  • So the lesson is, don't kiss women. Got it. My wife will be pissed.#

  • brilliant

  • @unkpop and @sinik75: the singer here is actually Kelley Deal, not Kim. I happen to think Kelley is highly underrated. Search for The Kelley Deal 6000 here to see what else she's capable of.

  • I saw boobies!! =p

  • More like "It's the lust". But whatever...

  • Anyone know if there is a tab in existence for this particular version of this song?

  • sounds like D and A then D B to me.. very simple

  • I love what you've done with the place!

  • I "love" what you've done with the song/video combination. 5 stars

  • Kim Deal I love you so much !!!

  • What the hell is an "unautherized cover"? I've never heard of asking permission to cover a song. I came here because I love the Breeders and I like the song. Now I might be interested and find out who the f*** the Tasties are, but sour Tasties fans resenting as little as a cover are not going to help the Tasties in any way.

Oh yes, the reason I came here: good idea with the video. Congrats.

  • I am a Tasties fan, but not a sour one. You said you had never heard of asking permission to cover a song. You are partially correct. If an artist covers another artist song on stage, they do not have to get permission. But if they record it, and are selling the song, they DO need to get permission. The Breeders and The Tasties are all friends, so I am sure that there was some sort of permission given some where down the line. The Tasties are no longer together ( they broke up in 2000/2001),

  • I am a Tasties fan too, i know the lead singer/bass player Tere Lerma.

  • Actually you do need permission to release a cover. Maybe not to play it live but if it is released under any format, you gots to pay up.

  • Whether they asked or not, they're getting royalties. The Didjits made more money when the Offspring covered them than they did the whole career before that. Of course (sadly) the Offspring sold better than Mountain Battles. Even the Republican Party can use "Barracuda," if they pay the royalties.

  • do the albums notes mention that they did not ask permission to cover the song?

  • it's not a rip off,it's a cover.I'm sure The Breeders have put in there album notes that they didn't write it.

  • I'm sure tere and the rest of the tasties would be thrilled if she shared the profits from her unautherized cover with them. After all you said it unkpop they HAVE worked very hard. Currently the breeders best song is it.

  • Kim Deal "discovered" The Tasties in 1994. I'm sure Tere Lerma is thrilled that Kim covered this song. The Tasties are genuine Dayton punks who've worked really hard. Good on you guys...Hans

  • yes it is. it has more of a ramones feel to it.

  • this is a rip off of the tasties. they even kept the song title. apperntly the breeders cant write anything original anymore.

  • yeah, it's cover... i'd like to hear the tasties version. is it good too?

  • All you have to do is type Tasties and we have many songs on site! Mondosmashagogo is our channel. No Breeders did not get permission to do this cover...

  • because most people are pathetic and would rather listen to the drool that the record companys and the radio craps out now a days.

  • 1000 views im literally responsible for 100 of em why noone like this band.

  • nice video, thanx!

  • tonight!

  • I CAN'T WAIT A WEEK!!!! UGH..ha ha
