Hi Bill - great stuff and an inspiration to disabled musicians everywhere. I'm also a bass player but without a left hand, anyway, that aside, I'm guessing the scarf near the headstock is for muting the strings, how does it work exactly as I need a way of muting my E and A strings

i hurt my hand the other day and now i can't play with my left hand (the crucial hand), what bill does is very hard man he is a hero in my opinion. having your hand hurt and Knowing what you miss is really confronting...

it seems bill had some luck in his bad luck, that he did'nt lose his other hand.
