  • dam that sounded expensive!

  • "here it goes for a low pass!!!" *BAM* Rejected!

  • He holerd like it was his plane.

  • @FASTPISTOLDRAW Yes I did. LOL it's a hard thing to see when you are in the hobby but your just glad it's not one of your's you know.

  • Now it's the smallest plane there....ouch!

  • Low Pass, My Azz LOL

  • Guy 1: Here it comes making a low pa-

    Guy : OOHH!!!

  • What would make a plane cost 6k?

  • @HamdhanA330 All I know is what I was told but that BIG ass engine looked expensive.

  • @HamdhanA330 on a plane like that , everything is spendy,,airframe =1,200-1,700 motor = 2,500 -3,500 depending on with one? electronics and batts 400.00 it adds up quick, my at6 war bird i have about 3,000 invested in that..

  • @fastestcararound True...I wanted to spend around $50 for my plane parts (Motor, Prop, Tx/Rx, LiPo, ESc, Servos etc) but I ended up spending like $300

  • @HamdhanA330 the airframe by itself would be at least $1500 then all the electronics and the engine

  • if i lost even a $50 plane, i'd CRY! i'd be depressed for like a week!

  • @HamdhanA330 .lol it would take me a year to get over it maybe.

  • Talk about a "walk of shame"...I feel bad tearing up a couple hundred bucks!!

  • @XRayCam I feel your pain but not his. I could not fathum the loss he felt. I'm sure the engins were fine and most of the gear was fine but the rest might be done.

  • u could fix that up with some duct tape and another 6000 dollars. not a lot u gotta do

  • 3:27 OHHHHHHH! in slow mo

  • @edychuby HA, HA, HA, HA, HA! Chue Baca!!!! (I don't know how to spell that LOL).

  • cobra manuever lol

  • ha ha!!

  • If you build them, A crash will come.

  • @CyberPilot360 I know, I'm a dork but I love the hobby.

  • Comment removed

  • Id prefer the 2nd biggest plane :P

  • I think the airplane got ahead of the pilot... the cause of the crash.. LOL...

  • I love the slow mo bit. The guy doing the videoing sounds like Chewbakka!! lol

  • @SeptemberFury Yep that was me . : )

  • @gwsslowstick is this by highway 32

  • @jcarterize Not sure, I'll have to find out. That was my first time there.

  • Tragic crash of a beautiful model. I still can't figure out how he spent $6k on a non-turbine plane. Lets say the kit was $800, the engine $2k, electronics (not including Tx) $500, supplies $100. It doesn't add up for me anyway. Still, I believe the price you got from the owner. Thanks for the vid. Peace. - Rob

  • @Partok81 $800.00 for the airframe? You have been looking at the Tower Hobbies catalog too many times. A 35% Carf or Composit airframe starts out at about $3000.00. Turbine are also expensive (I own one with a Jetcat P80.

  • @Partok81 if it is one of the ARF versions they go for $2-$3000 then you have radio servos gyros and engine. and those engines arent cheap. not as bad as a turbine but not dime a dozen either. If it was a stick and fiberglass kit those are $3-$4000 a piece so yea it adds up quick. when my dad and flew together years ago we used to look at a crash as kind of a good thing. we always had a bunch of different kits in the attic so we would destroy one and crawl in the attic and grab the next kit.

  • What a shitty pilot.

  • @Trivon90 do you even know how to fly? everyone crashes

  • @RcTinCan

Yes I do know how to fly. Look at my video. How do you even crash doing an upright low pass.

  • @Trivon90 Not judging the altitude right, i fly electric though because gassers just cost too much and repairs and i dont have a big area to fly...

  • @Trivon90 2:24 "Now you see that dark line at the other side of the flying field about shoulder height of the 2 guys? From there the ground is about 12 inches higher than the flying field. Keep that in mind."

  • @Trivon90 I agree, shit pilot...

  • RIP RICKS PLANE.

  • Holy shit....that was a damn expensive crash how did the pilot took it ?

  • @RadioOperator01 He just said "It happens".

  • @gwsslowstick with an SH in front of "it happens"

  • @ExtremeAcres How true, how true.

  • @gwsslowstick I live in grafton. i would like too see this flyin could you tell me where it is

  • @jcarterize Oh crap.... I can't remember exactly but it's off of I-43 North. I'll look it up and get back to you. Do you fly RC?

  • nerdz

  • nerdz

  • Now that crash would have made me sick. If those large scale planes get any bigger soon they will be flying full size with remote.

  • @vangard213 Yeah some of the rc planes out there could fit a small child.

  • Damn, you jumped like it was a real plane

  • @THEPANTSWEREDEAD LOL It sure took me by surprise.

  • That's called a touch and no go..

  • @7777dmith7777 HA, HA, HA, HA. He's thinkin... Ok I just want to kiss the gruond hear and.....OH SHIT!!!!!!

  • Not so big now, is it?

  • @ferdorski HAAAAAAA, HA, HA, ha, ha, hee, hee....

  • If he has put $6000 into that airplane he has paid too much. No more than 3500.

