@DrunkNinja19 Seen the Buffy series, and currently reading the comics too.. and have seen the Blade movies. Buffy would beat Blade. Blade is a badass yes, his fighting skills are awesome, but you should know that a Slayer is already gifted with these abilities and is trained even more if needed to. The Buffster would deffo beat Blade, Hell, even taking his syringes full of blood should do the trick XD

@Aamzy786 The abilities that Buffy has been gifted with are nowhere near in Blade's league. She is slower and weaker, and has far less moves than he does (and is less resourceful to boot).
His fighting skills are absolutely through the roof. Buffy, on the other hand, has never had a fight without taking serious punches and getting knocked down. Seriously, there were hardly any fights in all 7 seasons where she didn't take a hell of a beating each time.
@Aamzy786 I prefer Buffy as a character and the show was better than the Blade films, but... come on! Blade jumped out of a high rise without taking damage, takes on hundreds of vamps in one go, annihilates an entire platoon of vampire special forces without taking a single hit and can jump dozens of feat in the air, yet Buffy gets floored in most fights by normal vamps.

@DrunkNinja19 Sure, Blade can probably do all those things because his fighting skills are amazing, I give him props for that. Even though Buffy gets knocked down by a vampire, demon etc.. she will ALWAYS prove victorious in the end, by any means necessary, heck Buffy has faced worse than she would with Blade. A lot worse. And if you put Buffy the way she is NOW (comics are still continuing from season 7) she will beat Blade.
@Aamzy786 I know she has that ability to dig deep and beat whatever she's facing, but she isn't the only character to be like that. Blade is the same, but is emotionally far stronger - because he's cold inside. He is a living weapon that feels hate for his enemy and very little besides. He doesn't give up because he doesn't know how, whereas Buffy has contemplated giving up before. Hell, that was half the plot of series 6.
@Aamzy786 No way, there are no Buffy enemies that could handle Blade. Even Glory would get dicked on provided he had the hammer. On the other hand, I seriously doubt she could handle Frost, even with the syringes. Also, I doubt she could knock the syringes down with the sword - I remember she threw an axe at a target 20 feet away in series 7 and missed the bullseye by quite a way, so a shot like that under pressure most likely wouldn't happen.
@Aamzy786 Yeah, Buffy in the comics would definitely win, but they're kinda two seperate universes. I know it's canon and all, but they've changed just about everything. It's very very different, and I always got the feel that it was a different Buffy. I usually keep them seperate, but it's best to do that for the Blade comics as well - that's canon too but they're so very different, so they should be compared seperately.
But yes, comic Buffy would win. Show Buffy wouldn't though :P
@Aamzy786 True, although Blade uses stakes as well. In the first 5 minutes or so of the first film, he stakes someone one-handed in the underside of the chin so hard that it bursts through their skull and pins them to the ceiling. One of the best deaths I've ever seen in a film, and I don't think Buffy could pull it off. Certainly never did anything as skillful during the series.
Plus they've both used swords, and Blade definitely wins there.

Hey remember blade was kicking ass before he got his vampire powers and every true Buffy fans know what happened when Giles and the council took away her powers . she was useless a regular foot ball jock knocked her on her ass. it takes skill to win a fight and blade killed over 300 vamps with no powers. wolverine dose have a healing factor and indestructible bones so that would give Logan a edge on blade. don't make Buffy out to be a god she would get her ass handed to her.

In Civil War, Blade fights Wolverine & the fight is a tie, Wolverine doesn't have Super Strength either. He has increased agility, but not super speed, so Blade has Wolverine beat in all attributes, but still he could not defeat him in a fight, despite having guns, other weapons, and vampirism.
Also, Wolverine has had to save Blade before from Vampires.
Also Xander fires his gun to test Buffy's speed, she waits a few seconds to give the bullet a head start then before he can say the word "Go" Buffy takes off, reads that xander wrote on the side of his bullet, "Goonies never say die" and pulls the bullet out of the air and shows him that she caught it easy.
Buffy and Angel get their power from the universe, granting them the abilities of Gods as they are suppose to create the "new" reality to replace the current one.
So be realistic here, I didn't want to get this specific, but I had to to explain this to you. Blade's Swords will shatter off her, his bullets will bounce, his strikes will have no affect. Like Angel grabbed Faith by the throat and hurled her across the room, Buffy will tear Blade's head off.
Also when fighting Angel, Buffy uproots a tree and uses her teeth to sharpen it into a giant stake and hurls it at Angel, the tree splinters off his chest ...again, he's invulnerable!
@UnjustProphecy No Joss didn't, the comics are a CANONICAL continuation. . .that means official, which is why Joss wrote it and why its called season 8 and PICKS UP after the last TV episode. There's no different universes or anything here, it IS the same universe as the TV series.
Ultimate Blade isnt that fast or strong either but he is a different universe, which is why Nick Fury is Black instead of white, Thor isnt a God but a crazy powerful mutant, etc etc different universe, UNLIKE Buffy

