A simple and straightforward person, Punditji was known for his innocence and ability to mix very easily with members of his fraternity and outsiders, especially, the younger folk.I heard & see him n no of times.His mastery over the traditional & non-traditional forms of almost all the gharanas made him a favourite among Classical Music lovers. Scholars hardly differ on the purity and clarity of his note.

No. The first part of the performance is "E pyari pag hole" in Bihagada. The druta bandish is "jhan jhan jhan payal baaje" which is a standard and very popular chiz in Nat Bihag. It was recorded commercially by Mallikarjunbua on an lp, and it has also been performed by many other artists. Ustad Faiyaaz Khan's 78 rpm recording is particularly noteworthy.

Bua was very fond of singing a bada khyal in a Bihag prakaar and then following it with this chiz in Nat Bihag.