  • @alabamaramma I'm not sure but eather way it's a big loss.

  • If I was into thjs. I would only stick with cheap little planes

  • @Xenomorph237 Hey the small planes are just as much fun to fly as the big ones .

Just that the big planes you can take them out further and not loose orientation of the plane. Most of my planes are small like 30 in wing span.

  • i was just joking but amazing vid guy

  • the guy cant fly thats all.....he`s a complete loser and his mommy never really did like him at all.

  • that is a walk of sham that is 100% and i am a plane flyer too and much more funnier crashes have happened to me with my private jets and my rc palnes

my dad is rich man my rc plane costs 50000

  • Unfortunately, that's part of the hobby. What goes up will always come down, just sometimes not in a planned or controlled fashion. I'm sure the guy was trying not to cry, but I'm also sure he later rebuilt and kept on flying.

  • I THREW IT ON THE GROUND!

  • Ever hear of a zoom lense?

  • @SeptemberFury Ever hear of a cheap ass camera? Well thats all I had with me at the time.

  • you dont know how pissed i would be

  • @nolandew1 Yeah I don’t get mad if I crash one of my foamy pusher jets. I just laugh and hope I got it on video. Then go home and fix it. Hell I've even crashed my big PT-40 Nitro Fuel plane and laugh (it was fixable) but with that big ass pane with expensive gear in it I would have been kickin my own ass.

  • 3:42 The Walk of Shame

  • @wpmacyt Hang head and don't make eye contact kind of shame.

  • that would rot your socks lol

  • Ironic how the Cub model was the second largest plane....

  • @WhiskeyMikeNinerTwo Sorry this took so long. Looking back on it it was very close in size.

  • ouch I got candy in my eye. heheh

  • @lewandlo Sorry this took so long. I think it would be funny to drop the candy ON the kids. Just give them safty glasses. : )

  • sorry but that didnt look like a matter of a couple feet.

  • @easylover187 Sorry this took so long. It's hard to tell with my grainy video.

  • i live in WI also!

  • @Cruzinon22s Sorry this took so long but where in WI? Do you fly RC also?

  • for those against big planes ,,just dont forget ,,for some 6 k is just like 6 dollars ,so it may not have done much damage to his finances,,the issue is if it cost 600 k if you dont fly it right ,it will be worth scrap.

  • @norm53 So true, so true.

  • @norm53 its not really about the money what about the time and effort put in to make the plane

  • Did they eat it afterwards or just let it go to waste?

  • @Robert111 No, someone forgot the mustard. :p

  • @Robert111

Omfg rarely do comments touch me like your has Sir.... LOL

  • I wonder if they sell $6,000 Zeppelin's Oh no its out of control .... boink!!

  • That´s why all my planes are under $1000.

  • haaha, waht a mishap and a loser

  • $6000.00 in a plane? omg thats why i love foamies! :D

  • @heberorozco Yes I love the foamies too but I would love a GIANT scale plane some day.

  • @gwsslowstick however 6000? wow man ur rich :D

  • @heberorozco ha ha. i just spent 1200 on mine that was not much smaller than this

  • @Pilotsofer Cool

  • Funny thing about that Sun flower. I hit it on approach with me left wing tip. It spun around 3 times in the air. then nose dived right on the engine spinner. broke the motor mount and was still running. taxied it over to me and was rattling around in the cowling. I used carbon fiber leading edges, only a small dent on it.

  • I don't see a 6k plane here. maybe 3k, the kit and motor are around $2500, toss in some servos and RX, the motor is probably fine. so he is just out a plane. next it would be good idea to walk the area first. shit I hit a sun flower that was 7' tall. looked shorter till you walk up to it.

  • @WizzRacing I am just relaying what I was told as for cost. Yes you should walk the field if you are not familiar with it. As for the Sunflower, that is funny (but it stil sucks).

  • 6000 DOLLARS!!!! YOU CAN BUY A REAL STARTER PLANE FOR 6000 DOLLARS AND SIT IN IT $6000 ARE YOU NUTS?

  • @OKINAWA78 I KNOW. A'nt that a kick in the head. LOL

  • @OKINAWA78 really were do you get theme?

  • I feel bad, just makes me want to stop buying rc planes.

  • @1stcenturyproduction No, just don't biuld $6000.00 RC planes and you'll be ok. LOL.

  • sad but totally unnecessary crash - pilot error..he cant even blame mechanical failure

  • @nighthawk0077 Oh man, I know. He got cocky right off the bat

  • think i will stick to my msr micro helli - ouch !

  • @atreewithnolife I seen a dude with a heli about 10min after that air plane crash, just drive a $600.00 helli in to the ground during his practice but I failed to get that on video.

  • @gwsslowstick yeah sad stuff

  • @gwsslowstick (lol, you failed)

  • I know exactly how he must have felt . I live in the U.P Mi and I would love to come and fly ay any of your fun flys.

  • a bit too low

  • Haha, that plane at the end was "dropping a big load." I know, I know, it's completely juvenille of me, but it made me chuckle.

