Child support is what we call a retro-active law. It attempts to right the wrongs of what was done in the past. It's under the guise of helping the child and was created after research firms conluded that it was good to enforce the laws as we know it.

Legally, child support and visitation are completely seperate issues. The fact you pay support does not entitle you to visitation if it has been denied for whatever reason; however, not paying support does not entitle the custodial parent to deny visitation, either.

It is all about money and the way to make it better is for men to learn the law, cut off the money ,power and control. Once that is done the state will butt out, women will start to act right, once they know that corrupt system will not back them anymore. A fair and equitable system, without the state being involved, is the only arrangement that will work and work for the long term.

Contact and support are two seperate issues. Just because you pay child support doesn't always mean you get contact. Vice versa, wanting contact with your kids doesn,t mean you have to pay. If this was the case it would be a sort of legal kidnapping and ransom scenario. Everybody has different cicumstances, but seperating the two issues is the way to move forward. Pay your child support and see your kids, two responsible things to do that you will never regret.

You're on to a couple things that go much deeper. The child extort collection agency enforces one thing and one thing only, Collections of cash. Secretly visitation is routinely discouraged by the court. Why? It not only means less money in parenting time reductions they run the risk of losing 18 plus years of residual income and job security! @TEISHASALON here is the bottom line on t.v. the dad usally is portrayed as the dead beat and the women is portrated as you. the reality with me and all the men i know is the women dont do lawfully with the money and beg the court and gets more than she deserves. i seen my ex right after she got support her nails were done hair done. before support she never had it that good. if she cant afford the kid she is unfit and if the dad is good he should have custody.........

Excellent post. For some reason, what defines how good a parent is after a divorce seems to stem from how much money can come out of their pocket to the other spouse. It's pretty damned sad really. Granted...we all need money to a point BUT.....What's so sad is that if a parent can't find a way to bond, be close, love and nuture their child without a piece of paper to cash at the bank, then they aren't worth a damned as a parent anyways.

There is movement in family court towards 50/50 custody which would reduce child support and give the children need most......BOTH PARENTS!...guess what? WOMEN R AGAINST IT!!!!

CHILD SUPPORT SUCKS!!!!! What happens is that the parents don't realize what happened and fast forward years later and the child suffers. My ex and I had a CRAZY relationship that produced 3 children and now he refuses to pay or see the children because he doesn't like me. We need more classes on how to co-parent effectively. There are areas in life where the law should have no role or a very limited scope. The emphasis has to be place on the choosers of life, and they have to be forced to live with the choices. I agree w/ you Wyatt, I've made phone calls, written letters, you name it to get things changed for my child support. I'm frustrated beyond belief cause I've been out of work for the last couple of years and every attempt I've made to make amends w/ the mother of my kids has been futile. The DCSE (which is in AZ) have fed me excuse after excuse of altering what I pay. But it doesn't end w/ me. I recommend reading a book by Dr. Steven Baskerville, This could give folks a better understanding.

All righty then; Question: Why does CSEA place more emphasis on money for my kids than parenting time with my kids? Case in point: There exists a Child $upport Enforcement Agency for those who need help with the expenses of raising their kids. Why is there not a Child Parenting Time Enforcement Agency for those who want to have time with their kids? I crave time with my kids but cant afford an attorney to enforce a court order. And the gvmt. could care LESS! Sickening!!!
