I worked for Sprint relay and really, the people calling think they're punkin us but they're really not. We really don't give a shit and compared to the real life shit we used to hear the pranks weren't even as funny. But we would still have a laugh at the dumb asses who thought they were being original. We'd laugh about the real calls a lot more than the pranks. And yes, you could really tell the difference.

Yeah I wasn't attempting to "punk" the operators, it was more about just trying to push the operators to see how far they would go. I've had operators threaten to call the police or refuse to read the message.

Thats fucked up cause we were required to say and type EVERYTHING verbatim. Even in the case of possible child abuse or another type of crime being commited our sole job was to relay the message, not to interfere or interrupt. People who do that are, in most cases, automatically terminated. If someone refused to relay something as silly as these pranks, they were probably on their first week on the job and weren't there afterward. Believe me this shit aint nothing to the actual calls we got.

You have no idea how bad it is to be an operator... get scam calls... and then get bombarded with really lame stuff. if you wanna prank, prank it good so it's going to be fun. sigh. the only funny thing is people don't realize that operators know when it's a prank call. I am one of those relay operators. Your calls probably don't last more than 5-10 minutes, but other pranks last hours and we are legally obligated to continue with them. We have had 911 calls put on hold while you have your fun.
