  • Peggy: 3:19 not pái shan, but pá shan. I've climbed that mountain dozens of times, from the street I can get to the summit and back down in just 30 minutes. There are also four other mountains surrounding 金瓜石 worth a trek.

  • @Glossika Thanks a lot for the correction, just edit it. :)

  • @Glossika

but you are the man's man right, standing on the top telling the world what an accomplishment you are and to seize the moment. 30 minutes up, yah, a real challenge, you might buy some respect shooting off from the top of K2 or Kilimanjaro. But probably a typical expatriot hiding out from the real world. Did you take those psychotic videos down that try and teach languages? You should learn one well rather than doing a shitty job of them all.

  • @Glossika can I go with you guys?

  • the old writing was better Peggy

  • Glad you got your new computer... Sounds and video quality were great, also liked the Graphics.

  • hi Peggy, i once went to Taoyuan. While there, i hiked with my friend a small mountain nearby....it was near the university i think, as we passed a track stadium on our way there (we walked from town). Someone told me this mountain was called "tiger mountain"....is this true....or can you tell me the real name of this place? thanks, xie xie.

  • @MargaritasAntesPorco I live nearby Tiger Head Mountain(虎頭山)!!! :)

  • I haven't watched one of your videos for a few months (subs not updating Grrr!) Anyway I just noticed straight away you have matured in the face a bit....i guess you only notice things like that when you dont see a face for a good while. anyway...thats it lol

  • jiejie hen mei le!! (姐姐很漂亮) ^_^

  • Another question. I've learned that xiang meant to want or to think. But I have always used xiang for think, because I have learned that yao meant to want. So I used yao want and xiang for think. Also the first time I learned hui, I learned it as "to come back". The 2nd meaning I learned was "will" as in "I will..." and the 3rd I learned was to have the ability. I still get so confused when people say "wo hui shuo zhong wen", I keep thinking they are saying "I WILL talk Chinese".

  • @LanceDaPsycho

there is no question in your rambling statement.

  • @aminimaleffort hey now! don't be a hater! I understand days can be stressful, but no need to take it out on the innocent people!

  • OMG I am mad! >:O at 4:02 Before I read the translation, I thought you said "I'm tired, I want to wash my hands a little", I mixed up the "xiu xi" with "shou xi". I know that shou has a "shh" sound and xiu has a mixture of "shh" and the "ss" sounds.

UPDATE: literally 5 seconds after typing the part before. I just remembered it's not "shou xi", it is "xi shou" for washing hands, HA! Now I'm embarrassed.

I've studied Chinese for about 2-3 years, and continuing. :D

  • @LanceDaPsycho

    slow learner

  • @aminimaleffort you're right, I should just give up. Being at the top of my class means nothing if someone else thinks I am not worthy to learn this language. HA psycho! I'm not going to stop cause of some hater! lol, silly boy. Maybe I know more than you! :D lol

  • @LanceDaPsycho

You are not a smart liar. Saying 2-3 years is the give away. if you said something like "16 or 17 " months, those are believable numbers as you can be excused for being out a month. But the interval of accuracy over 2-3 years of one year shows your deceit. The other thing is that you questions are the sort that would come in the first 2 months of study, not the third year. You also do not write either Pinyin or Hanzi, dead give away.

  • @aminimaleffort hmm, did you grow up in a strict house where you were whipped for accidentally blinking your left eye a second faster than ur right? u dont have to be perfect! You may not be used to getting compliments, only harsh criticism, but try it! Not only does it make others feel good, it may also make u feel good too! just try it! just cause someone makes a mistake, u dont need to exploit it to make ur self feel big. dont be such a hater, ur obviously watching her vids to

  • @aminimaleffort and good point about the pinyin, i love pinyin! i study that the hardest. i didnt include it because i was going to explain the meaning, derr lol. writing the actual character is actually the challenging part for me. but its funny how so many people just go to google.translate to get those characters. impressive :P

  • @LanceDaPsycho

I haven't seen you write any Pinyin yet. You will find that online tranlators are horribly inaccurate.

