I am a police officer for MPDC. This is an inaccurate protrayal of the actual practices of MPDC. The thin blue line still exists. MPDC is notorious for abandoning officers who make valid and necessary complaints against the department. I have seen first hand the corruptness that occurs on the street and within the department. I have tried relentlessly to address such issues with the appropriate chain of command with NO support from Chief Lanier.

Don't worry, forzzaazzurri. She's engaging in what's called politicking. VOA equates roughly to our BBC Overseas Dept., & that is the only kind of portrayal of your department that they'd be likely to put out. I'm not trying to disrespect yourself, your department or your profession, by the way. I'm only too well aware that policing anywhere is a dangerous job & no one forgives you if you get it wrong.

With all due respect Sir. VOA is funded by the American people not one particular administration and I can guarantee you that nobody from the government or any other agency asked me to do this nor did they approve or disapprove this. This is solely because I wanted to do this story, I liked the way police is trained here because where I come from, police usually talk later, they hit first.