When they are flying around the world banging, the shockwaves from their fucking causes massive earthquakes across the globes, breaks interdimensional rifts as well as cause the oceans to start churning. Pretty much the dimensional walls fall and Demons start invading the Earth. Buffy and Angel return to the Earthly plane and destroy the 2 billion or so demon hordes in less than a minute. . .still think Blade stands a chance?

Blade had NO super powers until he was defeated and fed upon by a Nosferatu vamp, just like The Master. He survived the bite and gained vampyric abilities.
And Ultimates is an entirely different universe, but even that Blade is nothing compared to buffy.

As for Blade vs Spiderman, thats up for debate, as Spiderman has displayed FAR greater strength feats. Until blade offers equal or greater Strength feats, which he hasn't, he less than Spidey.

Unlike Blade and Ultimate Blade, the Buffy comics are NOT a different universe, the comics are a continuation of the show, thats why they are called Season8 (show ended with s7) and that is why Joss Whedon wrote them, as well as Angel comics.
Again, once Blade can derail and hurl Trains with his bare hands or move faster than bullets or fly, he will worthy of fighting Buffy or Angel.

@UnjustProphecy So dont try to compare blade in his movies, shows, or comics to buffy, he is the realm of the Punisher, Captain American with Super Soldier Serum is beyond him, and Buffy and Angel have tapped into the realm of SUPER HEROS, not Super-humans or vampires, they have entered a whole different tier.
This is why Blade is rated at #7610 and Angel comes in at #54 on ComicVine.

@UnjustProphecy The Priest was infused with the powers of "The First Evil" a being that predates everything including Gods, Demons & Vampires or La Magra for that matter. Blade has good sword skills, but check his ranking on Comicvine, hes not really off the charts, he had one style mastered, and even then he wasn't trained by a true master, Deadpool destroys him here, & Drizzt tops the charts. Angel is also more skilled & mastered more styles from true masters and weapons.
@UnjustProphecy Hell I can go on about Angel as well. Angel has 400 years on Blade in battle experience (since you have to count the 100 years he spent fighting and surviving in Hell). Angel technically has more skill than Blade in both Martial arts and Sword fighting, Axe Fighting, dagger fighting, Bo-Staff fighting, flail and mace fighting, and many other weapons.
Blade is also reliant on his gear, whereas Buffy and Angel are more resourceful, using their surroundings when they need to.
@UnjustProphecy Now, you are simply using the movie/tv version of Blade, because the Comic blade wasn't nearly as strong and didn't nearly fight as many tough foes, and you are comparing them to low budget tv shows. Joss Whedon has explained that he did not have enough of a budget for the specials effects and such to display the character's "true" powers and abilities as he intended which was something he was able to correct in comic book format, thus the large jump in powers!

Blade defeated la magra a vampire god buffy died fighting the master a regular vampire. Hmm it would be a good fight to watch though. What about blade vs underworld. Angel is Twilight(the current villain in buffy) and he can fly, move at super speed and has Super Strength, when I say Super, I mean Super Hero super, not simple weak Vampyric strength/speed(like Blade). They have moved so far beyond the league of Vampires/demons its not even funny.

first of all Buffy would totaly win, she kicks as and sacrifices her self to save the world and doesnt carry around a retarded little japanese sword .she carries a big ass sithe and kick ass and the sithe is made for slayers and has special abilities . it works in 3 different ways . 1. its got a huge ass blade on it 2.she got a non breakable stake at the end and 3. she can hold the handle at the end to use as a wooden sword type of thing. she heels faster and has super strength and can jump HIGH
Anyone who thinks Buffy stands even the slightest of chances really needs to actually watch the Blade films.
Nothing that she's faced before can touch Blade... the guy is beyond hardcore.

@Aamzy786 The abilities that Buffy has been gifted with are nowhere near in Blade's league. She is slower and weaker, and has far less moves than he does (and is less resourceful to boot).
His fighting skills are absolutely through the roof. Buffy, on the other hand, has never had a fight without taking serious punches and getting knocked down. Seriously, there were hardly any fights in all 7 seasons where she didn't take a hell of a beating each time.