  • @aminimaleffort the reason u havent see me write any pinyin, was because i didnt write down any pinyin, the reason why i didnt write any pinyin because i was going to explain the meaning of the word i typed, derr lol. and yes of course! whenever I tried using an online translator to translate a sentence in English to Chinese, the grammar is often way off! i do however like using them as a reference

  • @LanceDaPsycho

If you had really studied for "2 to 3 years" you would not need a translator.

  • @aminimaleffort thats not a fact, thats an opinion. do you know that people who study languages to become interpreters/translators, or simply double major with a language and another area of study, for example a lawyer who has studied another language. although they may be proficient in that language, they still higher a more proficient translator or native speaker to translate for them. (continued)

  • @LanceDaPsycho

    "higher"?, do you mean "hire"?

  • @aminimaleffort that is because people can interpret things differently and especially with law and having people's fate in ur hands, u have to be careful. because you may not always catch everything. i have never heard of a person who becomes fluent in a language in 2-3 years, NEVER. if ur that gifted type, i bet u know more than 20 languages like a native speaker. so dont try and give false information, and please stop trying to discourage people. no matter how discouraged u r

  • @LanceDaPsycho

not discouraging you, just calling bullshit, you are a teenager or an infantile adult, you have children's games posted on your channel. how old?, 15?. If you don't know how to compound very common very simple Mandarin verbs after "2-3 years", maybe you should give up.

  • @aminimaleffort wow, well thats pretty harsh. you just said you werent discouraging me..but ur suggesting "giving up". but i guess that doesnt apply to me because i do know the basics, especially when it comes to commonly taught verbs, and grammatical structures. so I'm in the clear! , and how dare u try and bring me down, start making assumptions, and judging me. I am fortunate to be a bright learner with a lot of support. u dont have to move on alone, try making some friends

  • @LanceDaPsycho

15? , video games, grow up, quit lying.

  • @aminimaleffort im sorry that u think im being childish by trying to be my self, and for trying to help u out...but u know it all makes sense now. i never form an opinion of someone based entirely off of what they say online, nor what they have on their youtube page. nice comments btw that people left for u on ur page. u seem to have been bothering other people too, not just victimizing me. i see you have also attacked someone else on this page...yikes...why r u so angry?

  • @LanceDaPsycho

yah, that's it, I need help with Chinese language. people don't like to be called on their internet deceptions. victimizing you, grow up, you got caught in your lies. better ask mommy and daddy if you can stay up late tonight to use the computer.

  • @aminimaleffort taking negative criticism for what i enjoy doing doesnt really affect me :P I started out my comment on this vid as a motivated (and still am) learner, being happy about pointing out my little and surely common mistake. I never intended to go onto a learning video to spread lies. but ty for jumping in with the "you got caught in your lies.", thats where u messed up! u obviously picked me and tried to turn my comment into a problem! lol (contineud)

  • @aminimaleffort (continued) i think ur just being a H.A.T.E.R. (H)aving (A)nger (T)owards (E)veryone (R)eaching (S)uccess. u had tried to find an excuse to bash me. its clear and the evidence is all around u. and if u really need help with ur Chinese, then get the help! but dont go flaming everyone who u feel has a more passionate goal to pursue. thank u!

  • @LanceDaPsycho

I was born in China, don't need help with my Mandarin, thanks anyways. Maybe you could learn to be more honest online.

  • @aminimaleffort omg, u were born in China, possibly know the language, and yet u come onto basic Mandarin learning videos to insult and belittle people who are trying to learn? omg thats a terrible thing to do! sorry, but just being honest. u really should be helping people! why r u subbed to all these Chinese learning channels? this is very strange, r u lying? if so then ur being extremely contradictory and a hypocrite....thats sad

  • ni hao mei :) did i get it right?

  • @Traumaprod1 if u were trying to say "hello, beautiful" then yes!!!! :D however, if u were trying to say "how are you?" that would be "ni hao ma?" ;D

  • love the new music peggy!!