  • @lisarenee3505 HA, HA, That is funny. I did not realy listen to what he had said before.

  • how to loose 6000 dollers in more than 6 minutes :D

  • @trainlover658 I know hey. I do not beleave he is out the total $6000 so long as the gear inside and the twin engines are still good.

  • OMG, the crash happened at 3:05, and it's a pilot's fault! Why to low pass so low?

  • @TheGreatFlyer He thought he was over the flying field when he came in low but the plane was just on the other side of the flying field and the groung is higher in that area by about a foot.

  • That guy wasnt kidding when he said he was coming in for a low pass!!

  • Low enough for ya? Hotshot with your overpriced toy. :')

  • If you cannot afford to crash it, you cannot afford to fly it.

  • @ballsey True that my friend.

  • thats going to hurt the pocket thats for sure!

  • @glockeva I'm sure his wife was pissed and probably won't let him get another one like it.

  • this guy must be pist

  • @DODGE9663 All he said later was "Well, it happens" and then he went and flew his 2nd biggest plane just fine.

  • oops

  • hope that dosn't happen to my plane! watch it on my account @ rcjetfire it will be on at least at about... April 15, 2010 TY!

  • Oh F*&^! Sad. WERE TALKING 6 GRAND HERE! All down the drain!

  • OUCH!

  • @Icedude91 More like a "OH FUCK" lol.

  • @gwsslowstick Oh Yea

  • and when theyre up there u cant even tell how big they are !

  • @PLISKEN12 Yeah, it can be deceiving.

  • I have a hard time thinking how the parts for that can add up to 6000, but I'm sure he salvaged at least half the worth.

  • @pgiustino I sure hope so. It was not a strait down nose dive so I think most of the gear would be ok.

  • hehehe rip ^^

  • i really dont know how u could spend that much on a plane.i know a website where u can get big birds for a few hundred dollars.

  • I have seen planes that size go for $1100.00 or more then you add in all of the gear. The price can climb quick.

  • oh i know but u wont have to if u know where to shop

  • True... But I think he has the money to where he does not care. He even said after the crash " Oh well,.........It happens".

    LOL.

  • @PLISKEN12 these are competition grade. A plane like this cannot be under $200 or $3000 and be considered "precise."

  • @Shadowtech666

IF thats what u want to believe.

  • @Shadowtech666

and it crashed precisely to the ground.

  • fact is theyre all made of balsa and plywood w/ monokote and theyr all made in CHINA!

  • @PLISKEN12 DA 150cc engine: $1500-2000.

    Composite fuse: 1000

    Bolly CF prop: 180

    8 Digital servos: 1000

    Dual battery and electronics: 300

    Smoke pump: 200

    Wifey cravings: 1500

  • @araranca

    when it crashes hard $25

  • @PLISKEN12 Yep. Specially with less than 4 minutes airborne.

  • dam man that had to really suck ass id would have been sow dam pissed

  • Yeah I know. But all he said was "It happens".

  • Yes, I would have been pissed too but that is just part of the hobby. My good freind that got me into the hobby said "If you are afraid of crashing your plane than this is not the hobby for you". So true, so true.

  • lol

  • WOW FAIL

  • i doubt it is 6000 but i could be wrong

  • This is just what I was told by one of the there pilots that day.

  • It probably was. Airframe: $1000-2200. Engine: 1400-2000. Electronics: 1200-1500. Mufflers: 200. Propelor/Spinner: 200-400. And plus all of the wiring and hardware.

  • wow...very wrong! my cheapest turbine cost me about $8,000 and i see these guys all the time with as much as 8,9, even $10,000 into their birds. my biggest bird , the f-22, has got me for about $12,000 not including fuels and mis. stuff.

  • Ok...

  • I agree with stability, but how come it is easy to fly, difficult in turns right? And you need to land in speed in order to land smooth, not that fast but about 20-30 KM/H, in RC i am talking.

  • The bigger the plane the more air space it needs for turning and a higher speed for landing because of the weight.

  • These planes can slow down much better than you think. That pilot in the video had that plane going way too fast. He was doing full throttle downlines.

  • These aerobatic planes can just walk down the runway if you let them. They dont float so you really dont need too much runway to land them. They fly MUCH better than small planes.

  • Bigger the plane more dangerous it is and difficult to fly.

  • A bigger aeroplane is more stable and easier to fly.

  • I would agree especially in high winds.

  • Wrong totally wrong. Dangerous maybe but alot easier due to the fact they are easier to c and also they fly alot smoother. U take a tiny plane like a slow stick out in wind and the say a big glider. Bigger one is easier to fly hands down.

  • LOL! I Feel for the one who paid for it -.-

  • And he is coming in for a low pass...

OUCH. I have done that before but not with a $6000 airplane =(.

  • I know man. I resently did that with my F-18 on some high speed low passes but mine is only about $30 and foam so I had it repaired in an hour. Check out that video in my list. It's kind of funny.

  • the land was one foot higher on the other side, hua? humm! it is a very polite way to say is time for this pilot to start to use glasses..

  • at 3:30 he busted a nut
