in response to Solid Snake i would reconmend and loww sensitvity if you are playing counterstrike as u will gain lots of needed precision aiming ... if you are a keen "awper" as i am i would even try a lower sesitvity and also if you play cs 1.6 i would change the zoom_sensitvity ratio to 1 so its not rearted anyways that works for me but ea to there own hope it helped i play with 1.3 sens at 800dpi

i think mouse sensitivity is more of a personal deal. for me, i keep it at 2000 dpi regardless what i'm doing, or playing. but my brother likes it super low, so idk.

mouse sensitivity, higher better(though i do not go over 1000dpi as it get's too sensitive) when moving alot in large outdoor areas such as the,

in small corridors and gangs i would not like anything above 800dpi though 400dpi is again too low.

For sniping almost the lower the better but 600dpi is best IMO as it get's me both fast movement and high accuracy.

My preferences are just limited to the 1280x1024 or lower resolution, if u have lets say 1900x1200 screen i would double the dpi amount according to what i suggested in first place to get smooth and good gameplay!

Holy crap, Logan is using a lot of cpi, I use 800 on my Lachesis, and would never dream of going higher. All the best gamers I know wouldn't either, I would not recommend. P.s. everyone is entitled to their own opinion/style, not bashing Logan.
