This wasn't even being operated near the 'design envelope' It had to kill 25 Marines before it was put into the fleet. The Air Force was forced to accept it after realizing the mistake. Actually the Osprey has a down-wash far more focused and powerful then a conventional helicopter of comparable size, tell me whats going to happen when that thing tries to land or hover within fast roping altitude in a filthy debris strewn 3rd world suburb? @Veldtian1 I've fast roped from these plenty of times, never seen debris be a problem. The wash/heat from the nacelles makes for some rough fast-roping, but it's not significantly worse than CH-53 wash.
