  • @fixdeluxe1 Thanks for watching!

  • Poor Mans Torture Chamber xD

  • I fixed my heavy bag on beams and ended up cracking the main beam support structure after 2 years of everyday training.

  • @funguysmall You must punch pretty hard.

  • @RamblinAround A builder told me that the beams arent made to handle the stress of constant punching.

  • @funguysmall I guess that is true.

  • i like it. looks like a place where rocky would train lol

  • The chain idea is fantatstic

  • @hanginghimself I can't claim that idea for myself. I think I probably saw someone else doing that at some point..maybe Louie Simmons from Westside Barbell. Thanks for watching!

  • i wish i had a basement to do this to, it beats a gym cause its open all the time and no fees! thanks for some ideas too

  • @muhtalikah Thanks for watching! You can always find ways to make do with what you have.

  • I couldn't put something together like that in a 1000 years. Jealous of your ingenuity..way to go bro!

  • @ufgatorbait2001 Thanks....necessity is mother of invention I guess. It was a good way to save a few bucks. Thanks for watching!

  • Who care's if it doesnt look fancy, I Think it looks great and you've got some great bodyweight things to do in there, For a small price compared to what all the gym equipment companys would charge... Good job man

  • @AdamRockNRoll1 Thanks man, I appreciate that! Thanks for watching!

  • I absolutely love old school shit. i don't know what it is, but after i watched this video, i am truly in love

  • Love the dipping rack

  • i love your gym:)

  • @915olivares1 Thanks for watching!

  • you made that, awesome costume==:)

  • how do i lose my arms fat??

or how long does it take???

  • @915olivares1 You can't really reduce fat in a specific area. The only way to lose flab on your arms is to lose weight overall. Your diet is even more important than exercise when it comes to weight loss. A little while after this video, I decided to cut soda out of my diet and to start watching my overall calorie intake. With a combination of that and some running, I've lost about 25 Lbs so far.You can also tone up the muscles of your arms with some exercises, like push ups and dumbbell curls.

  • @RamblinAround

    thank u:)

  • Very nice setup.

  • @aliiaimoku Thanks for watching!

  • Your pretty smart. U get the same results basically. With out having to go spend crazy amounts of money. Like they say "you" can take the dog out of the fight, but u can't take the fight out of the dog" great video

  • @litchfieldlax Thanks, I really don't think it's necessary to have fancy equipment to stay in shape. The main thing is just training consistently. Thanks for watching!

  • Wow, awesome setup!

  • @jusdafide Thanks for watching!

  • great video I have the same setup for chinups 2x6s screwed to the joists works great I love the dip setup I also work out at home left the public gym years ago.

  • at the end of the day it does the job, why pay for expensive equipment

  • @TheNicholasB You said it yourself, at the end of the DAY. Commercial grade equipment lasts a lifetime.

  • That's my type of gym!! good work. God Bless

  • if u really want those dips to burn stop 2 or 3 times in the middle of a rep and hold, flex hard and keep repping. also dont lock out at the top after each rep. and for leg raises keep ur legs straight as many reps as you can then try to match that number of reps with ur legs bent.

  • Nice Gym :)

  • you've got your own home gym and i bet all of that cost only a fraction of the cost of any other store bought setup. good job man!

  • @paradoxdesigns Thanks man, I try to make do with what I have.

  • That's pretty clever with the chain. Definitely a "poor mans" gym lol!

  • Looks more like a torture chamber!

  • Really nice! A real DIY gym! Shame I don't have a big basement where I could make a gym like this.

I hope you make some more of these videos!

    Matt

  • @DireStraitsInImpala Thanks..I still have a lot more homemade equipment to show yet. I'll be making another video shortly. Thanks for watching!

  • Pretty awesome setup!

  • @alinfustree Thanks for watching!

  • that's pretty slick. it is really built well. you did a good job constructing all that stuff. and you mentioned you lifted before . and your muscles don't forget so it takes less time to get it back..believe me. i broke my neck and built back up nicely...thumbs up!!!

  • @HALLSYSKITCHEN You're right about muscle having memory. I've quit lifting for a while a few times before...but my strength always comes back pretty quickly once I get back at it. I can usually get back to my previous level of strength within a month or two. Thanks for watching.

  • Cool ideas! I don´t have the money to go to a gym so I´m training at home too.

    Cheers!

    Ben

  • @SaveOldCars I always try to make do with what I have, instead of just going out and buying stuff. I even have some weights made from pipe and cement blocks. I may show some more of my equipment in the future. Thanks for watching!

