That was 100% positive due to the exploding thunder. I had 1 of those not long ago though the lightning was not visible due to being bright outside. It made my apartment windows rattle.
The sound of thunder is no indication of its polarity! It's simply thunder. But looking at the still image from the video it quite possibly may well be...can't see any optical features close up. Branched like a negative strike, but wish I could zoom in on the leader tips to really tell.
I had a strike like this once probably only a mile or less away and it shook the pictures and the entire wall of my house and i was very confused to what it was but after seeing the "positive lightning" videos around here i think this is what that was
