  • omg this is so hard to watch!!my daughter(2 years) had this done last week, they believe she may have bone marrow failure so for the next 6 weeks she will have blood work done every tuesday and friday to keep track of her wbc and her platelets-god bless you and your family..is there any tips you reccomend to stay strong?

  • Aww :(

  • I hope Austin is better now.

  • i think ANYONE should be put under for a procedure like this

  • i hope austin is doing well and is in the arms of our lord and savior jesus christ

  • IM LOST UM MY CUZIN HAS CANCER BUT IDK WAT KIND OF CANCER .. BUT HER HAIR FELL OFF N WELL SHE LOOKED FINE AFTER LIKE A FEW DAYZ SHE WAS A LIL CHUBBY .. BUT MY QUESTION IS WAT IS CANCER WAT IS LEUKEMIA ?

  • I don't know, having anesthesia in the modern world, why not use in adult patients?

The patient should ask for it!

Anyways, the problem, the real problem is leukemia. :-(

  • What does this stuff look like?

  • How come it won't hurt?

  • I was 10 and wide awake, i did get some sedatives but trust me i felt it. I was screaming so bad, and after it was done, they tested it came back and said your son has leukemia (Me)

  • @blueyednite awww bless ya xx

  • I didnt get shit for that , I was awake the whole fucking time , I was 7. I had to be held down.

  • least hes asleep wish the best

  • hey daddy you do an awsome Job at narratin this for us, It makes me cry.

you should write a book about Austins Jurney for other parnets that might be going threw this same thing with their children.

  • God bless you & family for sharing this and for the words of wisdom. I pray that Austin remains safe in Jesus' loving care.

  • I have refused to ever have another one. No more, I can't stand them any more. Some can handle them better than others and it does depend somewhat who is doing it. It all honesty, after the third one, I would start screaming before they even touched me. I get physically sick thinking about the pain the young ones have to tolerate. Personally, I'd rather have a kidney stone than this.

  • bones

  • austin your such a wonderful boy your so brave..... you touches my heart deeply and you make cry il pray for you and your family.....

  • that makes me cry i will pray for him

  • OMG poor little baby, I give thanks to God everyday that my 2 kids are strong and healthy...I dont think I could ever handle something like this...

  • it's so heartbreaking to see children go through this kind of horrible disease, they're so helpless and innocent... and he is such a brave, cute adorable kid.

  • it's breaking my heart watching this trying not to cry.

  • Why is it children don't say boo and all we adults do is cry if something is sore.

  • Because children are put under general anesthesia and adults not (they get only local anesthesia which doesn't work for the inner part of the bone).

  • My God, how crueladade do it this angel ... May God bless you. At least the minimum they could do it was silk. Glad to have this sensitivity. Indeed, the pain must be unbearable

  • I have adult acute myeloid leukemia and have had several bone marrow aspirations. They tried the first one with me awak, but the pain was too unbearable. Since then I have anaesthetic or I couldn't manage it. If you are an adult with leaukemia and need a bone marrow apsiration please request anaesthetic even though it isn't protocol. You oncologist should allow this and it makes the proceedure must less traumatic. Austin is so strong and more brave than me after the aspiration.

  • My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family...

  • to everyone who has leukemia: KEEP FIGHTING DON"T GIVE UP YOU CAN DO IT!!! GOD BLESS

  • Our Heavenly Father I pray for this little boy who name is Austin. I know that Our Heavenly Father answers prayers. Sweet heart I believe in my religion with all my heart. I will continue to pray for you. I read the Book Of Mormon that book I feel is true. I'll continue to read Ether Chapter 12. Ether chapter about Faith. I have Faith that you will be cancer free. I say this prayer in your son name Jesus Christ . Amen.
