This freaking song. Its soooooooooooooooooooooooo good. I saw Tarzan a long time ago, but it was never one of my favorites. Then thanks to a certain MLP fanfic (an actual good one believe it or not) I was reintroduced to this song. Now I really appreciate Tarzan and Phil Collins for conspiring to make this song. Now I want to see this movie again soon, and due to all the factors this song manages to wrench tears out of me everytime I hear it. Bravo Phil, bravo.

we were born and raised in the late 80's/early 90's... we may have not grown up with music like the beatles, the doors, led zeppelin, bob dylan, bruce springsteen, neil young... something everybody seems to complain about. but we had the luck of having those great films with us, and our childhood surely wasn't in any way worse than that of those who could "see it happening". those disney films were masterpieces, and the songs don't fear any kind of comparison. don't you agree? :)

I remember when I was a little girl, I would sit in my Grandma's room with her watching Disney movies, coloring pictures, and eating junk food. Tarzan was her favorite, and she would sing this song to me all the time. Those were some of the best days of my life. She died one year ago today, and listening to this song now reminds me that she is still here for me even though I can't see her.