Blade jumped out of a high rise without taking damage, takes on hundreds of vamps in one go, annihilates an entire platoon of vampire special forces without taking a single hit and can jump dozens of feat in the air, yet Buffy gets floored in most fights by normal vamps.

Even though Buffy gets knocked down by a vampire, demon etc.. she will ALWAYS prove victorious in the end, by any means necessary, heck Buffy has faced worse than she would with Blade. A lot worse. And if you put Buffy the way she is NOW (comics are still continuing from season 7) she will beat Blade.

@Aamzy786 I know she has that ability to dig deep and beat whatever she's facing, but she isn't the only character to be like that. Blade is the same, but is emotionally far stronger - because he's cold inside. He is a living weapon that feels hate for his enemy and very little besides. He doesn't give up because he doesn't know how, whereas Buffy has contemplated giving up before. Hell, that was half the plot of series 6.

@Aamzy786 No way, there are no Buffy enemies that could handle Blade. Even Glory would get dicked on provided he had the hammer. On the other hand, I seriously doubt she could handle Frost, even with the syringes. Also, I doubt she could knock the syringes down with the sword - I remember she threw an axe at a target 20 feet away in series 7 and missed the bullseye by quite a way, so a shot like that under pressure most likely wouldn't happen.

@Aamzy786 Yeah, Buffy in the comics would definitely win, but they're kinda two seperate universes. I know it's canon and all, but they've changed just about everything. It's very very different, and I always got the feel that it was a different Buffy. I usually keep them seperate, but it's best to do that for the Blade comics as well - that's canon too but they're so very different, so they should be compared seperately.
But yes, comic Buffy would win. Show Buffy wouldn't though :P

In the first 5 minutes or so of the first film, he stakes someone one-handed in the underside of the chin so hard that it bursts through their skull and pins them to the ceiling. One of the best deaths I've ever seen in a film, and I don't think Buffy could pull it off. Certainly never did anything as skillful during the series.
Plus they've both used swords, and Blade definitely wins there.

Hey remember blade was kicking ass before he got his vampire powers and every true Buffy fans know what happened when Giles and the council took away her powers . she was useless a regular foot ball jock knocked her on her ass. it takes skill to win a fight and blade killed over 300 vamps with no powers. wolverine dose have a healing factor and indestructible bones so that would give Logan a edge on blade. don't make Buffy out to be a god she would get her ass handed to her.

Now don't get me wrong, Blade's a badass and I like him. I would love to see him kill the vamps from Twilight, that'd be awesome.
In Civil War, Blade fights Wolverine & the fight is a tie, Wolverine doesn't have Super Strength either. He has increased agility, but not super speed, so Blade has Wolverine beat in all attributes, but still he could not defeat him in a fight, despite having guns, other weapons, and vampirism.
Also, Wolverine has had to save Blade before from Vampires.

Also Xander fires his gun to test Buffy's speed, she waits a few seconds to give the bullet a head start then before he can say the word "Go" Buffy takes off, reads that xander wrote on the side of his bullet, "Goonies never say die" and pulls the bullet out of the air and shows him that she caught it easy.

So be realistic here, I didn't want to get this specific, but I had to to explain this to you. Blade's Swords will shatter off her, his bullets will bounce, his strikes will have no affect. Like Angel grabbed Faith by the throat and hurled her across the room, Buffy will tear Blade's head off.
Also when fighting Angel, Buffy uproots a tree and uses her teeth to sharpen it into a giant stake and hurls it at Angel, the tree splinters off his chest ...again, he's invulnerable!

@UnjustProphecy No Joss didn't, the comics are a CANONICAL continuation. . .that means official, which is why Joss wrote it and why its called season 8 and PICKS UP after the last TV episode. There's no different universes or anything here, it IS the same universe as the TV series.
Ultimate Blade isnt that fast or strong either but he is a different universe, which is why Nick Fury is Black instead of white, Thor isnt a God but a crazy powerful mutant, etc etc different universe, UNLIKE Buffy

Blade had NO super powers until he was defeated and fed upon by a Nosferatu vamp, just like The Master. He survived the bite and gained vampyric abilities.
And Ultimates is an entirely different universe, but even that Blade is nothing compared to buffy.

