainteience on these vehicles will make them run great and LAST FOREVER!! Durability and Dependibility is what the Vic is all about!

  • And for those wondering about when i said "FAST" THEY ARE! For a 4500lb vehicle these things can haul some azz, especially out on the open highway, which they were made for. Nascar of the Freeway by all means!

  • These cars are just downright awesome! Some people do not get it and will call you a "Whacker" or a "Wanna-be" but that doesn't even apply and really WHO CARES what these idiots think. It goes waaaaay beyond the fact that these are former Police vehicles, everything is just about heavy-duty, they have been maintained well, they run hard and fast and most importantly they are like a Timex that takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin!

  • These cars last, I have a sheriffs car, I took care of it and it's been running like a champ for at least 2yrs of traveling all over the country,

  • And we couldn't get a start-up...why?

  • Anyone ever told you that you sound a bit like a computer? lol. Anyway, nice donk there. That dome light was actually used on some Australian made Fords back in the 90s, hah.

  • What is mpg when you do 50-55mph ?

  • i have put over 100k on mine since i got in just 3 years, very stable, and reliable.

  • That is one beautiful P71. Love that red color.

  • An ex police car can be a really good car. They are well maintained. The Crown vics have a good reputation and 200k miles in not at all uncomon on them. The police package has heavy duty everything so they are rugged and can take a real pounding.

  • I put 11,000 miles in 9 months on my 03 P71. Drove it from L.A. to San Francisco. Drove it to Vegas. Drives me to work everyday. Averages 22-23mpg. Drives and handles great. Personally I think there is no better long distance or daily driver car then a P71. Built like a tank =)

  • nice

  • The Bolts in the trunk were for the radio they had in the car also. All antennas on the trunk were ran through one system.

  • i want it

  • Most likely it was the trunking scanner that was mounted in your trunk.

  • im looking for a first car, and i love the feel of a nice V8 and the power, this car looks like the perfect combination of power and utility without horrible gas milage, only problem i find is that they dont come in manual :/

  • wow that thing is clean!

  • What's the thing inside the car that looks like a smoke detecter called

  • @AvalonGarden88 dome light

  • You got the best year. 250hp version and last year for cable throttle. 06 has the drive by wire which personally I think is not as responsive as your foot is. I bought an 03 4 months ago and I love it!

  • Nice car! We bought a used P71 that was a former TABC car. Like yours it too has carpeting and crusie control, but it also has a split bench seat and 6 seat belts. It had been repainted before the TABC sold it and has a full, wrap around bumper guard. Very nice car! Had 119,XXX miles when we bought it in Feb., 2010. Has 125, XXX miles now. Paid $4500 for it. Has 3.27 rear gears so it's not too bad on fuel when making road trips across Texas. Around 25 mpg..

  • iv,e noticed that all the p71's don't have the hood matting I wonder why? I took mine of my 97 B4 I sold it heat Rises and I don't want my hood to Discolor mine is white an 04 But Looks Like Brand new everywhere only 55,800k with the Luxary hubcaps what's up with no more hood matting though that's so stupid

  • Looks Great Bro! I found a 03 p71 with only 55,800k Looks Like a Brand new 09 I put a set of flowmaster super 44's cut short it sounds Loud mines all white with the Luxary hubcaps i,m adding the k&n air kit also sold my 97 vic for 3k so mine was $5,600k it was worth it my windows are blacked out and it still has the strobes lol I Love these models to bad they stopped making them i,m gonna dyno mine also you can add cruise to these the plug is on the Left just change the steering wheel

  • I have a Unity spotlight that needs a bulb replaced...any good ideas (other than Unity) to get a replacement bulb?...Also...u mentioned the interior light needed to be hooked back up...can u help me locating the wires?

  • Congrtulation on your P71 purchase. It is hard to find nice 2005 models WITH Cruise control. Most don't have it. So all the better for you.

Looking forward to seeing the drive test videos.

    Take Care

  • Hey Chains..beautiful CVPI...I just bought a 2005 last week. 69K White...blacked out windows. I'm not too thrilled of the center caps...your rims look like mine...do you know if you can fit full wheel covers on them?

  • Will full size hub caps fit on those rims?