  • good luck jeff ,nice setup

  • @menolution Thanks for watching, Meno.

  • love it

  • @charg2456 Thanks for watching!

  • Great set-up you have. I'm in the gym 5 days a week. I know i got a better workout when i was taking No Explode supplement. It's a powder and you mix it with water before your work-out. Was able to lift alot more and get more reps. This was before I became a raw veagan and lost 60 lbs. I still lift but i don't do any supplements now.

  • @kodonnell1 I've never really gotten into supplements very much. I'm sure some of them work very well, but I always worry about possible side effects. First, I'm just going to focus on getting in my workouts and then later I can start thinking more about my diet.

  • @RamblinAround Supps are only needed if you are going to go to shows etc, the most i've ever done is Gold standard whey and lots of calories a few hrs before a intense work out.

  • cool homemade set of weights.

  • @paperweightgirl Thanks for watching!

  • Sweet! I've gotta get mine going again like this.

  • @vfIskullangel Thanks for watching!

  • Thumbs up, for another interesting video.

  • @SuRihtanil Thanks for watching!

  • you have some nice ideas there, thanks for sharing...

  • @knikula Thanks for watching, I appreciate it.

  • very cool, you are very crafty, id say you have sparked some ideas in capt johns head!!

  • @TheWakey420 Thanks for watching!

  • so you are a next generation on solso tour the A team and in mean lean machine right ^-^

  • @koioo2 I don't know about all that, but I am seriously going to do my best to get back into shape.

  • @RamblinAround jeff do not push take your time rest and drink eat on time.there is no drill officer.this take time.

i am guilty as wel.don t eat to much junk food.sometimes i buy and go to McDonalds,so now and than..

  • @koioo2 I definitely make a few too many trips to fast food drive thru's...lol

  • good stuff, some of the stuff reminds me of that chinese military shovel, you see something on it and go "wtf" then you see how it's used and you're like "OH OK THEN, HAPPY FACE! :D"

  • @FatGuyWithAKatana Thanks...yep, everything down there has a specific purpose. Thanks for watching!

  • Great home made gym Jeff, i like the chain idea very innovative. But fore the chin ups thou you should change the 2/4 with a steel pipe fore more comfort, and improved grip.

  • @1891VIC Thanks for watching...and you're definitely right, a bar is a lot more comfortable for chin-ups.

  • Yes i know cos i use to do chin-ups exactly like you ; ) on a 2/4, now unfortunately i don't work out that much anymore. But your vid is motivational i have to start pumping some iron to and get in shape again.

  • what do you do for living, it seems like you have a million and one hobbies..

  • @BLSNick I work as a crane inspector for a truck equipment company. The main reason I have the free time is because I only sleep about 5 hours a night. I just have a need to keep busy constantly.

  • your right..u dont have to spend a lot of money to work out...i like the edelbrock sticker on the mirror.

  • @XboobtubeX Yeah, you know how they always throw in those stickers with your parts. I have those things everywhere. I have a fridge out in the shed that's completely covered in them.

  • now thats a dadgum dandy redneck gym! yessireee!! haha

  • @1963impala2dr It's pretty cobbled together, but it'll get the job done. Thanks for watching, Ken!

  • Thanks for the shoutout man... And that chain idea is something i will definitely do....Makes sense to me and you probably get a better workout through the whole range of motion even with the smaller amounts of weight in a toning workout vs. strength training !...Thanks again !

  • @cisjohn2616 No problem. The chains do work really well, glad I was able to pass that idea on. I'm going to do my best to stick with working out for a while....hope you're able to do the same.

  • Nothing better then getting the job done and not spending money ******

  • @w1dvf Very true....thanks for watching!

  • COnGrats Jeff on getting back to the GYM. Spring seems to do that to us after a winter of being lazy. From the amount of weights you have there Jeff I assume you're planning on changing engines with your bare hands. :-)

  • @gene978 That's definitely true...I was pretty lazy over the winter. I got real busy with other things and really neglected my workouts. I'm going to hit it pretty hard from here on out. Thanks for watching!

  • Pretty cool set up!! How much do you charge for a yearly membership!!☺

  • @805ROADKING Our membership is pretty reasonable, we just ask that you bring a weight plate with you each month...lol

  • nice work out place you got there Jeff !

  • @josderedneck22 Thanks for watching, Jos! Now I just have to make myself go down there and workout everyday like I'm supposed to.

  • the people who say they will workout get good equipment ..... people who work out make there own equipment !!!

  • @ils360 I think there is some truth to that. Thanks for watching!