As for Blade vs Spiderman, thats up for debate, as Spiderman has displayed FAR greater strength feats. Until blade offers equal or greater Strength feats, which he hasn't, he less than Spidey.

@UnjustProphecy Now despite any feat Blade has displayed you still have nothing on Buffy's feats. Unlike Blade and Ultimate Blade, the Buffy comics are NOT a different universe, the comics are a continuation of the show, thats why they are called Season8 (show ended with s7) and that is why Joss Whedon wrote them, as well as Angel comics.
Again, once Blade can derail and hurl Trains with his bare hands or move faster than bullets or fly, he will worthy of fighting Buffy or Angel.

@UnjustProphecy Blade in the comics doesnt have Super Powers, he is a normal guy will skills. He obtains "some" vampire powers after he gets his ass whipped by an ubervamp, pretty much the nosferatus of the last season of Buffy on tv. However after she gets the scythe all sorts of powers open for her.
Ok, Buffy can fly, moves faster than bullets, has damn near invunerability, Angel has these as well when he fights her. She also lifts up a friggin railroadTRAIN overhead like its nothing.

@UnjustProphecy So dont try to compare blade in his movies, shows, or comics to buffy, he is the realm of the Punisher, Captain American with Super Soldier Serum is beyond him, and Buffy and Angel have tapped into the realm of SUPER HEROS, not Super-humans or vampires, they have entered a whole different tier.
This is why Blade is rated at #7610 and Angel comes in at #54 on ComicVine.

@UnjustProphecy I like Blade, but until he can fly, move so fast that people cant see his movements, strong enough derail a train; lift it overhead; and hurl it at an enemy, he really doesn't enter the realm of Buffy and Angel.
Angel is the villain known as "Twilight" in Buffy S8(comics) who recently revealed himself, and the powers hes displayed are insane. Again, Blades cool, but hes just Super-human, not Super Hero tear!

OMG you guys are on buffys nuts. angel and spike feared the master who buffy died fighting. blade cut of la magras hand in a sword fight he was way faster and stronger than a regular vampire. blades sword skills are off the charts. what about that priest that knocked buffy out in one punch season seven, blade would have murderd him. la magra would have raped buffy. she would have needed willow to help and spike and angel would have got dusted just like with illyria season 5 of angel.

@UnjustProphecy The Priest was infused with the powers of "The First Evil" a being that predates everything including Gods, Demons & Vampires or La Magra for that matter. Blade has good sword skills, but check his ranking on Comicvine, hes not really off the charts, he had one style mastered, and even then he wasn't trained by a true master, Deadpool destroys him here, & Drizzt tops the charts. Angel is also more skilled & mastered more styles from true masters and weapons.

@UnjustProphecy Hell I can go on about Angel as well. Angel has 400 years on Blade in battle experience (since you have to count the 100 years he spent fighting and surviving in Hell). Angel technically has more skill than Blade in both Martial arts and Sword fighting, Axe Fighting, dagger fighting, Bo-Staff fighting, flail and mace fighting, and many other weapons.
Blade is also reliant on his gear, whereas Buffy and Angel are more resourceful, using their surroundings when they need to.

@UnjustProphecy Now, you are simply using the movie/tv version of Blade, because the Comic blade wasn't nearly as strong and didn't nearly fight as many tough foes, and you are comparing them to low budget tv shows. Joss Whedon has explained that he did not have enough of a budget for the specials effects and such to display the character's "true" powers and abilities as he intended which was something he was able to correct in comic book format, thus the large jump in powers!

I LIKE both characters. I'd have to say blade. He has more experience whistler taught him as a child.(Skill) blade is less dependent on his allies. Blade defeated la magra a vampire god buffy died fighting the master a regular vampire. Hmm it would be a good fight to watch though. What about blade vs underworld. Buffy wins by a Landslide. Read the Buffy Comics which continue the story after the show ends. Buffy can fucking fly and move at super speeds, even more strength, etc.
She goes so far beyond vampires and demons. I mean just the fact that she can fly shows a sheer difference in their abilities. Also Angel can Fly too as seen in their fights in the Comics, well Angel is Twilight as we've just discovered, the villain in Buffy currently. Either way both chars have gone beyond Blade.

Buffy can friggin fly and move at super speed and super strength, etc. Shes gone beyond the league of Vampires and Demons(and Blade for that matter) and into the realm of Super Heros, like real Super Heros, not the lower tier characters like Blade and Punisher.
When Blade can fly and move at REAL super speed, not just vampyric speed, then he might stand a chance, but not currently.