  • Does it have a LSD?

  • Very Nice. I want the same one in Black.

  • Get some rims off a 2008 Mustang GT.

I did and the car looks awsome.

The rims backspace the tires to the wheelwell.

You can put Mustang rims on a vic but vic rims wont go on a mustang.

  • The reason the liner is missing from the trunk is because thats where they mount all there electronic syestems like Radar Computer if they have them, and there lights such as wig wags and hide aways which are where the control boxes usalaly get mounted at but man thats a nice car wish I had a crown vic

  • I hate Crown Vics...only because every color you get them in they look SO DAMN BEAUTIFUL...makes it hard to pick a color when you want repaint them. Their like shoes, you want them in every color. I'm so pissed they're discontinuing these. I will buy a few more before they start disappearing. Beautiful car btw

  • how do these cars do with day to day driving (as far as durability and standards etc.)?

  • @coleandrobert I use mine every day. I average about 19 MPG with combined city/highway. Driving on an interstate, I can get 24 MPG. I expect the car to be very reliable. After seeing how many taxis are on the streets of NYC and other cities, I'm sure with the heavy duty components on my car and the way I drive, it should go for a long time yet. The heat exchanger between the coolant and engine oil has to add to it's life as well.

  • @chains350 sounds good, thanks

  • @chains350 Any lights or sirens on It?

  • @chains350 aye. jus costly to insure vs a "converted p74" ( civvy)

  • @chains350 with the mods i have on my mgm i get 28city and 38highway,,,,i spent $2000 but the gas i save payed for all the parts and labor,,,,

  • @TheSleepermgm

I would LOVE to know what mods you did to your mgm..

  • @SjKimber all your basic bolt ons for performance but i drive at around 1800rpms when im in town and once i am up to speed i keep it there ,,if you look at my videos and read the info at the bottum of the video you will see,,if you build a car for performance with 311ftlbs of torque and from that point drive it lightly you will save gas and money,,dont get me wrong if i floor it she will drink gas but with my torque i dont need to run my rpms up that high to get to 50mph and keep it there,,,,,,,

  • @coleandrobert im thinking about getting me one but i want a stage 3 package

  • @trafficsgt09 I paid a bit more for this car than I normall would just because of the condition. It was close to $7000. I tried to win some used PA State Trooper cars at a nearby auction. They were all junk. All 90 of them went for over $5000 a piece.

  • @chains350 Wow--you guys pay a lot for those, I have a 2005 RCMP cruiser---no carpet, no cruise control--170,000 KM ---$2400.00 Canadian dollars..

Maybe i should be importing them to US---mine is still white on the bottom, couple chips by rear fender

  • @myxguitars Beautiful condition and nice cleaning job on it, your car looks great--I have put about 6000 miles on mine--beautiful driving cars---we also get the Tahoe's for about $6000 in good shape.

  • sharp car-i'm in mn and got your twin (2005 hwy patrol Toreador Red is the color.all hyw patrol (in mn) have carpet/cruise-and if your lucky,a maint log book in the glovebox.mine had 92,000 when retired-got it for 3995. including title/tax bs.only problem was had to bypass a failing lcm(light control module)so i had headlamps!otherwise-rock solid.

  • @mishke The Toreador Red color is awesome in the sunshine and looks almost deep purple at night. That was what sold me on this car.

  • @mishke How did you bypass it? I have an 03 and just replaced mine. The dealer price was outrageous and after searching I found one from an 04 which looked the same but after installing it I now have headlights again but my dome light is on all the time. Its not a huge issue as I just pulled the bulb but I wonder what else may not be ok.

  • @Jayhoyt32 The dealer i bought it from had their wrench do it-took him about 15 min.He wired in the headlamp leads to the A/C powersource.Kinda like daytime driver lights (always on w/the ignition). That got old so i added an inline rocker switch to turn them off if desired.Going on 3 yrs now with no problems even with A/C and headlights on.

  • Very nice!

copcarsonline has some of the nicest

    ex cop cars for sale.

  • holy crap.. doesnt look like 106.000 miles at all.. more like... 106 miles haha

  • Very very nice dude. I cant wait till i sell my camaro so i can get one of these p71's!
