Second film = more of a lighter plot, but shows how western culture has greatly influence Asia, ridding much of the agricultural aspects and implementing alot of urbanization. Each was very good and you have to look deep into it, not what it just shows. I bet alot of people didn't even know that the 2nd movie was set during the great depression.

Learn about the human anatomy. Bruce Lee studied the human body like no other and understood how the body works. I gotten good at when im sparring that I can tell what the other guy is doing before he evens has a chance. Ip man and Bruce Lee studied martial arts like no other they had tremendous time on their hands so if you did the same their is nothing you cant achieve. And you dont do this in martial arts but in all things.

I been studying martial arts since I 7yrs old and let me tell you 10 guys all attacking at the same time. NO! they don't. I have spare with 3 guys all at the same time and no they dont attack at the same time. One guy throws a punch one guy throws a kick. Stopped the guy throwing the punch stop guy throwing a kick and you can stop the next guy. Everyone talks shit but in reality everyone is just mad cause you cant do what ip man did. If you put your mind to it you can do anything.

yep, one of the best fight scenes as much as one of the finest to ever demonstrate the prowes of wing shun, and actually Donnie Yen was an olympic wing shun gold medalist like jet li, but he's not only limited to this fighting method, he is also adept in MMA..if you love this movie, wait till you see him in LEGEND OF THE FIST: RETURN OF CHEN ZHEN, it is more awesome than IP MAN. in his movie FLASH POINT he uses more of his skills in MMA than wing shun. download the movie guys, u won't regret it!

This is my personal and subjective view. However, I do agree that I should've seen the entire movie before blabbering. My bad.

At the same time, he finds a way to stop the Japanese without killing anyone. lol I think you'd actually enjoy the movie.

You're right that violence is violence and nothing can change that, but sometimes force is required to end violence. If by fighting I'm defending countless innocent people then so be it (provided of course, that there's no more peaceful alternative).

Ip Man disliked violence as well, he only ever fought in the movie when he had no choice but to fight to defend people. Aside from that he just had the occasional friendly duel in which nobody was trying to hurt one another.
